It's a small spot with only four tables and three seats at a little bar, but don't let the size fool you--the food is delicious! You get an entrée with your choice of mashed potatoes or rice, plus two sides. I had the fried pork chops with mashed potatoes, okra and tomatoes, and a vegetable medley. Everything was delicious and did not disappoint! My husband had the fried chicken with rice, mac & cheese, and corn, and he said it was excellent. And the sweet tea? Five stars! If you're in the Dunnellon area and looking for some good, down-home food, I highly recommend giving Southern Palate a try. Definitely worth checking out!

And don't even get me started on the plantains -- crispy on the outside, sweet and tender on the inside. They were the perfect balance of sweetness to complement the rich, savory oxtail. This meal was an absolute flavor bomb, and I'm already planning my next visit. If you haven't tried the oxtail here yet, do yourself a favor and get on that. You'll thank me later.
