We had a fantastic experience at Green Affair. It was my second time coming here, once for lunch and now once for dinner. For lunch I had had carrot ginger soup and seasoned fries. For dinner we had spring rolls, gyoza, tapas, salad, cauliflower wings, mushroom tacos and a pitcher of green sangria. Drinks were strong, service was fast and friendly, the vibe was great with outdoor seating. Good place to have a casual dinner out.

Eating here was the perfect end to my trip to Lisbon. What a special restaurant, I wish I could duplicate it back home! I brought my carnivorous partner here and even he loved it. Every dish was made with so much attention to flavor, the drinks were spectacular, the ambiance was unmatched, and our waitress was so kind. We ordered about seven dishes and each one was more delicious then the next. I'm vegetarian but a very picky vegetarian, they were able to adjust my order according to my taste. There was no wait, we sat outdoors in their perfect patio and wholly enjoyed the experience.

I went to two different locations and the food came out very fast and very fresh!!! Everything was so full of flavor. I think the Tofu "Salmon" was my favorite out of everything. I really like how the restaurant was set up. Very romantic date night type of vibe.

Unique vegan dishes with flair! Food*** We ordered the tofu topped with seaweed atop mashed potatoes--on the menu this is the Boneless Lagierio. The tofu was flavorful and the mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious! We also had the Katsu Curry, which stated it was spicy but it wasn't at all. There were only two small pieces of tofu in it, which was very disappointing. The Curry was good but I would recommend they add more tofu to it. Lastly--we ordered Portugal's own green wine, but it tasted much like America's white wine! Not bad but not great in our opinion. Atmosphere**** Cute, cozy and quiet atmosphere with nice lighting and plenty of seating. Service*** Make sure you make a reservation although this isn't very clear because we went one day and we were told reservations needed and that they were full. Then we came back the next day without a reservation since the reservations were not working on their site and we were given a table. It's not clear how this system works. At the restaurant service was great, no complaints. Price$$ Entrees under $15usd

Great food, excellent service, nice atmosphere a wonderful place for a vegetarian to dine in Lisboa.

    Burger & Fries

The lemonade was tart. Just Lemon and water. Needed sugar. They charged .50 for ketchup and I had to request for it. They did not have any hot sauce .. Fries were bit oily. The chick pea quinoa burger patty was greasy as well and tasteless. Exterior was cooked but interior was not. The service was good. Young passionate happy employees.. Ambiance was great. I wish I could give a better review on the burger ..

Happily, there seems to be a plethora of vegan places in Lisbon and Green Affair was our first stop when we arrived. Try the namesake "mocktail" and bruschetta starter, which was delicious and unique (no tomatoes for one!) - if this is signature Portuguese style we love it. Mushrooms and nutritional yeast gave it wonderful flavor. The Katsu curry main course featured amazing fried tofu that warranted the 2 thumbs up from my dining partner, and the "piece de resistance" of the meal - the fabulous chocolate cake at the end got the full high five! Definitely a winner. The staff was attentive and service was great - speaking English to my sorry and almost nonexistent Portuguese was much appreciated! Meals to fortify long walks exploring Lisbon are fantastic at Green Affair.

I am an omnivore but accompanied a vegan friend to dinner here. Service was prompt and kind and my risotto and white wine were very good.

Food: 5/5 Honestly, everything was amazing. I wish American vegan food tasted this good (less salty & sweet). We started with their verison of onigiri and a fig salad. I really loved the soft and crunchy texture of the onigiri with a juicy marinated watermelon center. For entree, we got the couscous with Okra dish. If you don't like Okra this dish is not for you. But, it was light and flavorful (slightly sour). For dessert, we got a sampler since we could not decide. Clearly, my favorite was the chocolate lava cake but they were all so tasty! My partner got some green vine and I got green tea. You get a whole pot of tea - great value!! Service & Ambiance: 5/5 The decor was so cozy inside and the staff were amazing! I know little to know Portuguese but, they were super nice! All in all, I would definitely go back and all for ~51€!

I wasn't feeling super hungry so I opted to do a takeout box (€8) of their buffet food. The selection here was fantastic - many lentil/soy based protein options, a salad bar, rice and bread - really the perfect plant based meal where everything was tasty. My average rating really comes from my experience doing takeout. Maybe it's my American mentality, but when they handed me the takeout tray, I made sure to fill it up with as much food as possible (while not overloading). When I went to pay, the owner(?) scolded me and said it was now impossible to close and that I did not do this properly. I apologized and shared my embarrassment with them, but honestly - it was NOT that bad. I wasn't happy that they made a scene where everyone started staring as I continuously apologized and felt stern judgement. Finally, another staff member took over and closed the box for me and I paid and left. After sharing the photos with friends, nearly everyone concluded that it was not overfilled and definitely me just making the most of my limited space. Besides that experience, I still really appreciate them being available and would come back to do the actual sit down buffet so I can avoid this awkwardness again.

Terra is a buffet style vegetarian place and it was really good! There was a lot of awesome dishes and the staff is super friendly, I really enjoyed chatting with them. There's a cute outdoor seating area with large trees that cover the patio. There's also definitely an almost Indian/eastern influence to some of their dishes, which was great because I love those types of flavors. Some of the dishes they had were couscous, some type of curry dish, and vegetarian pizza. If you're vegetarian, this is a great option! They also have really good desserts as well.

One of my biggest concerns about the trip was finding decent restaurants with vegetarian options and this was such a great option. We reserved on trip advisor for 7:30 and were seated promptly. The buffet was replenished (several times just because of us, so sorry to the other diners) frequently and the food was fresh, diverse, and delicious. As others have mentioned it felt a little pricey as compared to other places in Lisbon and the buffet feels a bit random (no specific theme to the food) but they were so accommodating and everyone in our group was satisfied. The desserts were also appreciated - I especially loved the tiramisu!

When you find Estrela Da Bica, it is on a side street right off of the steep street with the trolley that is famous. There was a small open door with a sign asking us to wait outside to be seated (so as not to crowd the restaurant). Make sure to follow these instructions, as my family and I watched some other unaware tourists walk straight in, grab a menu, and promptly get asked to go wait outside. After a minute or two, we were seated by one of the staff (possibly the owner?). The staff was all women, and they seemed very proud of their restaurant. The decor was quirky and very homey, with various mismatched tables and chairs. We were informed that the food is all meant to be shareable plates, and we started off by just getting some sourdough bread with dips. There were multiple different kinds of bread and the dips kept them interesting, one being a fish spread. One of the appetizers caught my eye instantly, the roasted pork belly, banana mash, and pico de gallo. I usually like banana flavors mixed with savory (I've tried weird combinations like a peanut butter banana hamburger before) so I knew I had to try this. The outside of the pork belly was perfectly crunchy while the inside was tender. As I expected (but I would guess most people wouldn't), the banana mash complimented the rich savory flavors of the pork belly. For the mains, we ordered the pink marlin tataki with pineapple chutney, potato and rosemary sourdough pizzeta, roasted Hokkaido with butternut mash, dried nuts sand, and house kimchi, the confit codfish cheeks with poached egg and crispy chips, and the pork cheek ravioli with mustard sauce and buckwheat popcorn. They were all intriguing flavor combinations that I would never have thought of in my life!! What stood out to me was the confit codfish cheeks with poached egg and the crispy potato chips. We had tried other codfish dishes around Lisboa and had noticed that it was the most common fish there. But this combination was luscious, with the soft egg coating the fish and the chips adding a nice crunch to every bite. It was like a fish carbonara in a way with the poached egg providing a sauce. This was the standout dish to me, representing what Lisboa is all about while not being afraid to take risks. All of the other dishes were interesting too, and each left me with new ideas of combinations that I would have never thought of. After the dinner was so impressive, we were enticed by the dessert. We got the chocolate mousse and basque cheesecake with guava jam. These were Like I said, the staff seemed proud of their establishment and rightfully so. Estrella da Bica may be a small, simple, establishment, but they are not afraid to push the boundaries of gastronomy. This was the kind of restaurant that flies under the radar, but I consider myself lucky to have stumbled upon it.

The atmosphere and food were so good that it didn't even matter. Our waiter was fabulous. This is a place you need to try.
