I've been asked to bring penne vodka when visiting friends on several occasions. After checking out the plants and garden items outdoors, we decided to go inside to look at the produce and merchandise located in the shop. My husband loves cherries, and I thought we might purchase one of the two remaining pints that was all they had. Unfortunately I saw that several cherries were moldy on the top of both pints. I pointed it out to the lady working there, who said that she just sorted them that morning and didn't notice any problems. I then walked over to the tomatoes, a favorite of mine, and picked up several which was also moldy on the stems!! Obviously they are still trying to sell older fruits and vegetables and didn't have the turnover when fresh. The only thing I knew couldn't spoil was the flavored honey sticks, and I purchased three for a dollar. Quite a disappointment and we won't visit them again.
