Be warned: this company may seem great at first, but they are completely unreliable. My experience started well--Esteban's team was prompt with the initial assessment and provided a very good price for cutting down a tree and trimming others around my house. I agreed to the quote and was told they would come to do the job. After that, they vanished. No show, no call. I tried to reach them a couple of times, but my calls were never answered. This unprofessional behavior left me stranded and delayed my project by several weeks while I searched for someone else. read more

I need to have my driveway repaved, replacing a crumbling brick paver driveway with less expensive asphalt. Lorenzo of LL Hardscape responded to my Yelp enquiry, and came by to give an estimate. I was impressed by his knowledge and ability to address improving the drainage and street edging with some masonry in addition to the asphalt paving. His estimate was fair for the asphalt, a little high for the masonry, but I accepted the proposal and declined other contractors. Then, complete silence. No response at all to repeated questions. Very hard to understand. I hope everything is fine, but not knowing, I need to let others know not to waste their time and delay their projects! Note: after posting the review, I did hear back from Lorenzo, who had decided not to take on the project. But I am not changing the rating which is based on the length of time to get a response after accepting his estimate. read more

We were in the middle of a fence installation when it was brought to our attention that a tree needed to be removed in order to clear enough room for the fence to align with an existing one. We originally opted to keep the tree in place and work around it, but as we kept moving forward, it just made sense to do things right the first time. Esteban came out within 24 hours' notice, gave a very fair estimate, understood our timeline, and returned a day later with all the necessary equipment. They carefully navigated through tight quarters, took down the tree, cleaned the site, and left with a smile. These guys crushed it. Kudos to their tremendous skill set. I contacted Esteban in April for a quote on preparing our lawn for a garden planting that we were planning for June, and he gave us a good quote. We wanted to be sure to be on his books early, and asked twice for a date in the last week of May. He didn't give us a date, but said he'd be there, "don't worry." A week before, I texted him, and asked him what day he'd be coming. He didn't reply to three texts asking him when he'd come. I called him, and he said he'd check his schedule and call me back that night or the next day. He didn't. When I called again a few days later, he finally said he'd be here on Thursday or Friday. It rained all day Thursday, so I was expecting him Friday at 7:30. He never showed. I texted him asking if he was on his way. No reply. I called, and it went to voice mail, but the mailbox was full. He never called or texted to explain or apologize. We had been counting on Esteban doing his part that week because we had booked another contractor to do the next part of the job over the weekend. We had to cancel that and scramble to find a replacement for Esteban. Fortunately, we were able to get someone who came out for an estimate on Saturday and did a very good job on Monday, for less than Esteban had quoted. But Esteban's unprofessional behavior set our project back by a week. Not recommended. read more

A Tree had tipped and was leaning on our house from an adjoining property after cracking about 6 feet off the ground in a recent storm. Lorenzo and his crew worked quickly but took their time discussing, planning and ensuring the tree would go where they wanted. Very professional work, and not rushed through. This company was great! I reached out over Yelp projects and they got right back to me. I needed a huge pile of leaves cleared from in front of my house the day before Thanksgiving. I'm proud to be the first to review Rafael's work and to provide a solid 5 stars for it. His response to our inquiry was very fast and he arrived the next day to quote our project. His quote was delivered at the time of his visit which was nice considering some other contractors didn't even send a quote after coming to the property. We wanted a paver patio with sitting wall and fire pit, preparation for a shed, and yard cleanup with new mulch. The overall results are outstanding and I will outline each below: Paver patio: Rafael and his team worked diligently to prepare over 700 sqft of paver patio with wall and fire pit. The pattern laid was very intricate but was performed accurately and with great skill. Final work included glueing of the wall coping and poly sand. The sand turned out great with tight joints and a smooth protective finish. Shed preparation: Rafael dug and filled a 240 sqft shed base for us. His dig out was very clean and effective use of the compactor meant we don't have to worry about the shed moving over time. The shed contractor remarked that the pad is one of the best he has seen. Yard cleanup and mulch: Not much to say here other than the results met all of our expectations and then some. Edging was cut accurately and mulch laid very smooth from edge to edge. Cleanup under the plants was done effectively and the mulch laid under to help keep them moist in the coming summer heat. Overall his work over the last couple weeks has been 5+ stars. I don't hesitate to recommend him for any landscaping job you may have. Give him a ring as I think you will be as happy with your result as we are with ours. read more
