Came to look at some potentially rotted trees and was honest with me about what did / didn't need to be done. He didn't try to talk me into doing work on things that I already was pretty sure I didn't need to do. read more

I hired Roman Tree Services to prune 5 trees in our backyard. Hector and his team did a great job and I highly recommend hiring them to do tree work or anything related to that. What I liked was the careful minimal approach to pruning the trees and the level of communication that Hector did throughout the job. read more

We had part of a tree fall down in the backyard and I needed to remove a few others due to it bein a safety concern. Hector came by same day and then back again the following day to get it done. All around, great guy, good communication and just easy to chat with about what I needed to get done and what his plan was. I recommend him for future tree services. read more

At about 5:30am during a recent record breaking wind storm, we were awoken by the sound of a loud boom overhead. Going outside immediately we saw the cause of the commotion: a very large part of the tree had been sheered off by a microburst of wind. It was still partially attached to the tree but it was also resting along the rooftop. Another large branch had narrowly missed the roof of the shed nearby. Within an hour I was calling and leaving messages for every tree service you could think of. I was thinking about the weight of this limb on the roof, how two branches were aimed at our windows - and that Saturday would bring with it more rain and wind. But nobody called back. There was too much damage and destruction across the south shore and I was not a priority. Throughout Thursday I called and sent out messages to more places. One responded that they could come out in four days - to give an ESTIMATE, not a removal. I started to give up hope. Then I put in a request with pictures here on yelp. Hector was quick to respond to my message and asked me to send him more details via text. I did, and not only did he respond he asked me if I wanted him to have them come out that night or Friday afternoon. I chose the latter. He gave me a precise time, and I was able to give my work full notice so I wouldn't have to use the whole day. Hector and his crew of two others showed up (three if you count his feathered friend!) I'll admit to being skeptical because they showed up in one truck pulling a flatbed trailer. Meanwhile this limb looked massive to me. I had in my mind needing a bucket truck to go up in and a ton of equipment. He assured me they could handle it. When they got out he did a full assessment and explained to me the various things they would have to do involving anchoring with cables and other such stuff. That process alone calmed me that this was in capable hands. They worked at a great pace, trimming off parts here and there while the woman (I wish I got the other two team members names) was breaking apart a lot of the brush and debris and securing it on the flatbed. The quick work they made of such a massive task was awe inspiring to say the least. One wrong move could have meant the shed would have been demolished by the hundreds of pounds of tree or had a hole punched into the roof. To close out this very grateful review: they not only got rid of the existential dread that was literally hanging over our heads, they also got rid of most of the debris including the very extra large branch that was on the ground. Afterwards they even added in the extra touch of using a leafblower so there would be no debris on the deck. I paid in cash and when Hector counted it out he asked if he counted wrong and if there was extra money. I counted it again and realized I accidentally handed over $100 too much. His honesty meant that I didn't have to lose my mind wondering where the grocery money went. I would definitely hire them again for any future jobs. read more

Hector loves trees. He will remove whatever trees you want and need but he respects them too and even talked me out of removing some (and decreasing his profit) because it made sense for the yard. He was very conscientious about his approach and wanted to make sure I was happy with the result. He brought a great crew who was efficient and friendly. read more

We had a tree trimming project but around power lines. The owner, Hector, worked with us coming up with an approach that fit within our budget. Hector is very thoughtful, professional, careful and skilled. Really enjoyed the experience. He was also prompt getting back to me and punctual with the schedule. Definitely having him come back to trim back more trees. read more

Excellent service and consultation, FAST turnaround, and quality work with fair pricing. Love that Hector balanced our needs but also spoke to the health of the trees so we could find the right middle ground for our tree cut backs. Will be recommending to friends and neighbors and will use him again if we need more work done! Top notch read more

Amazing service. Very professional, polite and prompt. We will absolutely use them again and recommend them to whoever needs any sort of yard work. Hector and his crew were also very professional, quick, and polite. I sent a text to Hector to set up an inspection of what needed to be done. He stopped by within 5 minutes to take a look. Our yard looks incredible now. As a bonus, the pricing is very reasonable! Thank you again, Hector & team! read more

I lost a number of large limbs in a recent storm. Hector and Carlos came the same day I reached out and did a great job cleaning up and taking the debris. Two other tree companies give me estimates for the desired work. When Hector of RT trees came, right on time as he had said, the price was significantly lower than the other two. Not only that, but he ended up doing extra work for no extra charge. Their tree cutting and trimming was clearly done with expertise and in a timely manner. The men were respectful, friendly, and hard working. If there was a question about whether something should be cut or not, they asked me, and complied with my wishes. Hector made excellent suggestions. Everything they did was well thought out and planned. They made suggestions considering aspects I would not have anticipated. I now have plans for having more tree work done in the future as my budget allows. Most importantly, I am thrilled and satisfied with what they have done, and I have complete trust and confidence in Hector and his team. I recommend them without reservation. read more

They are amazing!! I had two insanely overgrown very large trees that were encroaching on my deck and they removed huge amounts of the branches safely and expertly. They were very reasonably priced and incredibly professional (and did the work the same day they came for the quote!!). They were great communicators - showed up when they said they would, did what they said they would (even trimmed some extra branches for me that were part of a separate job). I can't say enough wonderful things. Don't hesitate - use them! I will be using them for all tree services in the future, I'm a customer for life now. read more

Hector and Carlos were great. We had some clogged gutters that were causing water to pool around the outside of our house and they got them cleaned out fast. Hector was super knowledgeable, gave us a thorough estimate upfront, and was very responsive and happy to answer any questions. Both guys were super nice and kept everything really neat while they worked. Totally fair pricing, highly recommend! read more

This guy and his wife is the most shadiest, rudest, UNPROFESSIONAL people ever!!! I found them through Yelp based on good reviews. He told me to send him pictures and he quoted me for $400-600 to remove tree branches. He then said he will book a spot next week but he never did and I had to keep following up on him. They called last minute and said they were ten minutes away out of convenience. He and his wife came onsite and quoted a price to my parents of $1200. After agreeing on the deal, he then cut 1/3 of the tree branches and loaded onto his truck. A few hours later, he decided to go back on the deal and wanted to do an additional $600 for each truck load, which he did not mention before. My dad did not agree because he did not mention this when giving the quote and gave him $300. He got so mad and then dumped the whole load of branches onto the driveway and left, so there was a massive pile of trash. My parents then had to go buy 30 gallons of trash bags to put the branches he left for two days in the cold and rain. These people are the worst. I don't know what the good reviews are for but DO NOT hire them. They are the most unprofessional people ever and my parents couldn't speak English that well so perhaps they harassed them. They're glad I didn't call the police on them because this was harassment. read more

Hector and his team did a great job for us, removing two small trees. He was great with communication and his quote was in line with or lower than other companies I contacted. I hired Roman Tree Service via Yelp. He cut the tree, freed the cable wires and the cable pole. It was a really hard job because the area is full of ancient brush, old trees and assorted crap, not just my yard, all the yards along the RR tracks from West st to River st. He had 2 helpers and they did the work quickly and efficiently as well as a good price. Highly recommend and will probably have him back for more jobs. Nut gracias primo!!! read more

This company quoted me a price that is 40% higher than 2 other quotes from different companies. I decided to hire them to do our landscaping because they came across as more professional. After agreeing on a service date, they contacted me the day before and said they were running behind but would come during the afternoon of the service date. Then on the service date they never showed up and did not respond to my multiple attempts at contacting them. I took time off of work and sat around all day waiting for them to show up. What a terrible experience. read more

Husband called them and they were out within 30 minutes doing estimate and the set up the service for the following day . Sent pictures with all the progress. Cleaned up all trees and gutters thoroughly. Did not leave any trash. Price was VERY reasonable. I had an estimate from my usual landscaper and it was 4x as much but just included 2 trees instead of all the trees and gutters RT included. Highly recommend to everyone. read more

Hector and his crew from Roman Tree Services were very professional, friendly, and efficient. They did a wonderful job restoring order to our overgrown yard, cleaning out our choked gutters, and pruning back the trees that threaten our roof. They cleaned up after the work completely. I wholeheartedly recommend hiring them! I'm looking forward to working with them again on an improvement project in our yard. I have no doubt they'll be up to the task, listen to what I want, and work with me to keep the project inside my budget. read more

I manage several properties throughout Houston, and RT Trees is my go-to tree trimming / gutter cleaning company. I've hired, Hector, owner, for several projects, and he has exceeded my expectations with every job. My rule of thumb: contact two (or more) contractors to bid on a job - for pricing and to learn new prospectives. Negotiating fees comes with the territory, but I never have to do that with Hector. No nickel-and-diming, no price haggling with him. He's is a straight shooter who gets the job done! Equally important, Hector maintains the highest integrity when it comes to safety. Cones are placed around the perimeter, and he is very attentive for pedestrians, children, and pets. I was pleasantly surprised by Hector's attention to detail, and his dendrology know-how. Highly recommended. read more

Loved my experience with this team. They responded quickly to my Yelp inquiry. Their quote remained the same. They were friendly, professional and had some helpful advice. I called them based on their reviews and I was not disappointed. They did a great job cutting my neighbor's tree branches (for two trees) back to the property line. They also helped my neighbor when yet another of their trees dropped a huge branch which damaged their roof. Roman came out the next day after the branch came down. During the cutback job, they communicated with me and sent pictures throughout the execution of the job. And, they cleaned up well! Not to mention Hector was super professional, polite and a seriously humble dude. Very glad I hired them and would again. Also will happily recommend them to everyone in the neighborhood! read more

Hector is amazing - we have used him twice now for tree removal and for clearing some large shrubs so we could have a fence installed. He's super responsive and his work is incredible. He and his team are friendly and quick. He worked with our timeline and budget (and always sticks to the budget!), and gave us plenty of options of how to achieve what we wanted. They were even able to remove an enormous tangle of bittersweet that was strangling a big tree in our yard - it was so much work, but the tree looks great now! Will definitely be using Hector again - can't recommend him more! read more

Hector and his colleague Elizabeth came back to help us with a neighbor's gutters (which were also really clogged, and had caused some serious internal building leaks in a recent storm). I reached out on a Saturday morning and they came over by Saturday afternoon, again fully accommodating our schedule. This time Hector got up to the top of the third floor of our brownstone. They cleared out the gutter in full, and certainly put our minds at ease before the next set of storms was coming through. Truly appreciate their help and definitely recommend them! read more

Roman Tree Services: Excellent quality service in tree trimming along with bush trimming and removal. Hector's prior consultation on the project and understanding of trees, bushes, including roses (: was first rate. He and his team mate, Carlos, were very patient, kind and worked with you. They did a wonderful job in trimming our backyard Birch tree, as well as our Curly Willow tree and our front yard Dogwood tree. Also, trimmed back all the bushes and patiently pruned our many rose bushes along with weeding the rose bed. After so much rain, and then scorching hot temperatures, was difficult to get out in the yard to trim and weed. The yard simply grew to a jungle. We desperately needed to get the yard cleaned up. As I write this review, I can now hear through our living room window, all our trees and bushes in the yard, sighing with happy relief after receiving their long over due haircuts. We will most certainly invite Roman Tree Services back on an ongoing basis. We highly recommend this tree/ landscaping company. read more

We have used Hector and his team for a few years now, and they have always been friendly, professional, and reasonable. We first discovered them when looking for a series of quotes for gutter cleanings on our tall 3-decker condo. His team was by far the most reasonably priced and did a fantastic job, even sending us photos of our gutters throughout the process. When we moved to a single family this year we reached out to them again since we trusted their work. They've cleaned our gutters, trimmed dead branches, and done stump grinding, all at a fair price. They are thorough and safe in how they approach their work, and we appreciate how responsive Hector is in communicating his availability and pricing. Thank you to Hector and his amazing team for consistently providing excellent service! We referred them to all our friends in JP/West Rox/Rozzie/Hyde Park, and they all swear by his work now. We cannot recommend them enough! read more

Hector and his team were incredible. He is extremely knowledgeable and knows his stuff. We had a lot of dead trees, debris, and steep drop off which made the land unusable. He was dependable and efficient. I would highly recommend Hector and team to anyone. Here are some before and after pictures. You can't go wrong with Hector and his team!!!!! read more

I got 3 quotes for the job to be done and Hector's was the most fair and his work exceeded my expectations. Low-hanging branches were taken off in the backyard and a tree on the side of the house was trimmed back to avoid lines to the house and the side of the house. He and his partners arrived on time, did an amazing amount of work in the time they were here, cleaned everything up and took it away. The trees and yard look better than ever and we have a chance to actually grow some grass in the backyard now that there's light coming in.
