At about 5:30am during a recent record breaking wind storm, we were awoken by the sound of a loud boom overhead. Going outside immediately we saw the cause of the commotion: a very large part of the tree had been sheered off by a microburst of wind. It was still partially attached to the tree but it was also resting along the rooftop. Another large branch had narrowly missed the roof of the shed nearby. Within an hour I was calling and leaving messages for every tree service you could think of. I was thinking about the weight of this limb on the roof, how two branches were aimed at our windows - and that Saturday would bring with it more rain and wind. But nobody called back. There was too much damage and destruction across the south shore and I was not a priority. Throughout Thursday I called and sent out messages to more places. One responded that they could come out in four days - to give an ESTIMATE, not a removal. I started to give up hope. Then I put in a request with pictures here on yelp. Hector was quick to respond to my message and asked me to send him more details via text. I did, and not only did he respond he asked me if I wanted him to have them come out that night or Friday afternoon. I chose the latter. He gave me a precise time, and I was able to give my work full notice so I wouldn't have to use the whole day. Hector and his crew of two others showed up (three if you count his feathered friend!) I'll admit to being skeptical because they showed up in one truck pulling a flatbed trailer. Meanwhile this limb looked massive to me. I had in my mind needing a bucket truck to go up in and a ton of equipment. He assured me they could handle it. When they got out he did a full assessment and explained to me the various things they would have to do involving anchoring with cables and other such stuff. That process alone calmed me that this was in capable hands. They worked at a great pace, trimming off parts here and there while the woman (I wish I got the other two team members names) was breaking apart a lot of the brush and debris and securing it on the flatbed. The quick work they made of such a massive task was awe inspiring to say the least. One wrong move could have meant the shed would have been demolished by the hundreds of pounds of tree or had a hole punched into the roof. To close out this very grateful review: they not only got rid of the existential dread that was literally hanging over our heads, they also got rid of most of the debris including the very extra large branch that was on the ground. Afterwards they even added in the extra touch of using a leafblower so there would be no debris on the deck. I paid in cash and when Hector counted it out he asked if he counted wrong and if there was extra money. I counted it again and realized I accidentally handed over $100 too much. His honesty meant that I didn't have to lose my mind wondering where the grocery money went. I would definitely hire them again for any future jobs. read more

They are amazing!! I had two insanely overgrown very large trees that were encroaching on my deck and they removed huge amounts of the branches safely and expertly. This guy and his wife is the most shadiest, rudest, UNPROFESSIONAL people ever!!! I found them through Yelp based on good reviews. He told me to send him pictures and he quoted me for $400-600 to remove tree branches. He then said he will book a spot next week but he never did and I had to keep following up on him. They called last minute and said they were ten minutes away out of convenience. He and his wife came onsite and quoted a price to my parents of $1200. After agreeing on the deal, he then cut 1/3 of the tree branches and loaded onto his truck. A few hours later, he decided to go back on the deal and wanted to do an additional $600 for each truck load, which he did not mention before. My dad did not agree because he did not mention this when giving the quote and gave him $300. He got so mad and then dumped the whole load of branches onto the driveway and left, so there was a massive pile of trash. My parents then had to go buy 30 gallons of trash bags to put the branches he left for two days in the cold and rain. These people are the worst. I don't know what the good reviews are for but DO NOT hire them. They are the most unprofessional people ever and my parents couldn't speak English that well so perhaps they harassed them. They're glad I didn't call the police on them because this was harassment. read more

It was a really hard job because the area is full of ancient brush, old trees and assorted crap, not just my yard, all the yards along the RR tracks from West st to River st. Hector's prior consultation on the project and understanding of trees, bushes, including roses (: was first rate. He and his team mate, Carlos, were very patient, kind and worked with you. They did a wonderful job in trimming our backyard Birch tree, as well as our Curly Willow tree and our front yard Dogwood tree. Also, trimmed back all the bushes and patiently pruned our many rose bushes along with weeding the rose bed. After so much rain, and then scorching hot temperatures, was difficult to get out in the yard to trim and weed. The yard simply grew to a jungle. We desperately needed to get the yard cleaned up. As I write this review, I can now hear through our living room window, all our trees and bushes in the yard, sighing with happy relief after receiving their long over due haircuts. I got 3 quotes for the job to be done and Hector's was the most fair and his work exceeded my expectations. Low-hanging branches were taken off in the backyard and a tree on the side of the house was trimmed back to avoid lines to the house and the side of the house.
