The best question to ask a reference is: "would you hire them again in the future?" I first hired Daniel to re-tile my master bath after it was installed incorrectly by a different contractor. He did a fantastic job with that so I then hired him again for our kitchen remodel. Daniel handled the cabinet install, plumbing, and tile install himself. He recommended and arranged the electrician and the drywall/painter: I paid those folks directly but he clearly has great working relationships with them- everybody showed up when needed. Daniel is a dedicated craftsman- he has a terrific attention to detail. He cares to do things right and not cut corners. He always let me know when he expected to arrive each morning and left the job site as clean as could be at the end of each work day. I plan to have him back to remodel our guest bathroom. Just FYI, I'm not related to him or have any vested interest in this- he's just a great person to work with. read more

Daniel Romeo has done a couple projects for us, and is my hands-down choice for tile and stone work. He is an absolute perfectionist. His work is impeccable, and his integrity is unmatched. He listens to me, and is a pleasure to work with. Having mastered tile work, he is branching out into other areas of craftsmanship, particularly woodworking. He expertly tiled our new fireplace surround, and created a beautiful cherry mantel for it. The end result was exactly what I had envisioned, and I absolutely love it! As we do other remodeling projects, Daniel's artistry will definitely be included in them. read more

We had our brick fireplace retiled with a porcelain tile. Soon after it was finished, I realized that I hated the tile! Oh no! The look was just too busy for our home. I contacted the installer to see if we could hire him again to replace the tiles with a travertine. He was hesitant, saying that he would have to remove the tiles, and it would be impossible to put new tile over the porcelain tile. He said it would be a very messy process and didn't seem too excited about doing it! I decided to call some other companies to explore other opinions. We were in the process of having built-ins installed on either side of the fireplace so weren't super concerned if the depth of the fireplace was slightly more due to the additional tile. I contacted Daniel and I appreciated his communicativeness via email. He came out and looked at our fireplace and gave me a bid. He said it would not be problem to install travertine over the porcelain. He was helpful in telling me the appropriate amount of tile to order. Soon after, Daniel installed the tile. The install went well and our fireplace looks amazing! Daniel and his helper were professional and very clean in our house. I am so happy we didn't have to deal with the mess and expense of having to remove the old tile. We will be calling him for future tile needs and recommend you do the same! read more

We were selling our house in Danville and the main second story tiled patio had dry rot. This is a 500 sq foot patio with rod iron railing, stucco sides and stairs going down to the lower deck. Out of 5 general contractors and tile contractors, two never called back, two came out and would not do the job and then there was Daniel. He called me back within the hour and showed up at my house two hours later. The job was complicated with hidden areas that turned out to have significant dry rot. He took the job based on time and materials. Bottom line is: He did what he said he would do. He was committed to a quality result and a satisfied customer every step of the way- and things got very challenging during the course of this large scale demolition and rebuild. His sub contractors were outstanding and he managed them perfectly. The tile job is literally a work of art. Beautiful. His integrity around pricing was impeccable and the whole job came in at a price that was more than fair. The result: the patio is the most solid, well built, water proof and beautiful as it has ever been. The people who bought my home are thrilled. My only disappointment is that I didn't meet Daniel many years ago. read more

We hired Daniel Romeo to retile one of our bathrooms before moving into our new house, but ended up hiring him for all sorts of extra projects as well. Daniel is very hardworking and responsive. He kept in regular contact about when work would be completed and even works weekends to make sure our big project was done in time to move in. Daniel came back two times to make sure all the work was completed to his satisfaction as he is a bit of a perfectionist. The bathroom turned out beautifully! Once the bathroom was retiled, our plumber left us hanging with the bathtub installation. Daniel stepped in and got the job done for us as well as help with removing a dishwasher stuck in our kitchen counter. He really came through and helped us out when we were in a bind. We will definitely be calling Daniel back for any of our future home repair/remodeling needs. read more

This review is long overdue. Daniel is a rockstar! We were converting our old house into a rental and had to get the property updated on a very tight deadline and budget. Daniel took on our project and delivered as promised. We ran into many many unexpected issues and hiccups along the way, there were a few heated conversations because everyone was under a lot of stress but in the end, the project turned out great. We were able to move in our tenants right on schedule. Since he was busy with other projects, Daniel also introduced us to a talented father-son duo David and Miles, who did a fantastic job tiling our bathrooms. Made me wish we still lived there. Bottom line, I would highly recommend Daniel and his team. read more

We had Daniel come in and tile our master bathroom floor and shower. We have a 300 sq ft bathroom so it was a lot of space. I can't say enough on how pleased I am on how everything looks. I am extremely happy with the work. He is a true artist in his work and his attention to detail is exceptional. Daniel made sure that everything was to my satisfaction and got back to me on any questions that I may have had about the work. He cleaned up after himself and worked with me regarding my schedule. I highly recommend Daniel to anyone looking to have tile work done. I have already recommended him to some of my friends. When I have more tiling work to be done, Daniel will be the first person I call. read more

We would give Daniel 10 stars if we could! We interviewed contractors for over a year for our master bath remodel and knew as soon as we met him that he was our guy. He brought great ideas that made the design better. His work is impeccable. He stands behind his word. And, he is such a great guy. We've never felt such a sense of trust in a contractor before. He is the absolute best and we can't wait to work with him again! read more

We hired Danial to tile our kitchen floor. After reading all the great things about him and seeing all of the pictures from previous jobs I gave him a call. He came over to our house the next morning to go over the job and by the end of the day we had our quote. Just listening to Daniel talk about what his ideas were for the floor definitely made me feel confident that he was going to do a great job. I never felt like he was telling me what I wanted to hear just to get the job. He spent time setting up different patterns for us to choose from and explained the pros and cons to each. We actually went away from what we had originally wanted and went with a layout that he suggested and it looks awesome! Our sub-floor was far from perfect so I knew there was going to be some challenges but it didn't phase him at all. All and all it was a great experience working with Daniel. His work is amazing. He's such a perfectionist. Often times when I hire someone to do a job there is always something I end up doing just because I'm a bit of a perfectionist as well. But when he left it was done and perfect. I would definitely recommend Danial to anyone I know who needs tile work done. And if in the future I need more work done he's my guy. I wouldn't even put it out to bid. read more

Daniel Romeo is a perfectionist. Over the last 7 years we've had Daniel and his crew at our house 3 times updating each of our bathrooms. His work is second to none! In addition to doing excellent work, Daniel and his crew arrive on time, work a full day, always clean up after themselves and give great recommendations if you're having difficulty making decisions. I would highly recommend Romeo Tile & Stone for any size project! read more

Daniel is quite a find! He remodeled my master bath, and as other reviewers have mentioned, he is a master craftsman, highly knowledgeable, detail oriented, and takes pride in his work. On top of that, he is honest and dependable. After talking to other contractors, Daniel stood out as someone who really cares about the quality of his work and customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend Daniel to anyone who is looking for a top-notch contractor for tile and remodeling work. read more

I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel. I had beautiful 20 inch tiles installed that had a lot of lipage. Daniel was recommended as an expert tile installer. Daniel fit me into his busy schedule and sent his crew out to fix my floor and relay my tile floor. They did a fantastic job. In fact I am having Daniel and his workers come back to do my back splash. Daniel takes pride in his work and does an excellent job in order for his clients to be overjoyed with the end result read more

Daniel did a wonderful job with our bathroom improvement. He was on time daily, kept us apprised of what work would be done, insured our improvements were top quality and gave us competitive pricing with great quality. Daniel used his experience to help us change our mind and select a better tile than what we originally chose. He is very detailed, listens closely and easy to work with. Most importantly, all "dirty" work was done outside, even though the workers had to constantly go up and down the stairs. Clean up was thorough daily. We can only give high stars and recommend Daniel to anyone looking for a reliable professional. read more

Romeo Tile and Stone recently completed the installation of new tiles in our shower. From the demo to the completion, Daniel and his team were professional, accommodating and willing to explain every detail of our project. At the end of every day, his workers would make sure everything was cleaned and wiped down. There's not many company's that will go to this extent. Daniel's main goal was to make sure the job was done correctly and we were pleased with the results. We are completely satisfied with our new shower and would not hesitate to recommend Daniel and his team of craftsmen. Job well done! read more

We hired Dan to put in a floor and glass tiles around our fireplace. He is a perfectionist!!! I read the reviews on Dan before hiring him hiring to do the job and all the reviews were spot on! He really is an artist! I am a perfectionist myself so I tend to be very critical and I honestly couldn't find a thing to be critical of! He did an awesome job for us and we couldn't be happier. He is a very personable person and very easy to be around. I typically hate having work done in my home and having strangers coming and going, but Dan was like a friend you have known for a long time, so it was a pleasure to have him coming everyday! We aren't done with him yet though as I have found more projects for him. He will be coming back in three weeks to install a kitchen backsplash for us and we have upcoming plans for him to put in a shower. I might add while I always check Yelp before hiring someone I very seldom take the time to write a review. I only do so when I feel that the work was above and beyond my expectations, as they clearly were! My only worry is with all these great reviews Dan will become so busy I will have to wait longer for him, but trust me it will be worth the wait! Thanks Dan for making our home look amazing!! read more

Daniel and his crew did a large tile removal and installation in my home this summer and I could not be more pleased with the process from start to finish. He came highly recommended by another person in the construction industry who felt I would be impressed with his work. Daniel has great communication, returning calls promptly and touching base about timelines, etc...He helped me find the tile I was looking for and arranged for us to see a former customer's work. We went on vacation while his crew removed all the existing tile in our house. This was a great decision and Daniel even sent pictures via text to keep us informed of the progress. We were home for the tile installation which was quite a large crew. But they could not have been more accommodating to my family. They were always prompt and courteous and they were truly craftsmen. When Daniel completed the project, I was 100% satisfied, this could not have been a better experience and I would not hesitate to recommend him. read more
