I had one of the easiest car-buying experiences I've ever had at Romcar, and a big part of that was Art. He was friendly, easy to talk to, never pushy, and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. He answered all of my questions honestly and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. The pricing was fair, and I felt like I received excellent value for the vehicle I purchased. What really stood out was the trust Romcar and Art placed in their customers--it made the experience feel honest, transparent, and stress-free. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. I would absolutely recommend Romcar, especially Art, to my family and friends. If you're looking for a hassle-free car-buying experience with fair pricing and outstanding customer service, this is the place to go! read more

We needed to purchase a specific hybrid (the previous one we had was totaled because someone ran a red light and hit us!) and this particular car is needed for my husbands work because the car's backseat goes all the way down flat to load items. Not many cars do that nowadays thats a hybrid~Most go 60/40 Searching online, we found one at Romcar that looked decent and had the mileage range we were looking for. I called to verify if the vehicle was still available at their lot, Art immediately and politely confirmed yes! We trekked over and noticed how he already pulled out the car in question ready for us to view which was a positive thumbs up on our end because we were busy Sunday viewing multiple places. We met Art and he listened to our situation, our concerns, and answered any of our questions and let us test drive it with thorough instructions on the route! One thing I appreciate since I have a weird anxiety purchasing used cars.....was that Art was quick, nice, and RESPSECTED our space. He gave us time to think about it and ....well....my husband went back the next day and purchased it! I asked my husband how the transaction went, and Art went above and beyond to help him out! Art even noticed something that needed to be quickly fixed on the car and he took care of that honestly and quickly. Thumbs up to a positive experience and building up trust with clients! I would definitely work with Art again at Romcar! read more

I am extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. I purchased my car and continued making my payments as agreed, only to start experiencing serious issues with the vehicle around a year later, right as the warranty had expired. The car began having major transmission and electrical problems. I have now had to deal with battery/electrical issues, the vehicle shutting off after it gets hot, and possible serious transmission problems. This is especially frustrating because I am STILL making payments on this vehicle. I understand that used cars can have issues, but the timing and severity of these problems have left me feeling completely played and taken advantage of. I purchased a vehicle expecting it to be reliable--not to be dealing with thousands of dollars in potential repairs shortly after the warranty ended. This experience has been stressful, financially draining, and extremely disappointing. I truly wish I had done more research and taken my business elsewhere. I would strongly recommend that anyone purchasing a vehicle here get a thorough independent inspection and carefully review the warranty coverage and expiration date before signing anything. Based on my experience, I would not purchase another vehicle from this dealership. And will be filing a lemon law suit ! read more

I found the car we wanted to buy here on CarGurus, and contacted ROMCAR to get info. Their communication was excellent and straightforward. We had been to two different dealers, one who jacked up the price $4000 for add ons and another $8000! So when I called ROMCAR I was pessimistic a straightforward used car dealer existed. We drove up from San Diego on Monday to see the car we had an OTD price on via text. We saw the car, noticed a few things off, like a broken scroll wheel, they replaced it while the paperwork was being done and we walked out with a great car at a great price. I highly recommend. read more

I had been searching for a vehicle for a relative and visited several dealerships before finding ROMCAR. Unfortunately, many of the other dealerships were not upfront about their pricing and tried to add mandatory fees and add-ons that significantly increased the cost. Working with Art was a completely different experience. From the very beginning, he was kind, patient, transparent, and incredibly helpful, even though he was extremely busy. He provided the full out-the-door price upfront with no hidden fees or surprises, which I really appreciated. The vehicle I purchased ended up being newer, had lower mileage, was in better condition, and was more affordable than the other vehicles I had looked at. The entire process was straightforward and stress-free because of Art's honesty and professionalism. I'm so glad I decided to purchase from ROMCAR. I highly recommend working with Art. Thank you for making what had been a frustrating car search such a positive experience! read more

Romcar was an unexpected surprise! This used car lot has a wonderful selection for fair pricing. The staff and Mechanic on site are helpful and go beyond for their customers. I was scoping out a car that had more miles on it than I would have liked so I asked the owner if someone could drop it off at a local dealership for a Inspection and they took care of that for me. The inspection came back, nearly flawlessly and I bought the car a couple days later. I was a little concerned on how to pick it up because I live in south Orange County, but I took the train straight to the city of commerce and it was easy. Special thanks to Roman for his impeccable, communication and friendliness. read more

Romcar - Happy with purchase - Used Car Dealers Near Me - Commerce, California

UNETHICAL EXPERIENCE: CREDIT RUN, NO COMMUNICATION, CAR SOLD WITHOUT NOTICE I recently attempted to purchase a vehicle from Romcar, and my experience was extremely disappointing. After we agreed on an Out‑the‑Door price, the dealership had me complete a full credit application. They ran a hard inquiry on my credit -- something no buyer takes lightly -- and I moved forward in good faith. I even scheduled an independent pre‑purchase inspection to verify the condition of the vehicle. After that point, communication from the dealership completely stopped. I sent multiple emails and texts over several days asking for basic updates on transport, documentation, and next steps. I received no response at all. Today, I learned from the inspection company that the vehicle had been sold to someone else before they could even perform the inspection. The dealership never notified me the car was no longer available, despite having my credit information, my inspection appointment, and my ongoing communication. This is not how a professional dealership operates. Running a buyer's credit, agreeing to terms, and then disappearing while selling the car to someone else is unacceptable. A simple message letting me know the vehicle was sold would have prevented wasted time, money, and stress. I will be filing formal complaints with the appropriate consumer agencies so this pattern is documented. To future buyers: Be cautious before allowing this dealership to run your credit or assuming they will honor a negotiated agreement. My experience shows that communication and transparency are not their priority. read more

Think twice before choosing this dealership as your go to. I purchase a car this past January 2026. Art was great in the beginning, bought the car, then hell broke loose. There was little information that was given to me until I took the car to my mechanic. Come to find out, there is so many problems with the car. In good faith, Art and his team did not warn me ahead of time any major issues. It cost me another few thousand dollars to get parts fixed. read more

I found the car I was looking for at this dealership at a price I found fair. From the beginning communication was immediate and direct. I didn't feel the usual car dealer tricks were being used on me and didn't feel pressured to buy immediately. Stan whom I mostly delt with even suggested I book a pre-inspection of my vehicle before buying - which yielded in some fixes that the dealer took care of before collecting my car. Would consider coming back there in a heartbeat. read more
