Great car buying experience! Brian and Ben were awesome and it was super easy and fast. Would definitely recommend!

Looking for trustworthy salesman to help get you a car when you are in need? DONT go here ! My car got totaled and I was in need of a car bad but I had bad credit so I came here to see if they can help. They ABSOLUTELY took advantage of me when I was in a time of need. The car I wanted needed to be detailed so I couldn't get it right away, so the manager TOLD ME to pick any car off the lot for the weekend since I couldn't bring the one I wanted home. I picked out a car and put a $500 deposits down that day, and was going to put the rest of the deposits down when I picked up the car the following Monday. After further consideration we decided to postpone getting the car due to financial reasoning and covid.. you get the idea. When I Came in and told the manager with the beer belly that sits in the front , he got so incredibly nasty with me and told me they won't refund me my money back. I told him I needed to postpone getting the car for financial reasons and he kept insisting I gave him a more detailed answer .. MY FINANCIAL ISSUES ARE NON OF HIS BUSINESS . He then told me they're keeping my $500 because I "got a rental car" that he pushed on giving me because my car wasn't ready to take off the lot that I wanted. I told him I only drove the car less than 5 miles and he still insisted I owed him MY $500!!!! After fighting with him I spoke to their financial lady and she said he was full of bullshit and promised me my refund my Wednesday (it was Monday at the time) I waited after Wednesday and still nothing .. NO ONE would answer my calls or emails regarding me refund !! When the store did answer my call they told me their financing lady "didn't know how to process a refund I'm sorry, but what financial lady doesn't know how to do a simple refund that's worked there for years ? Mmm.. always, I finally got me refund after having to call EVERY hour . I told the guy on the phone I was going to file a disput with me bank , and look at that. I got my refund in seconds. And then the salesman had the audacity to ask me to come back to "earn my business" . long story short, DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. I COUKD RATE IT A ZERO IF I COULD !!! read more

Complete liars! Incompetent ,unprofessional, untrustworthy. Do not waste your time. Friday I called and spoke to their sales person Melissa about a brand new 2018 car. Before going in, I wanted to confirm my "Out the door" price. I REPEATEDLY said, "Out the door price, after fees, taxes, and anything else". I could not have been more clear. We agreed on a price. Again, I confirmed that price was the "Out the door price". She again said yes. We make an appointment for Saturday afternoon. Saturday: Upon arrival, I check out the car and notice a couple dings in the car. It being a brand new car I said I wanted it fixed. They said "Oh of course no problem!" Deciding to go ahead and purchase the car, Melissa tells me, "Oh no the price we agreed on that's just for the car. That does not include taxes and fees." They refused to come down to the originally agreed upon price. So I went to another dealer where unfortunately, after wasting a couple hours of my time here, the car I wanted was sold. I was obviously not happy. Sunday: With A LOT of hesitation I contacted Melissa and say fine I will agree to the higher price but I want it in writing. They sent me the email with the price in writing. Monday (Today): After already taking steps to purchase the car, I text Melissa to ask when the car can be fixed. No response. Finally I call and they tell me they are reneging on the deal because the cost to repair the dings is too high so they will not honor the price they gave me in writing. This of course is not my fault and I say this is ridicules I was giving a price in writing! This is incredibly unprofessional! Then the manager gets on the phone and this prick has the audacity to tell me I am being unreasonable! First, they had an appointment with me. They knew I was coming and had nearly 24 hours to do a walk around the car to look for any dents, dings, discrepancies and inform me before I took my time to drive there. Second, they should have said it depends on what the cost to repair these dings is if we can honor the price we told you (which of course they didn't honor the first price anyway). But again they simply said no problem. This place lied to me about the original price, and therefore caused me to miss out on a car at another dealership, then backed out of a deal they gave me in writing. Apparently that means nothing to them. I really wish I was exaggerating. But everything here is 100% factual. I've done a lot of business with car dealerships and I've never seen such incompetence and unprofessional-ism. I have told all my co-workers, friends and family about my experience here and they are shocked. They will never give this dealership their business and they intend to tell their friends and family to do the same and so on. Do yourself a favor, and go elsewhere. Its amateur hour 24/7 here. P.S. I didn't even go into the car they told me today (Monday) was in Salem that I said I would buy instead that was sold over the weekend. Incompetence or complacent or both. You decide. read more

They prey on women. Not nice. Over $500 later, they fixed everything except what we asked, the window and airbag alarm. In addition, the aggressive maintenance gal almost made us late for our plane. When I was there at the counter, all was going well. So left to get our other car turned around so we could get to the airport. After ten minutes, I came back in to find a flustered wife. It wasn't until we were on the plane that I found out what had happened. I immediately called to cancel the bogus maintenance (my wife found the records later that showed that they had been recently done). Too late! They had all ready done the unneeded maintenance. But a week later when we returned (even after giving permission to replace what was needed on the window), nothing had been done on the window. We were a long-time customer (car purchaces and maintenance). They violated the most sacred trust--making my wife feel respected and valued. And that is how you lose customers. read more

We went to Ron Tonkin Hyundai as that was who works with Costco. We did purchase a vehicle but being as they had to get the vehicle from another dealer it only came with one key. It has now been more than a month and we still do not have the second key. I tried to get the manager involved and he handed me off to the sales person. Apparently customer service is not in his DNA. There has been little or no communication on the status of the key. I always have to reach out. What has happened to customer service? read more

UNBELIEVABLE service! Would recommend to anyone and everyone. Dale the finance manager spent time getting me the best possible deal, listened to my needs, made me feel like it wouldn't be impossible after bankruptcy to find a good car in my budget. Not only did I get a great rate, and the car I wanted, but they came back with a better rate with a credit union 2 days after I bought the car! I needed to resign documents, I didn't have to go to the dealership, they sent a nice service tech out to my work to finish signing. I got right in to fix a few things with service, and was given a brand new rental to use while I was without my new car - Jennifer and Cliff thank you! The day I bought my car Brian (ASK FOR BRIAN) patiently walked me around the lot and helped me find exactly what I wanted - he was kind, he listened, absolutely no pressure or over information. I didn't anticipate taking a car home that day, so I rode with a friend in to look. I wanted to take my Jetta home that day lol - Brian rode with me after my purchase to pick up my trade in car from my home and took it away, so I could be in my new car that day! This dealership is over the top wonderful. They made every ounce of - what I thought was going to be an impossible situation for me, and turned it into a memorable and truly stress free experience. I would give the dealership 10 stars if I could. Jose (I think is his name), that helped with my final papers was wonderful also and Adam! EVERYONE THANK YOU!!! Lindsay read more

Ron Tonkin Hyundai - Car Dealers Near Me - Gresham, Oregon

I give Jose 5 stars. Jose is very pleasant and easy going. Very nice to work with. I went to Ron Tonkin with very specific needs after filing bankruptcy. Being very specific to them, i was told they definitely could help me get into a truck and I drove a hour and a half to them. I met with Dale Goodson, knowing what I needed I was Looking very specifically for a 4x4. Something Rugged as I live on a steep incline logging road. He set me up with Jose to walk the lot looking at specific vehicles. The truck I went into look at was not available as the bank would not loan me $ on certain cars with its year/mileage. Everything they showed me was either too small, AWD and/or too pretty and low for where I live. The bank was not listening to what I specifically needed. Jose knew I was getting upset, was very nice and you could tell he felt bad. I thought I was going home without a vehicle. That's when Dale told Jose about the Hummer H3 that just came in. The H3 had not been detailed yet and hadn't been inspected yet. Jose and I went for a drive in it and I loved it. Fit my needs, even thought it was not a truck. I can carry a lot in it. Fun to drive but living on a logging road I feel safe in it. I signed all the papers and was told I should have it by Friday. I had hoped Thursday. It was a Tuesday night. On Thursday about 3 I still had not heard anything so I called Dale, was told there was a recall on a AC wire and they were waiting on the dealership. Friday about 2, I called Dale again as no one had called to update me. Left a message. At 4 I called again to get Dale who told me the H3 was not available yet. We were at the mercy of the dealership. Dale made it sound like it could be done Saturday. No call. I call Monday, I'm more upset because no one has communicated with me on a car I just bought and what going on. I talk to Jose who is very apologetic and seems to understand my frustration. He states that he didn't realize Dale was not keeping me updated. I finally get the H3 Wednesday. Pretty upset at this point as no one has kept me updated. I have the H3 for a week and the battery goes dead. Then it progressively gets worse where I'm constantly jumping it. I find out that there is a battery tender on it and that I need a new battery. I call Dale to let him know I'm having problems with the H3. He's immediately 'on guard'. I tell him I don't understand how If the vehicle was inspected how the battery passed? And I wanted to know why a battery-tender was on it. Dale was very condescending and made this my fault because I was very specific on my vehicle needs when he could have gotten me into something newer with less problems but didn't fit my vehicle needs. Dale wasn't listening to me anymore. I got the battery replaced. Still haven't called Dale as I don't think he cares. The dealership made it quite clear while broken down at my work parking lot that the battery was fine when the inspected it. If I wanted 'them' to look at it, I would have to pay to tow it to them and they would look at it free of charge to inspect it. Which should have been done in the first place. I told Dale that it leaked, the seat is broken, the rubber in the side step is broken, the back piece to the back door and it runs a little rough. He basically told me that's what I get for not wanting any other vehicle Jose showed me. Wha? Dale has an attitude problem. I would have been very happy if someone had just kept communication open with me and the dealership owning up for the things that weren't done on a vehicle. I would happily drive to see them again when my credit is better when I need a newer vehicle but the post sales experience was horrible. I would have happily referred friends and family but the way I was treated waiting to get the H3 will keep me from doing that. I wish I could separate Jose's out of this as he was great but overall experience was bad. read more

Worst car buying experience ever. Never worked so hard to simply buy a car, cash deal. Dysfunctional dealership. Sure Hyundai Regional Manager probably be interested in customer experiences. Original sales guy (BTW I had to call dealership to followup on online request to buy the car) did not even tell us car was a demo after 3 direct requests...then requested to speak with a sales mgr...he then advise car was sold...then realized error in system. Assured me would ensure everything be smooth from then on. I advised purchasing the car out of state and wanted to ensure had a smooth process. Purchased car at the advertised price in a cash deal. Provided all information on Wed to have sales docs completed and confirmed receipt with sales person. Assured everything ready to go on first thing Friday am. Advised flying son to Portland early Friday am to pick up the car, with check in hand. Advised would have all paperwork ready so could get back on road for long trip home. Arrived at dealership nothing ready. Called Sales Mgr to get some help, he acted like was doing me a big favor to sell me the car and did not even acknowledge the sales person agreed to have everything ready first thing Friday am. He told me that dealership not open until 9am and would get the paperwork done then. (Not even acknowledging the paperwork should have been prepared the day before) Had to wait over 3 hrs hours to get ready....son left dealership at 11:15am after being there at 745am..(reminder this was a cash deal w/ check in hand) and all the plans were agreed to on Wed with all information provided that was requested. All I heard from dealership is was someone else problem. Left and right hands dropped the ball and pointed fingers. Highly recommend go to another dealer..save yourself the headache. Plenty of other good dealers to have a positive customer experience. read more

If I could give a worse review I would. Took advantage of the fact that I'm younger so they added about $5k worth of bull shit on my contract, said I put certain money down when I didn't which is illegal, lied to me on the phone multiple times, the guy who sold us the car told us if we didn't give him a review he wouldn't get paid, unprofessional. Tried to cancel something on contract a month ago and just now figured out they never canceled it. The guy in finance on the phone gave me attitude on the phone and hung up on me. I wish I had never ever came here. Upset with this place is an understatement. read more

My husband and I love this place. We went in just to check out some good deals we saw on Kia Souls on their website and we ended up leaving with one. Our salesman Erick was great and we thought everyone was friendly and helpful, but the best part of our experience was Finance Manager Kelly. I'm not sure who the Finance Manager was when the other reviewers were there, but Kelly is amazing and made our whole experience super easy and fun. We love our car and we got an awesome deal. Thanks Ron Tonkin Hyundai! 4/12/13 Update Since we brought our car home we've had a few headaches, but generally feel taken care of. I felt I needed to removed a star, but still a mostly positive experience. read more

Let me start by saying this is my fourth used car I've bought, but Ron Tonkin has the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. Let's start with the salesman pretending he had no idea about existing issues with the vehicle. So I specifically drove an hour and a half from my home to look at a 2010 GMC Sierra with a decent price tag. I get there and do a quick look at the inside and outside of the vehicle. First thing I find is part of a smoked cigarette it the center console. Kinda hard to miss something like that, but ok I'll move forward. I decide to take the truck for a test drive and notice right away that the back up sensors are not working. I mention this to the salesman who acts like he has no idea what I'm talking about. Even though he's the one who pulled the truck out for the test drive. Well just an fyi, not only did they not work, but when you start it there's a bell with a message right in your face telling you the problem, so the salesman was just playing stupid. The rest of the test drive went fine so after I have them put in writing that they'll fix the existing issues I decide to go through with the sale. About a week later they start hounding me for $60 because apparently they payoff on my old vehicle was off by $60. Keep in mind this is an over $30,000 vehicle, so $60 seems petty, but ok I get it. I pay the difference only to be charged another payment on my old vehicle a week later. When I call the dealership to ask why they tell me the finance company was "taking their time" putting the loan through. Um, then why was I hounded right off the bat for $60? So after sorting out that issue we move forward. I get a call telling me the part for my backup sensor had arrived and I needed to schedule a time to take it in. I explained that they were way out of my way and I'd have to schedule a day I could take off work. When I do contact them to schedule a time they ask who I originally talked to, I explained I didn't recall the name but I told them the work that was needed. I was then transferred around for 20 minutes repeating my story to each person only to be transferred again. I finally hang up. I then receive a call the next day to schedule the appointment, everything goes fine with repairs but when I pick up the vehicle I notice the key doesn't work. I look down to see a VISIBLE TAG that says Chevy Malibu. I return the wrong keys to them and just get an "oops, sorry about that." Thinking my issues are finally done I find out a week after that the batteries are bad....yes batteries. It's a diesel and has two, after they go through the "we checked everything and you bought it as is" speech I end up spending $300 to replace my batteries. And on top of that, the rotors are warped as well, which will cost me $350 for only the front ones, and that's if I do them myself. So to any Ron Tonkin dealership people reading this, you have the worst service I've ever experienced. And I will be sure to go out of my way to make sure you lose business. read more

K and M auto service. Hyundai service charged me $85 for the part, $137 diagnostic fee and total at $206 to install the switch. K and M Auto was $75 diagnostic fee and $20 for the window switch part. SAME SWITCH different door. Ill never go back to this dealer again. read more

The worst customer service I've ever had. I bought a brand new Hyundai Tucson December 15th of the 2019. Covid home and the battery was so dead it would not start at all. I called the dealership the next day they told me to have it towed to Ron Tonkin Hyundai in Gresham. I asked if they could bring a new battery they said no. Ron Tonkin Hyundai manager Melissa Slover told me I had roadside assistance and could get the car towed there. My car was there 3 days while they tested the battery to find out it was completely dead just like I said. I missed two days of work, I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

I was not greeted politely when I walked in to the service department. I was also told that I did not have to come to this location to have my Recall notice attended to. The only time they were ever happy to see me is when my work was completed and I was heading out the door. The waiting area in the service department is seriously lacking. It looks as though someone attempted to turn an employee break room into a customer lounge. The other waiting area is in the corner of the show room. As if someone turned the child "play area" in to a multi use area by merely placing a television in the center of it. Although I enjoy owning a Hyundai. I do not enjoy being made to jump through hoops in order to have anything checked/repaired on my vehicle. If I had known in the beginning I would be running a maze as if I were a hamster. I would have purchased a Kia. (Pun intended) read more

Wouldn't do the service I requested, tried to sell services not recommended by Hyundai that I didn't need.

First off, I am so disappointed in my purchase!  The vehicle I am in, is not the one I had inquired about.....I inquired about the one with lower miles (which I have an email regarding) I was told before driving almost to Troutdale, that I would be able to take the vehicle home last weekend, obviously that did not occur. Then when the vehicle was delivered, after I signed papers (I saw that this was a different vehicle all together).I am pretty sure this isn't even the car my husband test drove, but that cannot be confirmed.  Then yesterday after it was dropped off to me, I hopped in to drive away and saw a light on....I thought it was a normal thing until I told my husband about it, which he has vast knowledge of cars and said, no that is not normal. So after doing research it appears the light means there is an issue regarding the 4 wheel drive. You dropped a car off to me knowing that light is on, you cannot deny it.  Not only did you sell me the wrong car, but a car that already has issues. I am so disgusted, I've had the car for less than 24 hours.  This is why car sales have a bad rep. Yes, shame on me for not paying attention more, but shame on you for knowingly taking advantage of my situation! read more

Update: 18 days in and my car died today on the way to work. It's Sunday, and car can't be "looked at" until tomorrow. Husband spoke with Shun and we will be charged the $100 warranty fee to have the car "diagnosed". I was hustled. Hopefully the car can be fixed, otherwise I'm screwed. If I could give this dealership 100 stars I would!! Will was amazing! We walked in, discussed what I wanted up front and he showed me the options based on what I asked for. Nowhere in the entire process did anyone try to pressure me into anything more or less than what I was looking for. Shun was able to get me a loan approval in less than 15 minutes. Jose in finance wrapped up my paperwork in about the same. I was terrified walking in. I've been screwed in the past with car purchases and I can honestly say I am amazed at how smooth this whole process was. AMAZING! I will be back with my daughter to have these guys help her with her first vehicle! Thank you guys!! read more

We were in the market for a car and happened upon two vehicles at this location. We were greeted warmly by Jason G. as we were looking at the vehicles. We test drove 2 vehicles that day. Jason is friendly, personable and very engaging. He listens to your comments very closely, is patient and offers suggestions. We told him what we were looking for in a vehicle and he did an inventory search of the Tonkin dealerships. We found another car we were interested in and sent Jason a text. He met us at that location at our preferred time. We test drove the car and decided we were interested in purchasing. He allowed me to drive the car back to his assigned location. We met the the Sales Manager immediately and negotiated a price! From the beginning - middle and end the car buying experience was smooth sailing! Thanks guys! read more

Save yourself time, frustration and hassle by going anywhere else. Try calling their service department, and when nobody answers your call, you'll see what I mean. I spent two weeks calling, leaving multiple, unreturned voicemails, to try and schedule window tinting that I paid for when we purchased our vehicle. They don't even do the window tinting, they contract it out, but wouldn't give me the number to set it up myself. I thought I was getting ripped off until I showed up in person to get it scheduled. I scheduled an oil change here, 3 days in advance on their website (since nobody would answer my call yet again). I got a confirmation email that showed my appointment time was 4pm. When I showed up at 4pm, I was told that my appointment had been rescheduled to 430pm and this lady (Jennifer Moran Lopez) had the nerve to tell me that she called me multiple times and sent an email to notify me of this 'ahead of time'. I don't have phone problems, she never called. When I got back to my car to wait an extra 30 mins, I got an email, sent at 4:02pm, saying my appointment was rescheduled. They play these games with people, it's just bad business. I wrote this same review on their website but it was never posted, which explains why their SureCritic reviews are so high. I know they got my review too because their service manager Clif called me to discuss it. I missed his call and when I called him back, you'll never guess what happened...no answer and no voicemail even set up, just repeated ringing. My first ever car buying experience was VERY positive at Ron Tonkin Hyundai. I told them what I was looking for and they actually brought the car to me to look at (it was raining really hard). I've been driving my new Hyundai Veloster for a couple weeks and this is the first time I've ever understood why people love their cars. I usually hate everything about cars - buying them, fixing them, selling them. No more though! Tanner Vannett was a fantastic salesman - he helped me choose my new car, but also took the time to understand my needs and make sure I made the right decision. He was knowledgeable about his Hyundai stock but also very comfortable with the other Tonkin dealerships in town -- I felt like I could have bought any brand car and he would be able to help. He got me a great deal on my new Veloster and helped me get great value for my old Subaru. And even after buying the car, Tanner has been extremely helpful with the several questions that have arisen as I've gotten to know my new ride. Car guys get a bad rap, but I can say that Tanner was truly one of a kind. I'd have to say that buying a car in Portland without meeting Tanner first would be a huge mistake. read more

Echo the previous accolades for Tanner Vannett. We did our homework and found the price we wanted to pay, and shopped it around the local dealers, who used standard scare tactics and hard selling to convince us it was unreasonable. I have enough car-buying experience to know the games dealers play, and Tanner was distinctly different - he was completely straightforward and honest, and did not beat around the bush on price. We negotiated the whole deal over email and based on his assurances I sent my parents on a 4 hour drive to complete the deal. He promised to treat them as if they were his own family and he delivered. Integrity can be hard to find in this profession but my hat is off to Tanner - Highly recommended. read more

Cory, sales person was very nice to me on the phone. Ron Tonkin is a super dealership.

I wish I could give more stars - the used car we purchased was in great shape and a fair deal. The 3 stars is an average of a 1 star for Preston, our salesman, and a 5 star for Adam in finance. Preston is your typical manipulative car salesman. Not impressed. Told us that if we did not buy the car, it was going to auction the next day. Well, the next day we spoke with the manager and were able to get a fair deal. Preston called us that morning threatening they would sell the car to someone else if we did not hurry up and put our money down on the vehicle. Unfortunately for him, we were not phased by these antics. After purchasing the vehicle, he told us that the dealership lost money on the car. Completely unprofessional. Adam in finance, however, is a total gem. He was personable, friendly, and best of all...he was able to find us an incredible interest rate. He made sure we understood our terms, our warranty, and mentioned the dealership referral incentive program (the one Preston later falsely claimed was his own "personal referral incentive"). Thanks, Adam! We would have backed out based on principle if it wasn't for you! Overall, a decent experience. We needed a reliable vehicle at a fair price and that is what we walked away with. Avoid dealing with Preston and you'll be sure to have a good experience, too! read more

I wish to comment on my experience with Ron Tonkin Hyundai in Gresham. I had been shopping for a car for several weeks - I had a couple fairly good interactions but the majority were pretty crazy and very intimidating. I walked into Ron Tonkin Hyundai in Gresham bracing myself - I was not into this - and what a pleasant surprise - between Jim (Jamie Westrich) and David (Mcgee) it was a great experience. In a nutshell - no pressure at all, answers to my many questions, humor (the folks at this dealership interact great together - that was refreshing!!) -when I could not make a decision it was suggested I take the car home overnight so my mechanic could look at it - I came back with 2 minor suggestions from him and they got to it - there was a wait as I had no appointment and I was not feeling well and fading fast - I did not make a big deal about it but they could tell and they got my paperwork together (those folks were great too!!) and then gave me a loaner car so I could go home and lay down - they delivered my car to me at home when it was ready. I feel I got a great price and was treated with respect and kindness as well - they went above and beyond. This purchase was a big one for ME but in reality was a used car w/ no extras purchased and using my own financing and still the service was amazing. I have told many folks about this experience and recommended them for any car purchases - THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!! Really the experience not only got me a great car but it warmed my heart as well. Originally not geeat service. I had sent them a secured message via online and inquired about financing options. The person whonreaponded wasn't plesant. Almost a month after a new employee Michael contacted me, was very nice and helped answer my questions and said he was sorry about the previous person, but would make sure our experience with him was a good one. I had a few questions he wasn't able to answer as it was day 3 on the job, so he had me talk with Dale in finance. He answered all my questions, he and Michael took my app over the phone and got back to me the following day as agreed. They understood the position we were in, but also the need of a new car and were empathetic about it. Dale and I were ablw to agree on price, warranty, GAP etc over the phone and even got us into a better car than what we were originally asking about. Since we live 2 hours away, and the car was at a different dealership they got the car transferred for us by the time we got there. We met with Michael and Dale test drove it, and paperwork done and on our way home in two hours. Fastest car buying experience ever. Everyone was very professional, friendly and inviting. I told them I'm in the market to purchase a new car for myself in a few months as the one we picked up was for my husband. I'll be happy to go back to them to purchase our next car. With time being very important to my husband and I, and we hate to dick around and be hassled it was nice to just explain that and have someone understand and not waste it. We both felt like we got a good deal on everything on top of it. Definitely recommend Michael and Dale at Ton Tonkin! read more

Ron Tonkin Hyundai - Car Dealers Near Me - Gresham, Oregon

Hats off to everyone at Ron Tonkin Hyundai for making buying a car a wonderful experience! My husband and I just stopped in to talk to someone about what we would qualify for and in no time I was driving home in a 2015 Sonata. Erick was great. Never did I feel like I was talking with a car salesman. No one was pushy or obnoxious, (like I've experienced with other car dealerships). I couldn't be happier and love my car! I would recommend Ron Tonkin Hyundai to everyone. Make sure you ask for Erick, he's great! Tell him Victoria sent you :) read more

If I could do zero stars, I would. The staff was OK'ish. Nice enough. My husband and I bought a car from them 2 years ago, we were told it had never been in an accident, lie number 1. We were shown a CarFax report, but it was faked, lie number 2. My husband and I recently went somewhere else to purchase a newer car, coming to find out we were hugely overcharged for the vehicle we got from Ron Tonkin, leaving us a gross amount in negative equity. The car had also, IN FACT, been in an accident, which we found out with a REAL car fax report. I realize that most of what car salesman do is whatever it takes to make a sale, but what happened to integrity, honor, and human decency? I spent 20+ years in sales, you can make money and do the right thing by your customers. This dealership does not do that. Don't waste your time or money. read more

I found Preston at Ron T Hyundai to be very helpful! I had a bad experience at another hyundai dealer earlier (lots of old time pressure salesman tricks). Preston was very straightforward in dealing with. He made getting this car to me quickly a priority! And at the best price! The place may not look fancy, but everyone there was friendly and real. The have my business! read more

I saw the car I wanted online, so my girlfriend and I decided to check it out in person. We were immediately greeted by Tony, a sales rep. We told him about the car we were looking at, he gladly walked us right to the car. The car was as advertised, very clean. Test drove it and fell in love with it! I could probably go on for a while about our positive experience, but I'll cut to the chase.. Tony was awesome, we immediately felt comfortable with him, no pressure at all. Dale worked with my not so perfect credit and got me a better rate than I thought possible, and Adam who we signed all the paperwork with at the end was super friendly and really made us feel at home. I will absolutely be buying from them again. I have also recommended many friends to this dealership. Very happy customer here. read more

Upon a recommendation from my father in law, we went to Ron Tonkin off Burnside. My husband and I were looking for a newer reliable car, and after recently coming out of a bankruptcy we wanted to build our credit back up with a vehicle. Jason Gomes went above and beyond our expectations to help us find something perfect! He was so kind and patient, and listened to all our concerns! If you are looking for a nice car and most importantly, a salesman and company who genuinely cares about you, then don't go anywhere else but here! read more

These guys are exceptional! I walked in with no expectations and though my requests were very specific they accommodated me and made it happen. I traded my car in with 90,000 miles and they worked their magic to pair me in a new 2017 Hyundai Tuscon in a plan that fit within my budget. Maverick and Harry were my angels! I'm certain that all the customer service is just as superior to other dealers I have tried. My standards are high as I have been loyal to my dealer in Vermont for many years and when I moved back to Oregon I have looked for my forever car home. Ron Tonkin Hyundai now has my loyalty as long as I am in Oregon. I am already referring them to my family members and I trust they will receive the same fabulous treatment. Thanks guys!! read more
