Competent and Efficient with Best Pricing…read more Yelp reviews brought me to First Response Roofing. Making the appointment with Evelyn (owner) for an inspection by Cameron introduced me to their exceptional courtesy and good product knowledge. Detailed results of the inspection with optional pricing was received the same day as the inspection via email. Together, their presentation and pricing convinced me to select this company over two other bids from well-reviewed companies. My very positive impressions carried forward throughout the process to replace shingles on my house, an 8' x 10' custom shed, and the bonus - a large, custom doghouse. Their four-man crew worked quickly, confidently and congenially. Matt (Production Manager) and Geoff (Project Supervisor) went beyond the extra mile to provide a wonderful, customized solution to my concerns over the appearance of the new chimney cap. I am very well pleased and comforted with knowing that I have connected with a solid, small company that truly demonstrates a commitment to presenting a well polished service.

I met with three roofing companies that had outstanding reviews on Google and Yelp. I am sure I would have been pleased with any of the three of them, but I am really glad I went with Johnson Roofing. My experience with them started with Miguel Cepeda. His presentation was clear and detailed. He explained all aspects of the project and how they would get the job done. He recommended a few things that we're different than the competition. I was especially impressed with his explanation about venting and the specific vents he was recommending to replace my current vents. Most importantly, Johnson Roofing what's the only company that offered an easy to apply for payment plan through a bank that offered 12 months interest-free financing. We don't really see what any of these roofing companies are doing in detail while the project is being completed. So we normally have to go on faith that they did everything important and with the highest quality. At the end of the project, Miguel reviewed all the work with me via photos that were taken during the project. I could see in detail that a lot of plywood was replaced. Some companies might not have been as thorough or willing to do some of the things that Johnson did on its own. The review with Miguel gave me total comfort that's the job was done properly. The cleanup was excellent and so was the crew.

I called and reminded them I'd bought the warranty. The guy who sold it to me claimed the warranty doesn't cover this -- which is either incompetence or straight-up dishonesty. I called the main office, they opened a ticket, and eventually sent an employee to walk the roof. He shot 12 minutes of video and 30 photos and blamed the A/C unit -- which is also brand new. I was almost relieved, since Scottsdale Air has always been solid. Scottsdale Air sent their guy out to check it -- he spent 4 hours tracing every drain line and confirmed there aren't any in the affected areas. He was great, thorough and communicative. Meanwhile what started (pre new roof) as 1 leak is now 2, post a brand new roof install. 100% increase! Weeks later, still not resolved. I can't recommend Arizona Roofers, and I'd urge caution before hiring them. They're not inexpensive, and I feel like a fool for spending what I did. (Photos attached -- they sent these themselves.) Is pooling water normal on a new flat roof in Arizona? I don't think so.
