The coconut cloud drinks were good, though my daughters, who love coconut water, noticed that the coconut water that was used in the drinks tasted like a mass-market brand rather than the slightly premium one they prefer. For a restaurant with so many reviews and so many comments about queuing to get in, I would at the very least expect hot food. We ordered the Shakshuka and the zenith eggs with salmon. The food here left a lot to be desired. We waited a while for the food to come. The eggs were way over cooked but served cold on the zenith eggs. Hollandaise sauce was SOUR and CONGEALED. The smoked salmon were very fishy and the bread was not good. The Shakshuka was huge but everything was cold. Service is just ok. This place was so amazing for us. It has been a struggle to find good gluten free and dairy free options in Lisbon. Zenith marks their menu (gluten free, vegan, vegetarian) which made this so much easier. I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and the vegan/gluten free pancakes that were topped with peanut butter, berry compote, banana flambé, toasted almond and maple syrup. If you're reading this, save yourself and RUN! The worst brunch place in Lisbon, a complete trap for tourists!!! Everything we ordered tasted like they cheaped out on the ingredients - the Nutella was a cheap chocolate cream, and the avocado was avocado paste. Everything was super low quality. While we were ordering, the waitress kindly asked us if we wanted our dishes with spinach and avocado, which sounded optional, but it turned out to be an extra add-on. For 3 people, we ended up paying almost 10 euros!!! They were also walking around with a tray of pastel de natas, trying to "give" you one without mentioning it would be added to your bill. We were shocked when we received the bill. The brunch was the worst we've had in Lisbon, and the bill was one of the highest--JOKE!!! read more

We got there and there was a long wait outside but we only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table for two. It's a nice size restaurant with a lot of seating. We brunched here on our last day in Lisbon. Might be a short wait, depending on time of day, but it is absolutely worth it. A welcome and bustling atmosphere, beautiful design, beautiful people, fantastic food and drink, and super fast and cheerful service.. the only downside I can think of was the two restrooms made for a little bit of a wait. I had the shakshuka, as it's such a favorite of mine that I often make it at home, and it was delicious... my friend was very happy with her custom poached eggs and her husband was delighted with his savory pancake. Their Espresso Martini and Bloody Mary got high marks and my Aperol Spritz was wonderful. Take a little walk down Avenida da Liberdade nearby when you're done.. you never know what you might happen upon. When we visited there was a vintage car show and a street fair/flea market happening, plus there are luxury stores such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, Chanel, Gucci, Christian Louboutin and plenty of park benches to sit and people watch. "I miss NYC and a solid SOHO brunch" said no one ever in Lisbon. You may wonder how this fits into the Portugal food scape without insulting. I will tell you. While every waiter and waitress will speak English, and it will not be uncommon to see a table with their luggage beside them. This brunch spot is very Portuguese. Why? Well everything is done just a little better than you would expect. The carrots, in the beet hummus, have a freshness of just being pulled from the earth. The mushrooms taste as though they were foraged from a musty old forest. In true Portuguese hospitality you will instantly know you are not in NYC or any other region of Europe because you actually feel welcome. While you may have seen similar items on menus outside of Portugal Zenith is worth the trip to see how Lisbon does it... you will not be disappointed read more

My last Portugal meal was here, and to be quite honest, the only thing that was memorable was my vanilla coffee, and not because it was good. Before ordering, I specifically asked if they could make an iced vanilla coffee that was not make from vanilla extract (since I experienced this once before in Portugal). They told me yes and long story short, the vanilla coffee I got did not taste right. I asked to see the vanilla they used and it was vanilla extract. He then charged me for the drink and told me that it wasn't his problem that I didn't like the taste of it. He's right, but it was his problem that he told me it wasn't vanilla extract when it was! Can you come to the States please? Specifically in CA. We went here twice and it was amazing! This is such a California like place though, so maybe that's why I love it. All the food was fresh and the coffee was strong! I had the smoked salmon toast and it was delicious! I also had 2 almond milk lattes (don't judge! was super jet lagged) and they were divine. Bacon egg and cheese is a 10/10. Could use more egg. But so much flavor. Eggs Benedict is a 9/10 because the hollandaise is a little odd compared to what we're used to.
