Completely unreliable. One time ordered for pick up and it took over 2 hours. 1 hour above what they told me it would be. Tonight ordered through DoorDash at 5:49. Received a 50 minute time till delivery. 7p rolled around i messaged my DoorDasher who was waiting at the restaurant. She said she checked in on my order and they said 20 minutes. Suddenly at 7:26 my order was CANCELLED. This was not a DoorDash issue my driver indicated the restaurant was aware of my order but they were "busy". Never ordering again. It's too over priced and can't trust my order will be made yet alone timely. Thanks for leaving me hangry almost 2 hours later. read more

This place is truly a gem in Trumbull,CT! I hadn't seen one of my best friends in awhile so we decided to meet up for lunch at Romanacci since it was the midpoint for us and we had such an awesome time here! Absolutely loved the décor of the place and the feeling that you get the second you walk in. We sat at one of the high tables and immediately looked at their wine list of course and decided to go with a bottle of Pinot Grigio. The wine was sooooo incredibly good and I should have asked if the wine was something created by the owners since the label mentioned the Ricci Brothers so perhaps next time I'll see if there is a story to the wine we got. But for appetizers we got the Calamari and for our entrée, she got the Schiaffoni Sorrentina which was jumbo rigatoni pasta with sautéed eggplant in marinara sauce topped with melted mozzarella and I went with one of the specials for the day. It was campanelle pasta with salmon, asparagus, white beans and tomatoes. The Calamari was okay since it lacked crispiness but the entrees definitely made up for it! The presentation of both dishes really set the tone for the yumminess that we were about the experience! My dish had amazing flavor and need to say her Schiaffoni was so incredibly good. Really authentic and homey. And paired with the white wine, we were in heaven! We actually ended up staying a bit after our meal so we ordered another bottle of white wine and the waiter was nice enough to bring us some cookies! Great restaurant!! My daughter goes to college in Fairfield and wanted to try this restaurant yesterday on our way home. Glad I said let's go. Nothing flashy or fancy, but a very nice place. Menu is great, authentic Italian through and through. The food is really good.....what more can I say. Service was great from beginning to end. I will definitely be back. I've been going to the Norwalk location for the last maybe four/five years and have always been pleasantly surprised by how delicious the pizza is. Recently I moved up north and the Trumbull location is the closest for me. I recently tried their pasta for the first time and was so amazed by how good it was! I had the ravioli while my partner had the lasagne, both were delicious. No matter what you get for dessert - Crepes, cookies, cannolis - I can tell you they all are delicious.The Romanacci cappuccino is a must have if you love Nutella and have a sweet tooth like me. read more

Very much enjoyed a dinner with friends a couple of weeks ago. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Waitstaff was prompt and professional. My husband had the paperdelle with bolognese and I had the cavatella alla norma and both were thoroughly delicious. We started with fried calamari, which was tender and tasty. Stopped at this place on a Saturday at around 4:30pm on my way up to a wedding in Woodbridge. I yelped restaurants and two of my favorite things popped up, wine and pizza! We had a few glasses of wine. We had fried mozzarella as an appetizer. The waiter was incredibly polite. He told us the special which was a lobster pizza and I'm glad that he suggested it. When you can rely on a restaurant to always have delicious fresh, perfectly cooked food --each time, no matter what you pick from the menu. THAT is excellence, and Romanacci has this. I've been here a couple times with my coworkers and we've always enjoyed their wine, pizza, and crepes. I've tried the white pizza with mushroom, truffle oil (Tartufo) and the red sauce with calabria peppers, hot sopressata, spicy oil, and shredded mozzarella (Piccante). Both were very good. My coworker tried one of their specials (lobster ravioli with vegetables in a white wine sauce) but was not a fan of the combination. We have had their dessert as well - their strawberry & nutella crepe is very good. For a bigger group, they also had some good appetizers to share. We tried their fried ravioli, croquettes, and a salad. Overall, we had a great experience and enjoyed their wine choices as well. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. A soon as you get in there is a display case with baked goods which immediately get you thinking about desert before you even order your meal. The decor is somewhat industrial rustic with high ceilings and exposed wood beams. Mario took care of us as we were seated and ready to order. We ordered two Sangrias which were delicious along with a cheese and cured meats which was as expected-good. For our entrees we had a personal size Margherita pizza and the lasagna. The pizza was good but the lasagna was out of this world. The lasagna could have passed for Mom's lasagna, it was that good. As I mentioned earlier, although I was pretty full I had to have desert, we ordered the apple-cinnamon turnover. It was served warm and was delicious. The only thing which would have made it better was a scoop of ice cream. Obviously we will have a return trip to try other items on the menu. read more

Something seems to have gone terribly wrong with their pizza. Just finished a slice of chicken margarita and man, I think I could have done better at Dominoes. Mushy and tasteless all for the robust price of $38. I don't mind paying good money for food, but this was just awful. Excellent pizza. Probably second best in Trumbull. Pizzas are enormous and it's slightly above average cost. You won't care if you walk away with their cannolis also. We hit them up at least twice a month. Worth it. The physical location is nice and the service is good. Glad to have them in Trumbull. The westport location is solid as well. Worth a try. read more

I have never written a review before, but I was simply staggered by the complete lack of any flavor whatsoever in the food at this establishment. My partner and I thought at first we had contracted COVID, and lost all sense of taste! The pizza tasted like cardboard topped with watery tomato juice and Elmer's glue. Not a hint of garlic, basil, or even salt or pepper could be detected. In disbelief, thinking this must be a fluke, and still unsatisfied after our pie, we ordered the meatballs, and to our shock and horror found ourselves presented with a tureen of utterly unseasoned hunks of ground beef floating in the same marinara, tasting for all the world like the color grey. The food was okay but not nearly what I was expecting based upon past verbal reviews I had from friends and the prices that they charge As for the prices that they charge they charge more when you pick things up then they post online. I ordered two personal pizzas and an order of fried mozzarell that was supposed to be $39 before tax. I was charged $49.30 which is about $7.50 more than it should have been. When I called in to inquire about the difference the young person who answered the phone said oh yeah the prices that are on our menu online are wrong and we've been trying to get our boss to change them for a while now but he just doesn't do it to me that sounds like bait and switch almost because you don't know what you're paying for when you're taking a look at online price menus as I said the menu is Miss marked online so beware the food is good but not nearly what I was expecting and I will never go back. read more

Tiny little place where friends took me for dinner on a Monday night. Place was still full of people at 7:30, but we were seated promptly. Service was excellent. They were out of one wine on the menu and our server recommended 7 Moons some kind of blend that went perfectly with each of our meals. Portions were sumptuous and delicious. Only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is oddly, the cannoli filling doesn't seem sweet enough?? We purchased a box of them in various shells and they're very good, but something is missing in their filling recipe and I am not quite sure what that may be. I've had the Norwalk location on my list for a few years now but finally ended up here instead. We didn't end up getting any appetizers but they definitely sounded good. I got a pizza special, chicken and some veggies. The pizza was fine, a bit disappointing considering New Haven is only a couple towns over. It's definitely New Haven style but could use a bit of improvement on the crust. My main complaint is the prices were definitely high for what we got, but that might be a sign of the times more than anything else. If I'm back in the future I'll give an update. read more

This place has really gone downhill. I think tonight is the last time I will ever order from them. I feel like I ate so much sugar. The pizza was supposed to have raw onion but it tasted more like caramelized onion with added sugar. Almost like candied onion (barf). Parts of the tomato sauce tasted like it had gone bad and moldy. The bread on the mozzarella, basil tomato panini was stale as were the croutons and the salad dressing was also full of sugar. There was no basil on the panini. I feel so gross from all the extra sugar but also the old, moldy, stale food. I am just so grossed out. Don't get the calzone. For$12 it was tiny and cheese very stringy in a bad way. I was surprised as we never have been dissatisfied
