This was the cutest sweetest place. My husband and I were just here for our anniversary last Saturday night and found the staff so sincere and kind. The restaurant was quaint and intimate , with a small buffet that easily fills you up. There were many options from a beef stew to a curry, a noodle dish with bacon, salad, and other options. They even explained the options to us. I truly wish we had more time in Lisbon because I would have definitely returned to try it again as the options differ nightly. If your in Lisbon, this is one of those must do places. A Portuguese buffet, where everything tastes like someone's grandma just made it. Impeccable service. Cozy, almost romantic atmosphere. And just €16 per person for all you can eat! The menu changes nightly so here were the stars for me: Creamed cod. Might not sound appetizing but this was insanely good. Not too fishy. Veggie lasagna - really great flavors and you sneak in some vegetables. All the sides: mashed potatoes were delicious, the rice is a staple, the couscous was perfect, the carrot soup made me say DAMN! The service was amazing. The two gentleman there ran an entire packed restaurant effortlessly. Helping customers with drinks, explaining the concept and each dish to every person that came in. We washed it down with a pitcher of white sangria (drinks and desserts are extra). We literally couldn't move. We walked back to the hotel instead of taking an Uber simply to walk some of it off. Dinner buffet with variety of Portuguese dishes. Still accustomed to "early dinners", so we arrived as they opened. Advice: arrive ~30 min after their listed opening hours. Here were some of the offerings: A soup, salad with various toppings (pickled items, dried fruits, etc), cod dish, a beef/mushroom stroganoff, chicken dish, rice, greens, potatoes, and a vegetarian offering. This was the best dinner we had during our week in Lisbon. The buffet offers many delicious options... one side is more small bites and starters (cheese, bread, olives, chorizo, salads, etc). The servers were all very friendly and hilarious as he stopped the diners from digging into the buffet just so I can take a photo of the food at its best when I requested! Wonderful dinner We had a really excellent buffet dinner in this rustic restaurant in Bairro Alto. We don't usually like buffets so we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. There were several fresh salads, vegetables and warm dishes to choose from. The food was tasty and the chef checked and topped up the food regularly. This place is a gem. I'm sad I didn't give it a try the first day I came across it online. I went there twice before leaving Lisbon. It's 14.50 euros per person for all you can eat (buffet style), dessert and drinks are not included. The white sangria is the best, they also give you a complimentary shot of ginja with a check. It's Portuguese sweet cherry liquor which is absolutely delicious. The food is different day to day and everything is so tasty. Just like mom's cooking. They do have "bacalhau' daily - it's a traditional Portuguese dish which is baked creamy cod and potatoes, the best version I've had in Lisbon so far. They have options for vegetarians too. The service is great. Sandra, Rodrigo and Bernardo took care of us and they all were amazing. Sweet guys, very attentive, all speak English. Sandra's got a great sense of humor as well. Rosa Da Rua is a nice restaurant in Bairro Alto. It has a buffet concept, so all-you-can-eat for €14,50. Go for the big sangría with it, it is lovely. The food was lovely, not premium quality but that cannot be expected from all-you-can-eat. I enjoyed the codfish and the mussels spaghetti. The only odd thing here was the lack of music. Elegant little hidden gem in Barrio Alto. This was my first meal in Lisbon and I couldn't be any happier. The buffet style was exceptional. They have many options from seafood to chili to couscous to white rice. The fresh salmon was absolutely delicious. I ate like 4 bowls of salad just to top it off with the salmon. They also offer a variety of cheeses and olives and oiled tomatoes. So good!! Good for one on one dates or for bigger group. The ambiance is very relaxed, elegant but casual. Celebrated our anniversary dinner at this restaurant in the Bairro Alto neighborhood. It was a buffet setup with authentic Portuguese food for about 15€ a person. All of it was fine, but they charged 8€ for the kiddo who is under 5 years of age, which didn't make sense to us and is unheard of. So I don't recommend this restaurant to families with young kids. The upside was that we got to sample a lot of Portuguese dishes which otherwise we wouldn't have ordered. The only thing I kept going back to was the grilled mackerel with sautéed onions, which was delicious. read more

Sandra, Ricardo and Thomas (great, great, great, great grandson of the man who bought the building after the terrible earthquake ions ago) are welcoming, warm, charming and really took the time to make us feel at home. Amazing food and service! Went here with a group of five and everyone agreed it surpassed expectations. When we heard it was a buffet we were expecting an okay ambiance and quantity over quality for the food, but this wasn't the case. The buffet had a squid dish, a cod bake, a cold chicken pasta, pork and beef with beans, chicken and mushrooms, rice and vegetables, and a large variety of appetizers and side dishes. The cod bake really stood out as a must but I'm sure they switch up the menu fairly often. The inside of the restaurant was really cozy and well decorated. Doesn't feel like somewhere you would get all you can eat. The dining room was pretty full but it didn't feel overcrowded. The service was one of the best we've received anywhere in Europe and the waiter was friendly and attentive despite the all you can eat. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars because for the price (17 euros after a drink) I felt like I had a better meal or two in Lisbon if you're considering taste alone. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place - definitely worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood and really hungry! read more

Was on a trip from The Canary Islands back to Berlin and made a stop in Lissabon to eat in this wonderful restaurant and it was great. Staff were excellent cool and funny guys and so courteous even when the place was full they were super relaxed and charming. Me and my girlfriend had a really great time eating and drinking there. The price for the all you can eat buffet was approximately 14,50ish € and every cent was worth it since they presented dishes ranging from meat to vegetarian to vegan. Making a reservation is definitely recommended since there many people who wanted in but had to wait.Honestly cant wait to fly back there and have another great buffet. Well a little bit disappointed I have to say. Even though it's quite cheap and the waiters are friendly, I can't say the food was very good. So okay, it's all you can eat buffet, but so what ? I mean, it's not bad, far from that, but it's also far from being good. And something else I can't not mention : people smoking inside, on the table next to ours. I don't know legislation (or even mentality) in Portugal about that, but no matter where you come from : it's pretty annoying having your neighbor's smoke in the face while you eat. At least, you ask. I put that on the guys that were smoking, but also on the restaurant that shouldn't allow that.
