    Bacon & Blue Burger

So, Romans is a nice homegrown spot in Downtown Asheville. I decided to order the blue cheese bacon burger and it did not disappoint! The service was nice and chill...definitely a hippy vibe. I ordered a side of fruit to take home with me and a coke. I would give Romans another try for sure.

On-line ordering was easy. The sandwiches are made with high quality ingredients but are on the pricier side given the portion size, which isn't huge. The side salads that come with the sandwiches were quite small in portion. The pasta salad was vinegar based tasting and was just ok. The potato was quite good. The fruit salad was fresh and included clementine, pineapple, and strawberry. The chicken salad is served hot and was the best of the three we ordered - Italian, chicken salad, and turkey cranberry pesto.

Had an impossible burger from here today and it was a total delight. Got it to go and the whole order was packed with care. The burger was hot and delicious and well seasoned. Highly recommend. The bun was not whole wheat but was fluffy. Great stuff on it too- the whole PLOT felt quality. Added cheddar and yum. The side of fruit was fresh and good but tiny. Like really tiny. Like two strawberries and two orange slices tiny.

1/29/2020- Wow small Little place with a big punch very nice menu. I got a bacon Swiss cheeseburger. The burgers shoes sorry I ate too fast came with a nice cold sore no vinegar that I can taste they don't have french fries no fryer the burger came with a pickle. Nicest thing is the packaging it's not Styrofoam or plastic it's cardboard , nice touch There's about 7-8 tables and it was busy.

The overall experience was just meh, but the BBQ burger was spot on. I don't even have a picture because we ate it so fast. The Italian was made Panini style and because the bread was thin and there was tomato and dressing it causes the meat to leave the bread when you bite. The pasta salad was okay, but bland. Now, I don't use cream in my white chicken chili and I'm not sure what other people do, but I didn't enjoy it at this place because of the amount of cream. The bottled soda was delish.

Oh how I love Roman's, but hate the the prices. I ordered a large salad this week, the key word is large! For the large salad and a drink it cost me a cool $24, which seems insane even for Asheville. The worst part is that my salad was shoved and stuffed into a half size to go box pictured here. If you are going to charge $20 bucks for a large salad it should come in a regular size "large" go box like all normal restaurants have.

This is a cute little deli to grab a sandwich and a salad with a great front porch for eating right in downtown. Great service too!

Superior deli, superior ingredients. Lunch can be crowded, so I go at noon or even a bit earlier. Prices have gone up like everywhere.

I think everything is made in house and it tastes like it. As their name states, they make gourmet potato chips with varying, over-the-top flavors ranging from salt and balsamic vinegar to ones topped with brown sugar, bacon and chocolate. Between the 12 of us we tried Salt & Vinegar, The Corsica, Southern BBQ and The Italiano. I had the Italiano Panini and The Nori chips. Both were totally delicious. The panini came out hot and gooey. The bread tasted great and the chips were so unique and surprising. I will say that they drizzled a little too much red chili aioli sauce. It was very thick and flavorful. However, after a few bites it was too much so I wiped off some of the sauce. But it was really good, and inventive. Everything is fresh and made to order so it did take us a while to get all of our food, given that we were a large group. They told us before we even sat and we still wanted to try it, so that no big deal. And I will say this. Our table was the last to get served and the food was amazing. Sometimes at restaurants the standards fall when they get busy and that DID NOT happen here. They served great dish after great dish. Bags of chips are available for purchase as well. I'm totally kicking myself that I didn't get some to take home. Gourmet Chip is an Asheville gem!

I wanted a good brunch spot before exploring Asheville. I found Flour and read the reviews…read more According to the reviews, the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit was a must-try because of how delicious and crispy the biscuit was. I wanted to see for myself how delicious this biscuit was, and I agree with the reviews. This biscuit combo was delicious! I loved how the top of the biscuit was crispy while the inside was fluffy and tasty. The biscuit wasn't dry, and the bacon was delicious with the melted cheese and egg. The potatoes were also delicious and crispy, especially with the aioli. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I received my order quickly, within 5 minutes. I will definitely come back to Flour when I visit Asheville again!

I don't think I have ever had a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit that tasted this good. The biscuit itself was excellent, and the whole sandwich really stood out. The guy taking my order was very nice. It was a slow morning, so there was plenty of seating both inside and outside. Overall, the place had a relaxed, chill vibe. I could easily see myself hanging out for a while, catching up on work while drinking coffee. I was also impressed when the chef who delivered the food later came back out to ask if everything was okay. I really appreciated that it did not come off as a routine question, but rather a genuine one. Overall, this was a great stop, and I am glad I made the effort to check it out.
