The atmosphere is good, the service is good, the food is tasteless. I'm not going back.

I surprisingly decided to get the foot long hotdog because the table next to us got it and it looked so good. It was amazing. The bun was toasted perfectly. The toppings were fresh and added good flavor. The house chips were good but a little to much seasoning for my liking. I would rate 8/10 My mom got the lobster cuban. Lobster and corn beef was an odd combo, in my opinion, but she liked it. She said the cheese, pickles and sauce blended everything together to be surprisingly good. The lobster meat was also real, not imitation. She said she wishes it was thicker though. Her overall rating of the dish was 7/10. I'm excited to come back to try their oysters, which we skipped this time :)

I love the variation of lobster and crab sandwiches, but my favorite has got to be the Lobster cuban. The lobster is succulent and they don't skimp out on the portions or try to cram in crawfish as a filler, which I can appreciate. The oysters depending on the day can also be pretty good. The drinks here have been phenomenal, the quality you get could be confused with a full blown cocktail bar. Higgins hawaiian shirt was a favorite of mine, and I really wish they would bring back drunk at the kids table. My wife swears by their lobster roll, so we have been and will continue to return here for what i figure will be an eternity.

Merchant Oyster Company - The tables stay dirty due to the porous wood. Gross seeing previous diners crumbs.

Merchant Oyster Company - Water isn't fresh. It's on the table when you are seated. Not a fan.

It was only 1/3 filled at 1 PM so, i didn't understand why they were not prepared for a party with a reservation. We were taken to a table directly underneath a blower. My husband had coffee. I had hot water with lemon. Within moments, everything was cold because the blower was forceful and uncomfortable, so much so that I had to keep my wrap on the entire meal and my husband had to keep his neck scarf on. We asked our waitress if the air could be turned down. She replied it was part of the central air (as though we didn't know), and it could not be lowered. We knew that was false. We were uncomfortable the entire meal. We had been offered a booth prior to the table option but it was not conducive as we had a baby and toddler and would have been cramped. We felt as though we were being punished for not accepting the first option. At any rate, the food was average. It was not memorable or outstanding in any way. Our server was sarcastic and made a reference to my husband that was uncomplimentary. Our party consisted of two pastors who had just finished a Sunday assignment. One had driven about 100 miles. We just wanted a relaxing environment and a good seafood meal. We got neither.

The service is great, and the food comes out in less than 10-15 minutes Everything we got was delicious the mango and passion fruit smoothies were so refreshing. The scallion pancakes were so good. I do like soup noodles but it kinda just tasted regular and homey to me. I don't think there was much meat or veggies in it at all though. - steamed mini soup dumplings There were pretty good too (considering we are in Pittsburgh tbh). It's also at a decent price, sometimes I've seen soup dumplings for more than $15 which is ridiculous. It had some good flavor, and wasn't easy to rip the skin. I think the skin thickness was appropriate, not too thin or too thick. Glad to have some nostalgic and satisfying food around. It came hot but I wish we had the cover so we could delay the food from getting cold too quickly. - fish fillet w/ basil and garlic in stone hot pot I personally think this was the best dish. It was well seasoned and came sizzling hot with a side of rice. It has a tasty sauce that combined with the rice is amazing. Free street parking and plenty of tables inside. I'd get a reservation if you're bringing a lot of people like more than 6.
