Customer Service is the worst I have ever encountered . Placed order and came in to pick up order an hour later . They told me they were busy and hadn't gotten to it yet . I'm Italian and from Chicago and I love deep dish. Rosati's years ago was pretty good. Not the best but pretty good. Then it was terrible. We stopped going. The Italian beef was super salty that was not edible. We were thrilled to hear there was new management or owners thought we would try it out. Out of a 1 to 5 I give it a 2 1/2. The only thing that was ok was the sauce the dough was like cardboard. Nothing seemed fresh. Everything seemed prepped before hand. We were really hoping it would be awesome. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews. I want everyone to be a success, but I have to be honest. read more

Rosati's Pizza is under new ownership. The last owner advertised "Chicago Italian Beef Sandwiches " that was disappointing. I'm happy to report that the new owner's got the recipe right. While I've lived in California for more 50 years, I spent nearly 20 years working in Chicago where I experienced my favorite Southside Beef stand - "Al's BBQ" that was rated Chicago's favorite on Taylor Street West of Halstead Street. We've lived in La Quinta for 30 years and the closest I've come to finding an original Italian Beef Sandwich was located in Long Beach (unfortunately I do not remember the name). The man difference between a "Sliced Beef" and an "Italian Beef" is the paper-thin "shaved"beef and spices. Authentic Chicago Italian Beef is simmered in the spiced juices and piled high on an Italian Roll. Winter "Snowbirds" escaping the cold Chicago winters no longer need to travel to Long Beach for their Chicago favorite sandwich. Rosati's finally did their homework and brought Chicago's Italian Beef to the Desert. I gave Rosati's 4 out of 5 stars, deducting one point for skimping on the amount of beef served on the sandwiches I've ordered in Chicago, IMO, Rosati's has a winner but before they can claim success, they need to give California a new sandwich that satisfies the appetite as well as the budget. Thought that we would give this place another chance being it is under new management. The deep dish pizza is terrible, it tasted no different than if you bought a frozen pizza from your grocery store. I would bet the pizzas come pre made and all they had to do is put the topping and sauce on. My wife is from Chicago and this dog don't hunt. This is the second time that I've ordered from them since new ownership though and the pizza is definitely not cooked all the way, and tastes way different than it used to. This place is completely terrible. My review is solely on the customer service since i wasnt able to even place an order. I tried to call in an order, first for delivery but was told no one delivers unless i go thru postmates (im not paying all those extra fees) so i decided to go pick up. I was told it would be 35-45 mins just for pick because of "my large order" .... umm ok its was 2 pizzas and 6 wings pretty standard order not sure what is so large about it. The rude girl then proceeds to tell me i need to pre-pay for my order because im a need customer. WTF???!!! I ask to speak to a manager because first i didnt feel comfortable giving my card info over the phone to a stranger, second i wanted to pay in cash!! I get the ooohh so rude Winter (if that was even her name) saying that i need to order at least 15 times so they can know my behavior. WHAT THE ACTUAL F@*K!!! Apparently alot ppl flake on their orders and frankly based on their wait times i understand why!! But again why should i be held responsible for that. So basically my order was rejected because they wanted to force me to pay by card. This franchise is a disgrace to Rosati's!!! Ive had it several times in Chicago with no nonsense like this. The food is excellent. We got a Monster Pizza. Chicken wings (to die for) and the dough pizza bites. The food rating is five stars. The reason for the lower rating is the absolutely snooty customer service over the phone and in person. I can appreciate people are having a harder time during COVID but a kindness approach is always better than a rude one. I felt like it was our honor that Rosita's let us order from them. By the way, it took an hour and 15 minutes for three pizzas and the wings. Seems a long time to wait for an order and when we picked up our food we were the only ones there. How is this place still open??? I wish I could give 0 stars.... I went in to place a take out order a couple of months ago. The place was totally empty during prime dinner hours. They told me it would take 50 minutes to make my order for 1 person. That seemed excessive to me and I didn't want to wait nearly an hour so I left. Not a single customer in the place and 50 minutes to make one order? I seemed to forget my last experience and went in last week to place a simple take out order. There was one table of 4 seated waiting for their food. I placed an order for spaghetti and meatballs and 6 wings. The girl went back to the kitchen and came back to tell me it would be 40 minutes. There is no way that should take 40 minutes. If you were dining in at any restaurant and your food took 40 minutes you'd be upset, never mind the fact that there was only 1 table of customers. (Sure there may be delivery orders pending but that's no excuse.) Again, I left, regretting wasting my time to give them another chance. So this place usually does not dispoint but this time I have to say it was not the normal since Covid all businesses have gone down cutting back on service product and theses guys were no different. pizza was fair, not the OMG you remember, they were out of all sorts of toppings and things to make salads (ummm smart and final across the street guys, go shop for your menu) took over and hour after we ordered to get our pizza , if it had 10 pepperoni on it I'm probably over stating , crust was over cooked and the service was fair at best... we had a better experience at Dominos last time we ordered we won't be coming back anytime soon Covid has ruined the restura business read more

Are they trying to sell food or not? The online ordering was not available. When calling in the order, they only allowed two modifications to a $31 pizza. I had to pay over the phone for my $52 bill, which wasn't a problem, but then the cardholder had to be present with ID. Then add the 1:10 wait for a thin crust pizza. Forget it! I had written this place off under the old management. Under the new Management I am a fan. I had a great Italian Beef Sandwich with hot giardiniera. Now here is the kicker....They asked how wet I wanted. Brilliant! No more dry or overly soggy sandwich that falls apart before you finish it. You can have it as moist as you want. Chicago-style deep dish pizza...in the middle of the desert? You betcha! Wife and I were spending our 1st wedding anni in Indian Wells earlier this year and were in the mood for pizza. Found Rosati's on Yelp and we were so glad we did! Nice buttery crust, plenty of toppings. We got the small 12" with half Hawaiian and half Rosati's Monster with a 6pc side of wings and it was just way too much food for the 2 of us. I'm not normally a huge fan of sauce slathered all over pizza, but this tomato sauce was really tasty and complemented the toppings and crust very well. Don't know if or when we'll be back to the area, but if we are, we'll definitely drop by if we want pizza! read more

We were regular customers of Rosati's La Quinta when it first opened up many years ago. They closed down and re-opened under new ownership and it has never been the same since. We heard that they re-opened again last year and that the Rosati's family photos were back on the menu (they were missing on the boxes the last time we ordered), but unfortunately we were disappointed again. Instead of a true Chicago deep dish pizza that we were craving, we got a thin crust pizza that was masquerading as a deep dish. Thin crust was formed to create a "bowl" that was filled with under-cooked dough, too much mozzarella, way too much tomato and hardly any toppings. We ordered pepperoni, mushroom, onion and green pepper - the Pepperoni Classic. It was watery, super thin and just NOT the Rosati's experience we were hoping to have once again. Look at the OLD photos on this Yelp! page from 2012, 2011 and 2009 - super deep dish pizzas with that classic buttery crust and amazingly generous toppings - well worth $30+ for a pie. Today? Check out my photos - I paid $35 and I feel totally ripped off. If this had been my first taste of so-called Chicago deep dish, I would never give it a second thought. Now we're going to have to look online for recipes to try and replicate the experience. Shame on you Rosati's for going FRANCHISE and selling out the family business. I don't see this location or this franchise lasting much longer if they keep selling less than mediocre pizzas like the one we just received. read more

I was told by a acquaintance from Chicago that this is as close to Chicago style pizza one can get in desert. Bottom line, I did not care for the crust. It was like a very dry and hard apple pie crust. I wanted to give a 2.5 stars. With tip $20 and not a value to me. The garlic topped pizza with Italian peppers was gooey and I liked it, good but not enough that I would get it again. The Diet Pepsi at self serve fountain was flat, the manager shrugged when I mentioned. He was training a newbie, it was a Sunday evening, lots of mistakes on phone orders and forgetting items from others, but I actually was entertained with it. The trainer I presume manager was overwhelmed with calls and prepping to go, so that might say something others keep going for here for pizza. But this pizza was by far much better and a value than a chain pizza like Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Little Ceasers. read more
