I got an Italian sandwich (consisting of smoked ham, hot capicola, hard salami, vine ripe tomato, red onion, pepperoncini, organic spring mix, fresh herb vinaigrette and mayo) on GF bread with no provolone, alongside potato salad. The potato salad was a little cold for my liking, but well seasoned. Had an impossible burger from here today and it was a total delight. Got it to go and the whole order was packed with care. The burger was hot and delicious and well seasoned. Highly recommend. 1/29/2020- Wow small Little place with a big punch very nice menu. I got a bacon Swiss cheeseburger. The burgers shoes sorry I ate too fast came with a nice cold sore no vinegar that I can taste they don't have french fries no fryer the burger came with a pickle. The overall experience was just meh, but the BBQ burger was spot on. I don't even have a picture because we ate it so fast. The Italian was made Panini style and because the bread was thin and there was tomato and dressing it causes the meat to leave the bread when you bite. The pasta salad was okay, but bland. Now, I don't use cream in my white chicken chili and I'm not sure what other people do, but I didn't enjoy it at this place because of the amount of cream. The bottled soda was delish. read more

Oh how I love Roman's, but hate the the prices. I ordered a large salad this week, the key word is large! For the large salad and a drink it cost me a cool $24, which seems insane even for Asheville. The worst part is that my salad was shoved and stuffed into a half size to go box pictured here. Excellent Veggie burger that stands out from other veggie burgers. This one is clearly homemade with actual black beans and lentils. The burger is also loaded with red onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and a special sauce. Fantastic sandwich even though it was on the pricey side. Lunchtime gem right in the heart of downtown Asheville! Walk-up counter service, once you have completed they give you a table marker and you find your own seating...great outdoor space for a quick lunch with a cold local brew in the sunshine, Lots of counter space in both front windows and at the deli counter itself. I love all the sides are made in house with the exception of the kettle chips(Deep River Snacks brand) and love the awesome selection of locally produced beverages. They make a great burger, Italian sandwich, and today they had the most incredible "Ahi Tuna" sandwich...seared to perfection with goat cheese, caramelized onions, spring mix all on a delicious bun. This sandwich is by far the best "fish" sandwich in town and I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hope they decide to keep it as a daily special each and ever week or better yet a full fledged menu item for the long haul. This review is for the bacon avocado caprese which my very picky wife claims is the best sandwich she's ever had that she didn't make herself. I can't stress enough how high praise this is coming from her. She said it was the perfect sandwich - everything layered evenly, bread toasted well, and bacon perfectly crispy, fresh moz, and actually ripe avocado. I had a solid lunch at Roman's yesterday. I went with the BBQ Bacon burger and it was darn good. One of the best I've had in town. For my side I went with the kettle chips and they were good but I was under the impression that they were house made. Instead they were just chips in a bag. My major complaint is that I felt Roman's was really pricey for what I got. It costs about $13 (with a small tip) or so to get a burger and bag of chips. The burgers come with a pickle spear but I don't like pickles and there isn't anything you can substitute for it. I feel like you should get two sides for that kind of money. The burgers also come on a whole wheat bun, which is great but I prefer white. Anyway, the food was great but you're certainly paying a premium for it. read more

The staff here is great. Nothing but praise there. I stopped in today (about 2) because I was craving a burger and wanted to try someplace that I haven't tried yet. The burger was good but in a just OK kind of good. I ordered the deluxe without the red onion but with white cheddar. I didn't specify temperature, or at least don't remember doing so. I am a medium rare guy. My burger was cooked to north of medium, closer to well. I felt that their choices of beer on tap were well thought out. I will go back, but not for the burger. read more
