We loved this place! We were so happy to find it. Great vegan buffet; all you can eat for friendly prices! Everything we tasted was good and savory. So much to choose from!! Fresh and delicious, and drinks were good too. We will (hopefully) be back!

Soup - had a curry flavor- yummy

Found this place on Yelp. As other reviewers have said - good food, great price, kind people. Perfect for a healthy lunch after a full morning of walking. Loved the soup they had the day we were there.

    Homenade soup.

Checked this place out because it had good reviews and I was not disappointed! I'm vegetarian but the person with me was not and both of us thought it was one of the best places we ate at in Portugal. It's not a huge buffet but there are plenty of options and I believe most or all are homemade. We loaded our plates with a lot if unfamiliar food and enjoyed almost everything we tried. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

This place offers a great deal on a healthy meal! I didn't really know what to expect. I'm not a vegan but I love eating healthy and eating vegan food. I was nearby and searching Yelp for a good place to eat. They open at 7:00pm for dinner. There is a large salad bar selection with lettuce, beets, carrots, onions, chickpeas, mushrooms etc. All very fresh. The hot selections are a variety of vegan dishes that change daily. There were a few rices, and 5 or 6 other hot dishes. The day I was there they had a veggie lasagna, cauliflower and broccoli in a coconut sauce, a bean dish, and a few other tasty things. It was Indian influenced flavors but nothing was spicy. The buffet is 9,50 at dinner. Highly recommend!

Went there for a lunch. All-you-can eat? All vegan? 8.50€ per person??? This was one of the best ideas I ever had! Amazing food! Quite plently too! Fresh salads, veggies, all that you could expect, and more! Really good place for vegan explorers, and curious people! Some amazing ideas like spinach bites too! Totally recommending it:)

They always have dishes with beans and/or lentils plus massive greens and Indian-style warm dishes.

Vegan, copious, affordable, with divine desserts.... need I say more? If you're hungry and veggie, this is your go-to in Lisbon. They have a wide area of fresh veggies for salad making (arugula, chick peas, romaine, beets, carrots, etc.), and several warm Indian-inspired dishes. Definitely try their veggie "meat balls" -- they're so chewy and delicious. Plus you can order a freshly squeezed veggie juice to accompany your meal. If possible save room for dessert -- they have these mile high creamy whipped cakes that taste like tiramisus in different flavors. AMAZING. Try the the coconut one and the passion fruit.

When we couldn't get the table at the nearby restaurant "Carmo" on Friday night at 10pm, we decided to take a chance and try this vegetarian restaurant. As carnivores, at first we were both skeptical of the vegetarian places like this but we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious buffet. It was not only a much needed healthy meal after weeks of meat and carb filled meals in Italy, but also the price was excellent. The all you can eat buffet was only €9.50. If you wanna eat healthy without sacrificing taste, this is a great option.

You should absolutely go for it! Vegan or not but mostly if you are vegan 'cause you wont have to wonder it is vegan or not? junk food? questionable dressing? Forget it! Everything is fresh and constantly refilled as customers empty bowl and plates. They have cold dishes, multiple salads, a few hot dishes and not bathing in greasy dressing, yay ! There is also a soup available. Staff is super friendly It's an affordable buffet !! Atmosphere basic, laid back half touristy/half locals What else do you want ? If I lived in Lisbon, I would definitely be a regular eater!

Food: 5/5 Honestly, everything was amazing. I wish American vegan food tasted this good (less salty & sweet). We started with their verison of onigiri and a fig salad. I really loved the soft and crunchy texture of the onigiri with a juicy marinated watermelon center. For entree, we got the couscous with Okra dish. If you don't like Okra this dish is not for you. But, it was light and flavorful (slightly sour). For dessert, we got a sampler since we could not decide. Clearly, my favorite was the chocolate lava cake but they were all so tasty! My partner got some green vine and I got green tea. You get a whole pot of tea - great value!! Service & Ambiance: 5/5 The decor was so cozy inside and the staff were amazing! I know little to know Portuguese but, they were super nice! All in all, I would definitely go back and all for ~51€!

This restaurant is beautiful and well thought out. I love the entrance and the journey to the main dining area. I love the interior design. I love the open-concept kitchen that grants the ability to watch the chefs work their magic. I love the dishware and the presentation of the food. Ultimately, I love how intentional the creators were with the development and execution of Ao 26. I ordered the Francesinha and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Upon reading the description, I was hesitant because it did not sound like something that I'd enjoy, but I was desperate to try a dish native to Portugal. It was delicious - so so delicious. I'm glad that they were able to veganize the native dish and execute it so well. For dessert, I ordered the Peanut & Chocolat Pie. I enjoyed it but I wouldn't order it again because it was slightly too rich for me, however, if you like dark chocolate, that is the dessert for you. I loved my experience here. This would be a great place for a date or night out with friends. The food is great and the vibe is better. Thank you Ao 26.

I'm afraid that was the most interesting part of the experience. Service was okay, but definitely not particularly friendly. We asked the server which was a good, traditional (albeit vegan version) Portuguese dish. She recommended the Supreme Bifana sandwich. So I ordered that. It came with sweet potato fries. I forget exactly what was in the sandwich, but it was pretty bland. There was a sauce that came with the dish and that was tasty. But the sandwich itself was meh at best. The fries were also disappointing. They were soggy and very oily. Dipping them in the sauce made them somewhat edible. So meh food and meh service equals a meh review.

I was intrigued by the presence of a vegan restaurant in Lisbon, but it seems like vegan and vegetarian restaurants are plentiful here. The menu is just as tiny as the restaurant. There are 2 main dishes and a few desserts and starters. I ordered the daily dish, which was called Brunch. It included vegan cheese on toast, vegan sausages, a slice of sun-dried tomato, roasted beets on top of potatoes, and oats with strawberries and bananas. Elements of the dish were both a hit and a miss. As a non-vegan, the individual components were very good attempts at replicating the real thing. First, the cheese had the right texture. It had a very light and subtle flavor that I enjoyed. The vegan sausages were too dry on the inside. The beets and potatoes were particularly good, but I'm a bit biased as I enjoy beets in general. The oats in soy milk was tasty. There was a subtle sweetness to it. Overall, the food was good and a good value for €13.

We got the vegetable curry twice, as well as a quinoa salad, a tofu scramble, a carob cake, and some juice. Out of all of these, the quinoa salad was my favorite. But even the warm curry was delicious on a hot day! The carob cake was a bit dry and crumbly tasting, though -- I think I can bake a better one myself. There was quite a rush for the cheesecake, so I wonder if that would have been better? Sadly they were sold out once we wanted dessert. Service was a bit slow and they don't open before noon, but that's fine when you are on vacation :) As others have mentioned, the space is small, so going here with a large group is probably not advisable. I liked that their food menu was hand-written. It sounds like they just make up the menu as they go, and include whatever dishes they can make with the produce they have available that day. Overall, I very much enjoyed eating here -- it was nice to just get some good old vegetables among all the meat offerings of Portugal!
