Roosters is a pretty solid choice for wings and such. Know that it gets pretty crowded and kind of loud during sporting events. I don't think it particularly matters which kind, they show a lot! The service is quick and the portion sizes are generous. I like the Sweet Thai Chili wings, though I think I'll switch to boneless! I also really like the popcorn shrimp appetizer. They toss the little shrimps in your preferred wing sauce, so garlic parm or Thai chili tossed shrimp? Yes please. They also do pretty good salads, with a lot of add ons and modification options. I also tend to enjoy the pizza, again, very modifiable, and not huge, and I love that your group doesn't have to decide between wings and pizza. I find the prices here reasonable, too.

Our servers are always super nice! The food is always fresh and it tastes amazing every time! Great food for great price and quality!

Today, Tony and I stopped at Roosters in Henderson, right outside north of Columbus, OH. The sun was trying to come out and the temperature rose to 55 degrees. We were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was not that busy. We were greeted & seated immediately. We had decided to try something different ,so we choose to share the Big Bob Burger and Hot Buffalo Chicken Mac n'cheese...I had a soda and Tony a couple draft Budweisers. Our waitress Alex was very nice and attentive. We were very happy with our food and definitely will order that Mac n'cheese again!!!!

THE BEST FRIED FOOD OF YOUR LIFE.....

Tuesday 4:00pm May 31, 2022 The entire kitchen staff was outside at a meeting that was ongoing before my GF and I sat down to eat. They didn't finish until our meal was over. To the mystery cook/chef in the kitchen... THANK YOU I used to work at Roosters in Cincinnati back in 2007-2008. I have never in my life gotten such perfectly cooked fried food from Roosters before. It's always expected typical bar food. They absolutely crushed it today... I can actually take my fried pickles and fried fingers home and reheat it without worrying about soggy or gross left overs. Well done, give that cook/chef a BIG raise. They held it down heavy while the kitchen had a meeting outside.

Party of 6... we sat ourselves... ordered several wing flavors, drinks and fries. Alexis, our server was great-- super attentive and super friendly. Wings were good and so were the fries! I'm out of town and this was the 2nd time I've visited .... Both times it was good.

Our server Kelcie, who was 5* by the way, helped us in navigating all the intricacies to the ingredients. Lots of nuance to the menu. Our choices: lamb appetizer, black cod, sirloin, and chocolate mousse; each were tasty, presented well, and excellent dishes. The potato cake on the steak was very different and well done. Our Old Fashion had a nice taste. The place is very small and reservations are a must. The GM Michael came by and chatted us up...to thank us for coming, and glad they were able to accommodate our food needs. Nice touch. Excellent bathrooms. Thanks for that. Be prepared to spend $100 per person. Welcome to the Columbus culinary scene.

We were nervous at first because no one we talked to knew what Gene's was BUT we are SO SO SO glad we went! From the moment you step onto their property it was such an incredible experience. Who knew such a cute and quaint little restaurant could pack so much flavor and art into their food and such a personalized dining experience. While we had a reservation at 8:45, we decided to eat in at the bar after having the most incredible espresso martini of our lives and talking to John. My sister and I opted to share multiple courses - each of which was better than the last. It was an amazing experience and we were lucky enough to compliment and thank the executive chef in person. We left full and satisfied but not stuffed which is exactly what we were looking for! HIGHLY recommend Gene's if you're looking for an elevated dining experience and great service while in Dublin, Ohio!

There is literally no where to stand while you wait for your table...and wait we did. We were shown to our table at 6:10. The hostess told us they had a party of 30 and party of 40, so we tried to be understanding but also-they accepted the reservations-so kind of on them. Our server had an attitude from the moment she approached our table. She was waiting on one of the parties, but still... We were sitting in the back room and it was LOUD. Like couldn't hear other people at our own table loud. We had an older person in our party and when we asked our server to come to the other side of the table so he could hear her, she didn't-so she ended up misunderstanding and bringing him the wrong drink. There was a guy who we *think* may have been a manager hanging around, but he never did a table touch, so hard to tell. We had questions because gluten free food is offered but not marked on the menu or online, it said ask your server. She was annoyed but we have allergies so...I will say they have really good gluten free options; however when we reconfirmed that she had gotten the gluten free bun she was annoyed again. The only reason I gave 2 stars (the one redeeming quality) was the food. It was all excellent and cooked perfectly. The server didn't come back to check how things tasted-but someone in our party flagged her down to get lemon wedges for her seafood pasta. The waitress literally rolled her eyes, grabbed lemons wedges from the bar and brought them in a cup that she slammed down and walked away without a word. We ordered dessert because we were there to celebrate a birthday. Before dessert came, our server cashed us all out. This is what put me over the edge: WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING she slammed down a reserved sign. When we started standing up, she picked it up. Most restaurants allow for 90 minutes for reservations to turn a table. We were only at the table for 70, so we totally weren't lingering. I might give this place another try because the food was so good, but because of this experience, I'd definitely think twice.

The inside is what you would expect from your typical bar, dark moody atmosphere with several tv screens, billiard games, etc. We tried an order of mozzarella sticks, the fried catfish snack which came with a side of fries and Texas toast, added a side of loaded grits, and finally one of their most popular dishes, the chicken & shrimp gumbo. Everything tasted very good. The grits had strips of crisped collard greens which I thought were very unique and had a nice taste. Their chicken & shrimp gumbo I also enjoyed, but it was different than the traditional style. A little too heavy on the chicken and lighter on the roux, which was very thick, but I still loved the meal and would definitely return to try more!

I don't remember what I ordered on a previous visit, but I regretted not getting something cajun, as I am a huge fan and it is a lot of the menu. This time I did get the chicken and shrimp gumbo and it was OK, but kind of bland. The portions are reasonable. Next time I would probably get a burger or something more grill specific and probably have a better meal.

If you've ever thought, "Man, I miss the days when dishes had names and not just 'deconstructed concepts,'" this place is your new home base. Appetizer - Coquille St. James Sea scallops, sauce, mashed potatoes... basically a fancy seafood shepherd's pie that your nostalgic inner child will absolutely high-five you for ordering. Rich, creamy, comforting -- it's like a culinary hug from a decade with better music. Waldorf Salad Phenomenal. Flavorful. The kind of salad that reminds you why this dish used to be the Beyoncé of dinner parties. Fresh Catch - Haddock No picture, but you can tell this fish was fresh. Like, "probably had weekend plans before it met the kitchen" fresh. Decor Dated. Dark. And somehow awesome. Imagine the set of a 70s maritime movie, but everyone's actually having a good time. Atmosphere They open at 4 PM and there's a line -- because apparently everyone else also loves time travel. I was probably one of the youngest people there, which is a strange but empowering feeling. Like being the rookie on a team of seasoned pros. The staff? Super friendly. Pro tip: the bar fills up FAST. Olympic speed. If you want a bar seat, you need reflexes. Also heard the dining room runs warm -- so if you run hot, maybe bring a tiny fan or pretend you're on a tropical cruise. Final Verdict: Windward Passage is a retro gem with hearty food, friendly vibes, and the kind of throwback charm that makes you grin. I'm absolutely putting this into rotation with friends for bar hangs, drinks, and really good food.
