From start to finish, it was a pleasure to work with RM Affordable Landscaping. Rudy came out and gave me an estimate the day after I requested one. The price was very reasonable. On the day of the job, Rudy and Marlin worked tirelessly for 3 1/2 hours and got a tremendous amount done - trimming multiple hedges and bushes, cutting back an almost dead lilac, power washing the patio (it looks as good as it did 15 years ago when it was installed), cleaning moss, etc. off the garage roof (hadn't been cleaned since I got the house 30+ years ago), cutting up and removing a fallen branch, and power washing a basketball backboard that I wasn't even sure could be reached. They did an excellent job on everything. I couldn't say enough about how great they were! read more

Rudy and his team were excellent. They did a great job of totally redoing our front and back yards--laying new sod, pruning, moving and removing plants, regrading the front, adding stone borders, and general clean up. The yard looks beautiful, and I would hire him again. read more

They did what they said they would do, removing debris and mulching. Some new weeds came up after and one big one was left behind. We'll follow up on our own with these things that we noticed. read more

I called Rudy for an estimate on our tiny side yard which needed a re do since purchasing our house. Not only he is responsive, kind and affordable but he even did the job faster than expected! We decided on just doing a pathway until we can spend more and add plants and color. Rudy brought a team of people who worked from 11 am to 8 pm and it was done in a day! The value for what you get is excellent! We will be definitely contacting him again for gardening and finishing our yard! Thanks Rudy and team! read more

Rudy is the owner and a pleasure to work with! He has a great crew of very hard working guys. We started out with an estimate for a patio, Rudy was very fair and listened to my concerns. Others I contacted were interested in talking me out of what I wanted and into what they wanted, (a square patio with man made blocks) , that could be installed very quickly. That's not what I wanted and Rudy didn't shy away from my ideas. Actually, Rudy suggested a small retaining wall to level out my property for the row of privacy hedges, it turned out to be a fantastic recommendation. Not only does it look great but the wall offers way more seating space than we could have imagined...and the Arborvitae trees 10' tall were the right height for the space and off the privacy we want! Rudy collaborated with me on the design, and suggested things I hadn't thought of, like the small step down on the back of the retaining wall. As the project progressed, Rudy rolled with us as we added some additional hard scape wants...his communication was great, there were a few days around the 4th of July when they didn't come, but he let me know in advance, and always replied promptly whenever I reached out to him. The quality of his work is excellent, and I'd highly recommend him to anyone, for hardscape, landscape and tree work. A pleasure to work with! read more

Rudy and his crew trimmed large tree branches for us, removed a big, old shrub and its roots, and cleaned up, edged, and mulched our front yard. What a difference! They did a fantastic job, always with a smile, and very easy to work with. Rudy is very professional and communicates and follows up very quickly. Also, his prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend RM Affordable Landscaping and will happily work with them again! Thank you Rudy, for a beautiful job! read more

Buyer Beware! We have used Rudy Juarez at RM Affordable Landscaping in Waltham for a few years and had been satisfied. This Spring one of his employees mistakenly caused irreparable damage to one of the air conditioning units outside requiring us to purchase a new replacement. Rudy recognized his responsibility and was communicative until we reached out to him to work out an equitable solution for us to get paid back for our out of pocket costs (over $2,000). We offered different options to minimize his financial impact-including having him work off the value of what we paid. Despite our outreach, several times over 6 weeks, Rudy went dark without any response to our various texts and calls. We reached out to him again on my wife's phone which he promptly picked up as he did not recognize the number. We scheduled a day for him to come by and discuss and, while he texted us before he came, he did not get out of his car and left after 5 minutes( leaving within the timeframe he said he would be arriving). We asked him to please come back which was about 3 minutes later and he would not. Rudy continues not to respond to any of our outreach. We think that consumers should be aware of this lack of response/accountability and consider whether to hire his company given the risk of not getting reimbursed for any possible damage done to their property. read more

I like to do my own landscaping but needed some help this year. I asked for a number of quotes and Rudy responded very quickly, came by to give me a very reasonable quote, and was able to start the work within two weeks. He and his fellow worker completed the work within the day, staying until 6 pm or so. I had asked Rudy to leave an extra yard of mulch for me to apply later in another area. When I returned, Rudy had laid out the mulch in the area I was going to mulch and then some. Rudy is very pleasant and easy-going, a pleasure to work with. read more

Rudy was very responsive to inquiries. They are reasonably priced and came out quickly to do leave cleanup.

Great yard work . Did mulching , seeding and gravel all within a great time frame and fit my budget. Would definitely use again.

I reached out to Rudy through yelp, and in less than an hour he responded. We weren't able to clean our yard in almost two years so I was worried it would take a long time. Rudy visited a few days later, his quote was reasonable and within two weeks he came and cleared our yard from leaves. Because he has a large crew, what I thought would easily take 4 hours or more to clean up, Rudy and his team cleaned our yard in almost half of that time. They went above and beyond and mowed a section of my lawn as well. Rudy and his team are very responsive and courteous. We will be using Rudy going forward for our fall/spring cleanups on a regular basis. read more

My neighbor and I spent weeks unsuccessfully trying to get a landscaper to stop by and provide a quote. Eventually we found Rudy who showed up the next day and got the job done right away at a fair price. Appreciated how responsive and quick the service was. Would recommend. read more

The project was delayed multiple times. After paying Rudy toward the end of the project, he didn't come back to complete all the tasks as promised. Rudy and his team work hard when they are on the site and we are pleased with the job that has been completed. read more

Not sure what happened - Rudy was initially very responsive and we arranged a time for him to come by and look at the job. No show no word :( Did he drive by and decide he didn't want the job? Honest communication is always the best policy. read more

Rudy and his team laid sod in our yard. it was handled fast and they were a pleasure to deal with. The yard looks great!

Rudy is fantastic! I needed to have retaining walls and a garden bed built, and also some trees removed. He was quick to come over to take a look at it and give me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable. Once I decided to move forward, he was able to start doing the work within days. He and his crew worked hard and I'm very happy with the results. read more

Would recommend in a heartbeat! Responsive and friendly. Will probably use again in future for any landscaping needs.

We've worked with a few contractors for lawn services in the past, but none of them was up to the standard of Rudy and his team. Rudy is a very friendly guy who listens to your needs patiently and then offers his expertise. He and his team are very professional and care about the quality of their work a lot. They made it to our appointment on time, got the job (cleanup+mulching) done quickly, and offered expert opinions on a few small things related to gardening, all for a fair price. We are very pleased with their services and will definitely recommend to our friends and others! read more

He came quickly to give a very reasonable estimate of the property and he did a great job with spring clean-up and lawn mowing. Will look forward to working more with him and his crew. read more

This was our first experience using a landscaper. We were worried from all the horror stories you hear. I'm very pleased to say our experience with Rudy and his crew could not have been better. He listened to what we needed, showed up when he said he would and completed the work in two days as promised. No nonsense, no disappearing for two days. Couldn't recommend him more! I would definitely use RM again! read more

Very responsive! Called me the same day I reached out to them, came by the next day and gave a very reasonable quote, and two days later my tree was removed. The tree was huge with multiple branches on the power lines. They meticulously removed them without disturbing the power lines like true experts. Took down the tree, ground the stump and left the yard very clean. No disturbance to my neighbors, nothing in the street, they were really the best of the best and I highly recommend them! read more
