My friends and I came here for a GNO and got to choose our own seating, so we picked the little lounge area with the sofa in the corner Our server let us try a few wines for free and we ended up ordering a bottle. We also ordered the fig, arugula, and prosciutto flatbread and it was so good. The cheese plate came with a Spanish chili oil and it was bomb. Our total came up to $133 for 3 people, which wasn't too bad. Our server was friendly and chill. The only issue was that we were never offered water, but everything else was great. I would definitely come back here

They have a happy hour everyday from 3:30-5:30 and we got the wine flights, $20 for (4) 3 oz glasses! Are you kidding me? That's a good deal if I've ever seen one. I forgot which ones I tried besides the Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Blanc de Blanc.. but I have to say, the Blanc de Blanc was my favorite. It was the fruitiest and least dry from what I recall, which is perfect for my taste buds :) Service was also so good! The owner was so sweet and eager to answer any questions we had about their wine selections. I'll definitely be back and will bring my friends with me!

I always said LA needed a speakeasy and I am so glad one opened up! The kicker? You need a reso so make sure you have one! We just happened to get lucky Check in at Cetrella and they will walk you back outside to an elevator where you need a code to access the elevator to the basement. Once the elevator doors open you walk down a long dark smoke filled corridor to the bar that awaits. Cool music playing BTW. Sat at the end of the bar instead of one of the many tables and was immediately handed a cocktail menu. Simple menu with carefully crafted cocktails that they do exceptionally well. - The Wolf noted as "milk punch" on the menu. The clarified refined version I am sure because the drink came with a light purplish hue instead of the milky concoction. Very well balanced and I can easily say one of the best milk punch cocktails I've ever had. - Smoked Old Fashioned. Again a very different technique than I am used to seeing. Instead of the entire cocktail being smoked, the glass was smoked before the spirits ever hit the glass. Again we'll balanced with a hint of orange essence. Bar food served if the kitchen is still open. And the service was good super attentative bar staff who carried a conversation with those close by. What a great addition to Los Altos and one I may bring my team back to after we dine at their restaurant Cetrella! So glad it popped up on my Yelp search because this place is definitely a hidden gem!!

There is plenty of parking nearby, both street and parking lots. Here's what our party of 3 had on a recent visit: Appetizer - duck potstickers with hoisin dipping sauce -- wonderful, I could have ordered 2 of these plates as an entree and been happy Mains - I had the pan-seared scallops with mashed peas, spinach, capers etc. Very good -- my only complaint is it only included 3 small scallops. For the price there should have been 4 or 5. Fried chicken with mashed potatoes, sautéed kale. This was delicious, we don't often order fried chicken but this was cooked just right. My sister had the goat cheese salad as her main, it was very good with little balls of fried goat cheese. Drinks: Good wine selection, I had my usual glass of Savee Sea Sauvignon Blanc. Dessert: We split an amazing dessert, the Sticky Toffee pudding Sundae which is caramel and vanilla gelato with a toffee sauce, whipped cream, pecans-- so good! next time I"m getting one for myself.

I knew it was on California Ave. This was an old haunt of mine back when The Edge dance club was the place to be in this part of Palo Alto. Over the years I had still visited the area for its restaurants and the old camera store Keeble & Shuchat (closed for many years). Stepping into the very dark bar lit by small candles on the table I was immediately reminded at how old I was. It would say it was intimate, but it was a bit too loud to be that. However, it did have an intimate vibe. This joint's specialty (I assumed) was a menu full of house drinks. Sadly, I did not recognize any of them. I went with "You Should Try It" and it was fine. I could not describe what it tasted like, other than it was a mixed drink. My buddy ordered a "Vesper" but it didn't seem like the one Daniel Craig ordered in "Casino Royale". We came by on a Wednesday night and enjoyed some delicious cocktails along with amazing service. They messed up on the first pair of drinks we ordered, but comped our second set of cocktails which they made ten times better. We really appreciated this. Adding to our lovely evening, the live music created just the right vibe.
