I really wanted to love this place as it is conveniently located near me. My neighbor also had been wanting to go here too. I noticed the ladies taking their time and massaging their clients brow area and temples. They all seemed to get great service. My visit was anything but. The woman who provided a service was quickly annoyed by my eyebrows being fully grown (they're not that thick nor are they long.) She said a few unkind words and left to to the back to get wax. She wasxed my brows, trimmed a bit and threaded. My face was throbbing and began to develop welts from the wax. While she was waxing I felt and heard ripping of hair from my scalp. I let her know that it was hurting and that my brows were itching badly and burned a bit. She sighed and wiped them with aloe. Once I got home I found four clumps of wax on my head that she left. And broken bleeding skin near the end of my brow. Needless to say I will not be returning and encouraged my neighbor to go elsewhere. What's even crappies is one eyebrow was much higher and rounded out than the other arched brow. Truly disappointing. read more

She always left my eyebrows looking very clean and nicely shaped. She takes her time and does not rush to do your brows even when she has customers waiting for her. Do not go to chair #4 ! I went in asking for a clean up, and she literally left my eyebrows so far apart and thin. I usually am pretty open to going to any chair because I just ask for a clean up but she just did what she wanted and when she showed me and I told her why did she leave my eye brows so far apart she said oh sorry I messed up the first one there nothing i can do now. Another worker tried to fix it with Tint but there was nothing to do. I had a Groupon was for Brazilian wax for 5 visits at the West Hempstead location. I had 2 different ladies service me the 1st & 2nd visits. Each was a bit painful, as usual, but I sucked it up because the price was so good. Just had my 3rd visit a week ago, had the same lady as 2nd visit. She totally ripped me up the 3rd time! I didn't realize how bad it was until I got home and saw my pantyliner was bloody!! Never had that happen in 10yrs of waxing. It was so rough that my skin is still healing a week later. Someone else commented on the lack of cleanliness of this place, and that they re-use the wax. Both true. Even at a discount, its not worth it. I hope I don't get an infection. I used to love coming here. It was the only place I would get my brows done for years. But after Om (#3 I believe) left it really went bad. Gave another person a chance (#2 I think) and she really messed up my eyebrows. My brows used to be full and long and wonderful but after she finished, they were significantly shorter and in some areas splotchy. I felt her take off an entire bottom layer from my left brow as well as cut the inner parts of my eyebrows as well as the ends and I immediately knew I wouldn't be back. From the image below, you can tell the areas which she cut as well as the parts she shouldn't have threaded off based on the difference in color from my brow skin to the surrounding skin. She didn't even clean the ends, she merely cut them. After I looked at them when she was done, I decided to just leave as quickly as possible rather than have her attempt to fix my brows. Also, I definitely told her exactly what I wanted before she started "Keep my brow shape, keep them long, and keep them thick please". None of which she actually did. I don't fill in my brows at all, so the fact that my brows are terrible now, disappointed is an understatement. My birthday is next week and given the damage it will probably take another month or two for my brows to go back to what they originally looked like (hopefully). read more

Went for the first time 3 weeks ago and I think I found my place. Even though it's kind of away from my house and I DO NOTTTT MIND. I did a walk-in around 11am? On a weekday and it wasn't busy. First things first Roop Threading Salon advertises Brazilian waxes for $35. And it was my first time getting a wax with them. At the end they told me my total was $35 even though I had their $5 off coupon. So instead of tipping the waxer $10 which was what she was going to get she got $5. During the actual wax experience she made me hold my own skin tight. The waxer kept blowing on the wax cuz it was really hot and even burned a piece of my skin. At the end of the wax my skin looked irritated and red. Ive never had such a bad wax experience.Overall not a professional place and will not be returning . Thankfully, they accept walk-ins and we're able to accommodate me before I can even finish telling the person at reception what services I needed. I had my eyebrows, upper lip, and chin threaded. She did it painlessly, cleanly, and quickly. The establishment is clean. Parking is abundant. The staff is friendly and courteous. Their price point is reasonable. I usually have my go-to threading spot but I saw this place and thought I'd give it a try, especially since I was short on time and in between eyebrow threadings. I came to get my upper lip threaded which is $5. Not too bad. I get into the seat and the woman starts threading. First complaint, homegirl was leaning on me and expected me to turn my head too much. The only part I should be feeling is the thread, not your body. A professional knows to take care of one side first then walk your happy ass to the other side and finish the other side. Once she WAS on the other side she leaned on me again. Not to mention the thread was cheap and kept snapping. I understand one or two snaps, but this was maybe 4-5. She applied too much aloe Vera on my lip with her hands instead of applying with a cotton piece. Then she proceeded to walk to the register without even offering me a tissue to wipe the left over aloe or hair. So disappointed, Sloppy presentation and didn't seam to care I was a new customer. There were 3 other women working there so I cant put them under the same umbrella, but this woman seemed older (not old) and wore glasses. read more

Been going here ever since it opened and always love each visit! There are so many threading places to choose from and everyone has their reasons. Well here are mine: parking is ample, the place is so close to my house, my regular lady is always there and I know her off days, and the service for what you pay for is just great! I ask for a clean up of my eyebrows and they know exactly what to do. When you arrive, first sign in and write down what service you want and they help you right away. The longest I have waited on a busy day was no more than 10 minutes. Eyebrows are $8 and if you also want upper lip done it's $14. I also got the Brazillian Wax. I always have Tiva help me and let me tell you she is such a sweetheart. She really believes in cleaning you up, and I can tell she works hard for customer satisfaction. I have never had this wax done before so I can't really compare it to other places, but my experience here is so great I don't want to find another place. Again, I always just walk in and I never have to wait very long. Fyi I always ask them to charge a little more to my card because you can't write down the tip amount after the transaction. This was my go to since they had opened and I worked just doors away. Well after this past Thursday November 7... NEVER AGAIN! I used to go to #3 and she was great! She left so I gave #5 a shot and she proved to be just as good too, but she has been on an indefinite vacation for a long time now. The person working that chair was ok until she trimmed my inner eyebrow, so on this last trip I went with #4. She was slower than molasses and still didn't do a good job! The only thing she listened to was me telling not to trim my inner eyebrow. I will be going back to Zibas even it is a bit of a drive or I will go back to Rubinas in Harbor City. It was my own fault this last time for going even though I was already feeling iffy after what had happened last time. If you go like I said do no go to #4. The only person left from the original staff is #2 so she would be your best bet if you go. read more

Om is the best! She makes sure you're satisfied with your brows and leaves it the way you want. I'm usually not picky with the artists when there's a long wait but some really need more practice. You ask for just a clean up and they do them completely thin and ruin the shape of your brows. My eyebrows are naturally thin so usually can't put much shape in them and a clean up is usually done at other places but anytime I go to this place they always seem to put a little arch in my eyebrows without making them look thinner.
