Food is delicious. My hubby and I ordered the brisket sandwich, with pickles and coleslaw. My son had the brisket platter. He said the Mac and cheese was great (other review said it was bad) it's a food truck with some picnic tables behind the gas station. Sounds weird but it looks pretty. Server was friendly. I'm inspired! On a trip to the Tampa region, we were leaving Weekee Wachi state park (which is an awesome kayak adventure) we found this gem on Yelp just right down the road from the park. Try anything. My wife and I bought a mix of the brisket, collards, beans, Mac & Cheese, cornbread, etc. nothing was regrettable! Not a good experience. On line menu prices were incorrect. Prices were at least double upon arrival. My order was misunderstood I was given platters instead of sandwiches. and I was given and charged for 6 sides instead of 3. No green beans were available. My bill was $40!!! Unfortunately, the person who picked up my order didn't check or question the order & the price. I am very disappointed as I read other good reviews. Ok- hands down the BEST ribs we have had anywhere!! This place is unique truly. Its so great i had to post another review- ive NEVER written twice about any place but LaurieCue is brag-worthy :) A year later and they are still the best! The rubs and sauces are amazing but the ribs are so good they literally do not need sauce. Well they are smothered in their awesome rub and fall off the bone juicy and delicious. Its BBQ with a Latin twist - you will be ruined from ever eating ribs anywhere else once you try them. You know what is beyond delicious too?? Their whole roast chicken- um WOW! My husband doesn't even like chicken and he goes nuts for theirs! They are only open a few days a week so catch them while they are there - call ahead- Its WAY worth it! I got the Brisket platter with Mac and Cheese and greens and my wife got the Rib platter with Beans and Greens, we both got the corn bread as well and I ordered a full rack of Ribs on the side. The Ribs where fall off the bone crispy sweet and tangy indescribably delicious. I got three generous slices of brisket wich were heavenly good and almost sinful. I waited until I had eaten there a second time to leave this review. The first time I had brisket, and the 2nd time I had the half-chicken. I won't take any stars away for being very slightly over-salted, because it's very subjective, and I still ate and enjoyed the whole half-chicken. Why 5 stars? Because I officially have a go-to in Brooksville now! --- --- --- I recently found out about BarbieCue from the Creative Loafing awards, as they won Best BBQ in Tampa Bay! We pulled up and ordered at the window and headed back to sit at a picnic table behind the truck. The entire time we were back there, our little guy was making eyes at who I'd presume to be 'Barbie' of BarbieCue. He's smart and knows how to get on the good side of the person responsible for bringing us delicious food. For meat we ordered every type available: Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork and Chicken. For sides we went with Mac N Cheese, Baked Beans and Cornbread. Everything ranged from good to great. Ribs are hard because sometimes they are too tough and other times they fall right off like stew - these were that perfect middle ground. The pulled pork was super addicting. And the brisket was really solid. Mac N Cheese was the highlight of the side dishes. Recently had a chance to visit LaurieCue on a visit to Florida after hearing about my dad rave about it when he visited in the past. My Dad had the ribs and Mac and cheese along with green beans. I ordered the brisket and also had the green beans and Mac and cheese. Omg. First the green beans were probably the best I've ever had in my life. I wish I went for two servings they were that good. Brisket was tender and delicious and the fiery sauce which had a good kick without being uncomfortable. My dads ribs were fresh out of the smoker when we arrived and I tried on and they were delicious! Great seasoning and smoke flavor. Top it all off staff was so nice and brought our order out to the car. We look forward to returning once we are down again. read more

So passing by LaurieCue as I was headed North on 19 I said.... "We're stopping here for lunch on my way back through." I've had the collard greens before at a party and they were amazing, so I decided to give the Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, green beans, macaroni & cheese, and yes extra Collards a try today. I've had the opportunity of eating BBQ all over different parts of the country. Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas YOU name the state, I've probably had bbq there. As crazy and as unbelievably this may sound. The little red BBQ trailer next to the Mobil station on 19 IS THE BEST I've ever had. Read that again...... seriously. My absolute favorite part of the meal was the brisket, I'll explain why. Every BBQ place "says" they have good brisket, but if you have to work at chewing it that's not good brisket. Period.... This brisket today at Lauriecue was seasoned perfectly, with a light smoky flavor, it was so juicy that it would literally disintegrate in your mouth before you even chewed it. My only regret was that I did not get more, I probably would have ordered 20 lbs of it and carried it around with me all day eating it like Capt. Jack Sparrow with that jar of dirt. Ribs were everything I dreamed of, again, light seasoning, a perfectly Taylored smoke flavor with juicy ribs all throughout the entire rack. I'll be honest I wasn't keen on sharing it. not a dry morsel. Pulled pork sandwich was also very delicious, plenty of pork, perfectly layed out, very juicy. You'll notice no sauce was used on the sandwich, and it wasn't needed. (I'll get back to that shortly) my daughter enjoyed the Mac & cheese, she's really picky with that particular dish. (You could say she's a young connoisseur) she ate almost the whole box to herself and she said it was one of her favorites. Green beans were very tasty and so was the Collards. The collards are ALSO the best I've ever had anywhere. I really can't say enough about this food. I truly do not want to bore you guys any longer, but THIS IS IT when it comes to BBQ. Food was literally ready within minutes of ordering, service is top notch with folks who truly seem like they enjoy what they are doing. Answering any and all of our questions with a smile. The sauce: I don't like sauce on any of my BBQ... I never have, I want the prep work of the meat to speak for itself, I want to taste the effort the chef puts into the food they serve. Dry rubs are my favorite types of barbecue, they have 4-5 different sauces to choose from if that's your jam, but to be honest I feel the meats all stood out on their own with absolutely no sauces necessary. All of it was so juicy and delicious the sauces wouldn't have added anything to it in my personal opinion. The location: I added the location, their address and phone number to one of the pictures. We came into town on Thursday and stopped here to grab dinner. It was fantastic, we came back again Saturday night. 1sr trip we had the 3 combo plate with the brisket, ribs and pulled pork with cornbread, green beans and mac & cheese. 2nd trip we grabbed brisket and ribs with double mac & cheese and dinner roles. Now that we finished we are thinking we should have gotten some pulled pork too to have left overs for tomorrow. The ribs have a really nice dry rub so I skipped the bbq sauce. All of the meats had great flavor and they didn't taste like they were all cooked with the same rubs which I really appreciated. The green beans were tasty, a bit salty and had meat in them. My other half loves mac & cheese and he was a fan. I prefer the corn bread to dinner rolls. If you get a rack of ribs you can have them as a dry rub or they will sauce them and let them glaze in the smoker, your choice. They have 4 homemade BBQ sauces to choose from. This is a good truck that has a picnic table outside HOWEVER it is in the lot of a brewery/beer garden and they let you take the food inside. They will actually deliver it to you when done. DELICOUS!! Opted for the all meats combo-pulled pork, pulled chicken, sliced brisket and ribs. ALL MEATS we're excellent! Opted for the OG sauce, I could prob go up a level next time in terms of heat. The Smokey beans were great, the green beans were EXCELLENT! The White Chick w/ Soul was phenomenal. I asked if I could order it with only white meat & they were able to do so. It comes topped with Mac & cheese & collard greens... divine. Would love to try it with a sourdough bun! The ballsy bbq sauce has a nice little heat to it with great flavor. The brisket was so tender & flavorful, the pulled pork was seasoned well, and the cornbread was moist & delicious. I love when cornbread isn't very sweet so it was perfect! We also got the pork n beans & they were also very good! Slightly sweet, shreds of pork, some sort of pepper, seasoned to perfection. Everything was 10/10 across the board.
