We are pizza people and are so excited Romeo's came to town. We ordered the Butcher Shop with full meat and the Great Ranch & Potato specialty pizzas. The Butcher Shop sauce was on point. We really enjoyed the unique flavor of the Ranch & Potato pizza. Where else can you get a pizza with ranch slivered almonds on top?! The pizza was full of flavor and we enjoyed the contrasting texture of the sautéed onions with the crunch of the almonds. We'll definitely return and next time we look forward to ordering cinnamon sticks! On a side note--we love cold pizza too. We got the Chicago deep dish - the ingredients are good quality, crust is good, cheese blend is fine, toppings good, tomatoes fresh and bright - but the sauce is just too darned sweet for our palate. This pizza place is the best. During my time of visiting NC I came across Romeo's pizza, and I just have to say it's AMAZING! The owner Berry was so helpful and so nice helping us with our order. The staff is so nice especially Brenden! I brought my daughter in and she ran right to him. So of course I had to take a picture. But that's not even the best part... the food is absolutely delicious and with little to no wait. It's even better because before you leave they check your order right in front of you to make sure you're not missing anything. It's been awhile since I ordered Pizza here, and just like last time they did not disappoint! I was running a little late picking up, but when I arrived not only was I welcomed with a big hello, but my pizza was hot and well done just the way I like it. My teens were super happy with the quantity of pepperoni on the pizza. Seriously, can't say anyone else loads up the pizza the way Romeos does. THe pizzas were well received by 6 hunger teenagers. Heard there was a new pizza place in town and had to check it out. SO glad we did! My boyfriend had the thin crust "butcher shop" specialty pizza, it looked & smelled amazing. I'm more of a "plain jane" & went for an original crust pepperoni. We were going to get smalls, but with the deal they have going on right now (medium one topping for $6.99) it was even cheaper to get the bigger size & I'm glad we did, because we both are THE WHOLE THING :P the crust, the cheese, the sauce, everything about this pizza was absolutely amazing. Got the margarita tonight. Crust is really good but otherwise underwhelmed by the flavor considering the price. I thought the pesto basil would be a nice touch but it was very bland and could hardly taste. This might be due to the sauce being very sweet and they put a lot on the pizza. Romeo's like some have posted here is new to the Apex area and they were hanging coupon fliers on doors in our neighborhood so we decided to try their pies. They are bit more expensive than other chains in the area but the quality of the pizza was better. The only exception for me was the sauce. It is by far the sweetest sauce I've had on a pizza and for both my son and I was a disappointment. However, both my wife and daughter thought it was the best pizza they'd had in a long time. So we have a split household, my son and I have no desire to try Romeo's again but my wife and daughter prefer it. read more

We celebrated purchasing a new car today at Romeos. The icing on the cake to a great day was our selection of the Ranch Potato pizza. Very unique flavors and well balanced for the best taste. The crust was perfect for me and firm enough to not flop when trying to eat the whole slice. The staff was very informative and friendly. The service was top notch. Went there for the first time this past weekend. Ordered a medium pizza for take out. Drove home to share it with my wife for dinner. Dry as a bone pizza cut into rectangles and other assorted shapes is not my idea of finger lickin' good. The cheese was not pliable and stringy, but sat like a plastic slab atop the tasteless sauce and supermarket crust. I am sticking with mom and pop from now on. Ordered last night for second try. We are from Chicago and very fond of deep dish pizza--previously unavailable here in Apex. We don't mind the sweet sauce, many in our crowd prefer it, but the crust from Romeo, alas, is a major problem. Last night it wasn't fully cooked, and raw dough isn't appealing. Know what you are getting into. Romeo's has no seating whatsoever but they will tell you they "share" seating with another location in the same strip mall. It seemed strange but I decided to give it a try. Well, the other location is a beer shop who require you to make a purchase to stay. Romeos doesn't sell slices at lunch time either.
