The concept of the restaurant is totally relatable for my Italian American family and I find it very funny - cannot wait to bring them in here to try. All staff were super nice. We did the happy hour menu - we ordered the fried calamari, which I do not like but wanted to try, and it was delicious! Along with the fuego sauce. It was crispy and not chewy at all. Also ordered the beef sliders on brioche buns. They were tasy as well! We also got the pork belly - tostones, red onion, tomato, cilantro, and lime juice . I personally did not enjoy this, but my bestie's did. We had such a great time and will definitely be back for a nice dinner.

Barcelona was good, it has the potential to be great!…read more I've dined here a few times and every time the service is fantastic. The severs are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The general manager came around to introduce themselves and personally ask how the meal is and if they can be of any service which is always a very nice touch. The ambiance has a moody wine bar feel to the front half of the space and the main dining rooms are located in the back. Very nice and inviting. However the dining rooms are pretty packed with tables so it tends to get very loud. The food is good but often times inconsistent. For example the lamb chop I have had in the past was delicious, and during this visit it was lacking flavor. The meatballs were not my favorite in a previous visit but this most recent time they were absolutely delicious. Also pictured is the chicken thigh, and pork belly. The chicken thigh was plain but I think that's the point, it was cooked great. The pork belly was very yummy, I loved the lime/cilantro sauce it came with. We also ordered the half size parrillada done medium well. Aspects of this dish were good like the steak, others like the chicken and the chorizo were juicy and soo delicious. The pork chop lacked flavor and was very tough. The leeks were very tasty and the croquettes are always good! I am sure I will be back to Barcelona soon. I'm excited to explore their large selection of charcuteries!

My experience with this restaurant was so consistently unpleasant that I would not return under any…read morecircumstances. We first attempted to dine here several years ago after making a reservation. Upon arrival, the parking lot was packed and chaotic, with numerous drivers seemingly unable to navigate the lot in an orderly manner. Rather than deal with the situation, we left and went somewhere else. Fast-forward to August 18, 2026. We were invited to a group prix-fixe dinner here, so avoiding the restaurant was not really an option. Unfortunately, the evening confirmed that our first decision to leave had been the correct one. I arrived at approximately 6:00 p.m. and pulled into the only available parking space. Another patron immediately began aggressively honking his horn. After I parked and got out, I asked what his problem was. He said he was concerned I was going to hit his vehicle, notwithstanding the fact that I was parked approximately four feet away from it. Another person then inserted herself into an interaction that did not involve her. I addressed that and moved on. I will leave the commentary about the clientele there, except to say that the atmosphere outside the restaurant was an unpleasant preview of the evening. The restaurant itself is apparently regarded as acclaimed. Based on what I was served, I cannot understand why. The opening meat and cheese board appeared dried out, as though it had been sitting uncovered for an extended period. The olives were submerged in what tasted indistinguishable from jarred giardiniera-style pickled vegetables. If the preparation was house-made, it nevertheless replicated the flavor and texture of a commercial jarred product remarkably well. The olives themselves were poor. Next came a fried cheese-filled ball that was extraordinarily greasy, to the point that oil was visibly running onto the plate. It was unpleasant to eat. The lettuce course again incorporated what appeared to be the same giardiniera-style pickled vegetables, adding little beyond repetition. The main course was paella with clams, shrimp, and baby octopus. The clams were overcooked. The shrimp tasted, in my opinion, as though they should never have been served. The rice was dry and crusted rather than properly cooked and integrated into the dish. A separate carving board was no better. The chicken was among the driest I have ever been served. The sausage was overcooked. The steak was both greasy and overcooked. There was no point during the main course at which I thought the food approached the reputation this restaurant apparently enjoys. I have eaten at many restaurants in Fairfield, and this was, without qualification, the worst meal I have personally had here. A restaurant that trades on an acclaimed reputation should be capable of executing basic food preparation competently. On August 18, 2026, this restaurant did not. The food was dry, greasy, overcooked, repetitive, and deeply disappointing from beginning to end. The worst part of the evening if all that was experienced, wasn't bad enough; was at the room was filled with flies that were buzzing all around that you had to wave away from the food while you were trying to eat. One star. Based strictly on my experience, even that feels generous.

The interior of this place is incredibly beautiful and so inviting. I sat at the bar and saw many items on the menu that looked so good. I was in the mood for seafood and really wanted their zuppa di pesce but didn't want a whole portion because I know I wouldn't be able to finish it. The bartender told me that I could order a half order which was incredibly exciting. I checked out the rest of the venue and the outdoor area in the back which was kind of magical. I tried a few mocktails, they were good, the coconut one was best. The dish I ordered was delicious, as well as the bread served with olive oil that had roasted garlic in it. I loved everything about this experience. I learned that they have an all you can eat buffet every Sunday for only 40 dollar. Can't wait to try it. Thank you Osteria!

Can't imagine if we multiplied that by any additional tables. I just want to bring up the bread. Such a wasted opportunity to serve something so inexpensive that has such an impact on the overall experience. The bread is bafflingly bad. It's dry, and hard and tastes like nothing. The garlic infused oil that should improve the old stale bread is served with the hard skin still on the garlic. That's not edible and it's also not easy to remove once it's all mixed together. A small complaint about the lasagna. It's mostly cheese and very difficult to find any pasta among the soupy cheese and tomatoes. The taste is good but it's a bit of a rip off to serve something like lasagna with one or maybe two layers. The chicken parm was still delicious as was the polenta appetizer. Service was friendly and prompt. If they could just fix the bread and garlic situation and maybe bulk up the lasagna with some noodles, we'd be back.

If it's your thing, you'd enjoy it here but I want ALLLLL the pizzas! The Friday Shrimp Pie Specials, the Summer Pie (DON'T MISS THIS), tasted like some great New Haven style pizza with delicious sauce and thin crust and fresh high quality ingredients. I was in heaven!
