I came around 7:45pm on a Wednesday night and thank goodness they were still open. The holidays are coming up and I had a company dinner the next day. My caterpillars needed some serious trimming. I walked right in and onto chair #3. For not getting threaded in a long time it was pretty painless. Ok, maybe not completely painless but it wasn't as bad as it usually feels. I didn't have cash on me and I wasn't able to put any tip on my card. I apologized and even offered for her to charge my card the tip but she said it was ok. But I decided to give threading a try, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience! Sara left my eyebrows nicely shaped and clean. She was also a very pleasant person to speak with. I've been getting my eyebrows waxed for years, but recently I can't find anyone who gets a good shape, I find a good place and then the second time I go they mess up my arch and make them to thin!!! So I finally just let them grow out really bad and get them waxed. I walked in the door on a Friday and was sat right away, the process was soooo quick and personally the pain was less than waxing to me. I've been a regular here for a while because I used to work at the Cold Stone in this same plaza, and it was convenient for me to get my eyebrows done after working a shift. This has continued to be my go-to eyebrow place because: -it's clean, it's clean, it's clean -never crowded -prices aren't bad for the work quality -you can opt for some soothing gel after -workers always take their time -you'll be in and out within minutes I regularly get my brows done by Susma who works at chair #5. Awesome lady! She's super sweet, asks me how my day is going before getting started, and most importantly she is very diligent in her work. She takes the time to shape my brows perfectly and clean up the surrounding areas as well. In addition to doing such a great job, she's also really gentle. I have very sensitive fair skin, and so looking like a tomato after getting threaded is not unusual for me. Each time Susma works on my brows and upper lip, very rarely do I turn red. I also love how all the artists here even trim my brows after, as I have been to other places that don't take the time to do this. This place needs a lesson in Sanitary during Covaid 19. 1st the lady did not wash her hands before touching my daughter eyebrows to be threaded and died. They do not use gloves. She put Vaseline or something on her bare skin wrist and continued to use a q-tip to dab whatever was on her wrist onto my daughters eyebrows. DISGUSTING AND UNSANITARY. I will never come back here. How do I know she didn't use her wrist to wipe her nose or sneeze onto her hand/wrist. read more

I love this location because it helps when I am running errands and I can quickly stop in here. The staff is friendly, quick, and give great shape to my eyebrows without making it super thin. Yes, I was a bit skeptical of going to Carson to get waxed, but looking at the great reviews, I got the courage to go. As you may have read about my last issues with facial hair, this time it was my body hair. Once my face was all clean, now my body resembled that of a wild animal. I was actually going out covered from neck to toe. Tuttle neck in the middle of summer is not fun at all. I had hair throughout my body: neck, arms, pits, knuckles, legs, toes, almost to the bottom of my feet. If I didn't enjoy walking bare foot, I would have a few lbs of hair at the bottom of my feet. Luckly, the hot cement had burned those hairs. Stores started looking at me with suspicion as who wears a turtle neck in the middle of summer? So armed with bravery, I drove myself to Roop Threading Salon. I was warmly welcomed and Pam went to work. This woman meant business and started waxing as if she was enjoying it. Since my hair had grown thick and coarse, it was very painful and some sections of my skin actually bled, but it was expected. The room was airy and clean and Pam constantly asked it was okay as I was lying with agonizing pain and my body trying to run away. At the end, I felt the smoothness that I hadn't felt in a while. What a relief to go back to my human features and let go of the hairy gorilla wearing a turtle neck. Pam did a great job and she only missed a few spots. Two thumbs up! Or should I say two eyebrows up? I was in desperate need to get my eyebrows done before my vacation, and the salon I normally go to could not accommodate me. My niece recommended Roop as an alternative. I was super nervous to try a new place, especially with the thought of living through a bad brow job while on vacation. Om did an amazing job! My brows were on point. I came back again before another last minute vacay, and decided to try their waxing. This time Pam took care of me. My brows came out just as amazing as the first time with Om. Pam also did my wax. The Brazilian was quick and with minimal pain and the full arms were fast and painless. Today I walked in on a empty salon. I wanted to get my underarms waxed , so the lady one chair #5 assisted me. She took me into the room and didn't even bother to blow on the hot wax ... she just put it on my underarm mind you it's really hot. She did everything in such a rush like there was other people to take care of. She tried to tell me that she was done but there was still a lot of hair left and was getting mad because I told her.... so as I was looking at her taking my hairs out she decided to just push my face without saying can you please look the other way!!! I'm not sure if it's because of the holidays but they removed the artist request on the sign in sheet. I always go with #2, but this time I had to go with #3. She completely lost the shape of my eyebrow. I have naturally long lashes and she sped through the process that I felt my eyelashes getting pulled out. When she was done and put the aloe, it went in my eye. I walked out with thin eyebrows with no shape and an irritated eye. I couldn't even ask to fix my eyebrows because I was afraid she would make them even thinner. I don't fill my eyebrows in or wear makeup on a daily basis, so my eyebrows are really important to me. I love this place for their Brazilian Waxes! They're a little pricey for using honey wax but they wipe the slate clean and do it in a very efficient amount of time. The facility itself is very clean and open.. Not a lot of clutter or narrow spaces. I've only had 2 women do it so they must rotate through out the day but both women are very nice and welcoming. I love getting my eyebrows done here. They're nice. There is never a wait and it's super clean. But then, I got my legs waxed. Not happy at all!!! This place is seriously a little hidden gem in Carson! I used to go all the way to Torrance or Irvine just to get my eyebrows, lips, & chin threaded. But one day, I gave this place a try & have been coming here since! There is never anyone there (at least when I go), thus, they take their time to make sure they have removed every single unwanted hair! Due to over-threading at my old spot in Irvine, my eyebrows became sharp arches, making me look angry all the time UGH! I seriously thought that I could never get them back to soft arches they used to be until I came here. They fixed them just right, trimming, & everything! And that aloe vera massage at the end, YASSS! I also always get lips & chin done, & they have been doing a great job since the upper lips is a very sensitive part of my face. I can't recommend anyone in particular because I've had 3 different women take care of me, but every single experience has been quick, painless, & great!
