DONT GO HERE or use the girl Rita (the mom?). Im so surprised there's such good reviews here. I have very thick everybrows and I said to clean up. I said specifically I like my thick eyebrows. I knew it when she was threading my eyebrows she was going way too crazy. She's super rough too. It's the most painful threading I've ever had and I thread them a lot! I got a cut on my lip from the threading. She made them so much thinner than it needed to be. If you look at the photo she pulled too much hair, but if I tried to even them out they would be even more thin. When I said they're so thin she's like "I created an arch" I was like "ummmm, did I ask you to give me an arch? No I asked for my natural shape" I don't know about everyone else but I hate forced eyebrow shapes. I told her I hated them she has the audacity to charge me still. It's going to take months to regrow them. Never had I have such regret but also confusion why there's so many good reviews. read more

Warning: Do not see anyone besides Mona... my friend is very particular and referred me to her and she has done a great job before. I walked in with the intention of seeing herI am pretty shy so I never say no, I would prefer to wait for a different threader. Next time I will make an appointment with Mona instead of walk in of course.... Because mistakes have been made. They are extremely kind, but I was actually having tears well-up the entire time. I have had some bad threading experiences but my pain tolerance is pretty high and I've never received this many points of broken skin. At first glance I liked my eyebrows at the end, but later I saw just how many cuts on my face which is pretty unacceptable. Maybe one would be bearable, but the skin by left eye is completely cut up and painful one day after. My right eye also has a few cuts. Updated a few days later: more small abrasions appeared it looks like I got beat up lmao and my shit looks uneven so.. ah read more

Best place to get your threading done in the south bay. I love the job that Mona did on my eyebrows. The salon was clean and smelled great. You know that some of these places smell a little but this one was amazing. She really took her time and got every little hair. This studio is right next to the MAC store. You can park by the Burlington and Mall security entrance and run right in. I used the yelp check in offer and she was so sweet about that too. Even got a nice little massage at the end. This little place is tucked into the corner of the plaza so you really might miss it if you blink, but it's worth the find. It's clean and cozy and in my experience, super efficient. I was in and out within 10 minutes, but if you have to wait there's plenty of space with lots of seating! It's a small place so it has a really warm and inviting vibe to it which I really prefer over a larger salon with no character. Eyebrows are $9 and they turn out great! I wish I could remember the threader's name, but she's a master of her craft! She was quick and my brows turned out exactly how I wanted them. It was my first time to get an eyebrow threading in three years. My medical condition inhibits a healthy hair growth. When I spoke with the old lady, I specifically asked for my brows to be cleaned, with a soft natural arch, if possible, because it is not thick as it is. My heart sank after seeing the results. The old lady just went at it without regard to my request. She said she didn't take out much. My daughter thought that there was a lot of "white areas" which means the lady went overboard. As a new client I was a little hesitant especially since the location wasn't on the modern side of the shopping plaza. However sometimes I find that the best places are the ones that you least expect. So don't be fooled by the dilapidated 80s appeal of this side of the Del Amo Mall especially since it'll be updated soon. This brow spot was pristine in nature and the customer service was on point. My brows were in dire need of proper shaping after I had allowed them to grow out. Within minutes I went from unibrow mayhem to perfection from brow to toe. I really enjoyed my experience. The prices are crazy low and the quality is beyond what you'd expect. When I'm in the area, I'd definitely come here for proper brow grooming. read more

SUPER PLEASED with my experience and the finished product. The pain was the normal threading pain, but not excruciating! And the main lady was super quick without being sloppy. The chairs were comfortable and I liked that there was a basket nearby to put my purse and sunglasses in while I had my eyebrows threaded. The same plaza as Pho Hana. Be sure to keep an eye out for it or you might miss it. Walked in, was greeted and seated right away. When you walk in, instead of writing your name down like most threading salons you punch in your phone number on this iPad on the counter. You then select the services you need done. The lady was extremely nice and since it was my first time here she walked me through the steps. It's pretty much a loyalty program and you get free threading on your X visit. Panu and Mona always greet me like I'm a long lost friend. When I was sick, Panu got worried and suggested a warm water, lemon and spices as a remedy. At first they seemed very nice and she quoted me a good price for the threading service I wanted. I sat in her chair and she got started with the threading. She was a bit aggressive and it hurt a little but I had not gotten my face done before and did not realize that she was damaging my skin. When she was done, I went to the counter to pay. I handed her two twenties (I did not have change to pay just $25.00 that she had quoted) she gave me $5.00 change and said the price is $35.00? I reminded her that she had quoted $25.00 and she just ignored and held out the $5.00. This woman was dishonest and so aggressive with the service that I am still healing five days after the service. After growing my eyebrows out for 2 months I researched the best reviewed eyebrow locations and decided to come into Thread Beauty based on the reviews and photos of the work. Panu did an amazing job with my brows and I absolutely loved them!! They were perfect! 2-3 weeks later (today) I came in and saw Panu to get them cleaned up. I was soooooo disappointed when she was done because she completely took away the beautiful shape she had created previously and gave me eyebrows without the defined arch I worked so hard to achieve. Worse yet, my two brows didn't even match! One was rounded on the inside while the other was square. One was also notable thicker Than the other and they had different arches. I pointed this out to her and she was like 'ohhh' and went to work. I noticed she was taking away a lot of hair so I pointed to the area I was concerned with again and explained again. She said she knew and kept going. When she was done I looked in the mirror and there was no change in the area I was really concerned with and she just make by brows thinned and shorter :( she tried one more time before asking Mona to fix them. Mona tried but the damage was done and my beautiful full brows were just getting sparser and sparser. I left completely disappointed that I have to start this whole process over again and I leave for vacation in only 1 month :( Update: a couple days later I just took a closer look and realize that my eyebrow is full of sores from her cutting me. not okay. I always get my brows done there, there was a lady that I have never seen there before and she did absolutely amazing I'm so happy. I think she was new because I have never seen her before. But she did a very good job and I am happy I went to her. I think she will be my new eyebrow lady. Mona is also amazing. And so is the other lady. They are all very good. Okay. My most recent visit was terrible. I now know the Mona really truly knows my brows and her mother. The younger lady took off so much and made plenty of bald spots. I am so disappointed. I went to this place because of all the great reviews, and it's also five minutes from home. The place looks very nice and clean. I was welcomed with a smile so the vibe alone was already good. The two ladies were busy with other customers, but I only had to wait for about five minutes. This was at about 5:30pm on a Saturday. Anyway, I didn't catch the name of the woman who did my brows, but she was very friendly and VERY quick. I was happy with her work and how fast it was. I was out of there in less than 15 minutes. The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because she did keep pressing her hand into my eye, which hurt and was quite uncomfortable. I get that they're working around your eyes, but I thought she could've been a little gentler and more aware of her hands. I'll definitely come back here.
