They have a nice selection of appetizers, and I strongly suggest you get the bacon wrapped tots. They are amazing. The brisket wae tender, the max and cheese exceptional and the coleslaw was deliciously crisp and tangy. I would totally visit again, especially for the fried biscuits, add some cinnamon sugar. It also came with a little piece of their spinach corn bread. The star of the show were the beans. They were delicious! Really delicious. My wife had the smoked turkey and she enjoyed hers too. If you are on a road trip, like us, don't be worried about taking an extra 15 minutes off of I75 to hit this place. And don't forget to squeeze the bbq udders for some extra sauce. :-)

As I was driving, thinking about where to go for lunch, I spotted that familiar little red stretched Monopoly house affectionately called Biguns. Great Southern name, eh? As I was passing by, I swear the woodsmoke from the Bar B Q pit wafted up and over two lanes of highway, entered through the a/c vents, grabbed me by the nose and devilishly beckoned me hither and yon..?? Well, something like that. Heck, I was already putting on my turn signal. Enter into the most wonderful aroma filled eating arena you can imagine. That smoke sure does things to your mind and taste buds. The next best part is being greeted by Tammy & Dave, the owners, and Theresa, Deb, Danielle, Mark, Jack and the rest of the gang. Like a home away from home. Truly. I, or we, when my beautiful Barbie Q babe is with me, love to sit at the little counter overlooking the kitchen. It's like being in the flight control tower on an aircraft carrier. A whole lot of arriving ticketed orders on the hook and departing food flights catapulting to the diners! Fun to watch! Tons of activity on the flat top! I opted for a man-sized meal on this visit. I'd been chopping down an old oak tree, using a chainsaw and a tractor, so I was feeling pretty 'macho'(Love that old word!). Back to the food. Danielle set before me a plate of ribs that even Fred Flintstone would envy! They were quite large, with a whole lot of juicy-looking meat and a trickle of juice running down off of them. I could see the unmistakable signature of a talented Pit Boss, in what's known as the Smoke Ring. It's that wonderful reddish-pink layer just under the crunchy crusty outer bark. A sure sign of awesome tastes to come! These ribs were OUT OF THIS WORLD! Fall off the bone tender, so full of flavor and oh so good. Oh yeah. I seem to remember along with the ribs, I had a choice of two sides. I got a salad and some collard greens. They played very well together in this fork and fingers fiesta! Bottom line. Whether you're an early bird, or like to sleep in late, Biguns will set you up with some mighty fine dining. Breakfast, lunch or Friday dinner. Right about now I figure it's time for you to quit reading and surfing the web, cause you've built up quite a hunger. Pick up your phone. Lock Biguns into you GPS. Waitress service4 was good even though when She asked me if our meals were OK I stated I was not pleased with my BBQ pork Dinner. Went nowhere. Managed to eat about half of it anyways. Meat was stated to be chopped on the menu, Came as a watery pulled pork with a peculiar smell. Now eight hours later no ill effects thank God. When the asked again at the register how the meal was I repeated my concerns. "You should have asked for something else. " was the reply. Wasn't once was enough? Wife happy. Husband disappointed in a $40 lunch that I was willing to try them again.. I think I am finished here...

This food truck is run by the sweetest husband-and-wife team, and their warmth alone makes you want to support them -- but the FOOD seals the deal. I mentioned I'd never had oxtail before, and the husband had his wife give me a sample. Holy smokes. One bite and I was sold. Ended up ordering the oxtail meal with rice, collard greens with ham, and black-eyed peas. Every single thing was absolutely delicious. And the sweet potato cornbread? Unreal. Moist, flavorful, and honestly one of the best pieces of cornbread I've ever had. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by and giving this food truck a try. They're kind, hardworking, and serving up truly amazing soul food. Don't miss them!
