What a great find! We visited Macker Seafood on the 4th of July and had a wonderful experience…read more Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The clam chowder was rich, hearty, and loaded with clams and other delicious ingredients. We also took advantage of their happy hour special with $1 raw oysters, which were fresh and delicious. The fried fish and fried shrimp specials were both excellent--lightly battered, perfectly cooked, plump, and juicy. We paired everything with a couple of beers and sweet tea, and it made for a fantastic meal. The service was outstanding. Lauren, our server, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Brian and Mama were also so welcoming and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere, the clean restaurant (including the spotless restroom), and the background music, which was at just the right volume. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend Macker Seafood if you're looking for fresh seafood, great service, and a relaxed dining experience!

We had chowder, raw oysters, lightly blackened mahi-mahi and peel/eat shrimp. No complaints with any. Peel/eat shrimp came with potatoes and corn, too-- nice surprise. Mahi-mahi came with tasty fries. Just a simple little place with basic menu; I guess I was hoping for a bit more variety and different dishes, this being the 3rd day of seafood fest! No complaints at all, but there are other places in the area with very good seafood, full bar, seating on the water, etc. (I thought this place could probably charge much more, being just as it is, if it were anywhere near the actual beach or waterway).

The clam chowder was also delicious and paired perfectly with the meal. The orders also came out in a very timely manner during peak lunch hours which means whether you want to sit down or to go, you won't have to wait no more than 15 minutes or so before having your food ready. Overall, the food was outstanding, the flavors were spot on, and I would absolutely recommend N.E. Seafood Shack to anyone looking for a great seafood meal in Leesburg.

A solid choice if you want a pound of steamers. Available until gone. Shared as an appetizer with dining partner. Ordered the catfish special. All food was fresh and hot. Catfish pretty good (not quite as crispy due to the batter used). I'm partial to a cornmeal rather than a traditional "fish and chip" batter with catfish. Still pretty good. Two large filets with a generous portion of French fries and coleslaw. The grilled salmon was also ordered. Very good, served with vegetables and coleslaw. Will definitely be back.

The employees were super friendly and kind with smiling faces and very helpful! The food was super yummy! we started with gator bites and ooooh they were perfect. Truly can't wait to come back.

One of our favorite things to do in every new city is seek out the local favorites and discover our own go to restaurants. This time, we decided to give St. Augustine Fish Camp a try. Right away, we were impressed. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the waterfront views made for a great dining experience. We ordered the clam chowder, Spicy Seafood Linguini, and Shrimp & Grits. Unfortunately, I'd love to be able to rave about the food, but shortly after we finished eating, I became sick and dealt with an upset stomach for the rest of the night. My fiancé also didn't feel well afterward, although her symptoms were much milder. This was the first and only meal we'd eaten since earlier that afternoon, so we suspect it may have been related to something we ate, though we can't say that with absolute certainty. That said, one bad experience doesn't define a restaurant. The service and atmosphere were both excellent, and it's clear from the many positive reviews that plenty of people have had great meals here. We'll give St. Augustine Fish Camp another chance before we leave town, but next time we'll probably order different menu items. Thanks for reading, we hope our experience is helpful!

It was fun to see the fresh caught fish in a display case on the way to order. At the end of our visit I chatted with one of the staff and she was super friendly to this out of towner. I personally had one of the specials - Cobia grilled with teriyaki glaze and mango salsa and fried okra instead of fries. The fish was cooked perfectly, not dried out, the flavor combination was well balanced. The okra was plentiful and, while I prefer cornmeal batter (Cracker Barrel style), this batter was seasoned just right and cooked to a nice golden color. I noticed that even though everything has a fried option, the restaurant didn't smell greasy or fishy. My husband had a fried chicken sandwich that he enjoyed and my nephew had a cheeseburger that looked delicious too. No one walked away hungry or disappointed today. Only thing I missed was trying dessert, but we headed out just before it got busy with the dinner crowd. I would definitely eat here again and recommend to friends!
