Went with Lopez Landscaping since they had the smaller equipment and manpower to get the job done. The tree was quickly removed but it was a 3 star maybe 3.5 star experience because of the additional work needed to coordinate everything. The good: - competitive quote and they were able to come by quickly to assess the work - flexible in bringing equipment that worked with tight openings - main tree removal was done in 5 hours - removed paver stones so they wouldn't be damaged by machinery - friendly and professional. They accommodated a special request to cut a section for a table The bad: - rescheduling was a huge pain. We had to go back and forth for 3 weeks and I had to proactively follow up to confirm if they were coming - unable to grind the stump as part of the initial quote so had to pay another $400 for them to come back with a different machine - never got an invoice despite asking for one multiple times To summarize, this seems to be a nice family business that has experience removing trees quickly. However, it doesn't appear there is a back office that keeps everything organized so you're going to have to do a lot of work to stay on top of things.

Cuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I'm not a dang millionaire, Ralph! The team worked efficiently -- handling pruning, trimming, and tree removal in what felt like record time without sacrificing quality. Everything was done cleanly and professionally. However, I was a tad sad that no one shouted "timber!" at any point. I moved on, though -- I am resilient. Duh. One standout feature was their automated email communication system, which kept me informed every step of the way. Overall, communication was excellent and the service exceeded expectations. Lorenzo has all the big equipment to do a job like this. I was impressed with his big new bucket truck and his tree grinder. They put so many branches that were like trees themselves into that thing, it was kind of amazing to watch it. They were very neat in their work, did not tear up my yard. Put down some plywood, cleaned up after themselves, and also pruned and shaped some smaller trees in my front yard. They were very careful where the branches would come to rest after they were cut and very skilled in the exact place they lowered the branches onto the ground. They used chainsaws and pruners and roped all the larger pieces so they could control exactly where any limb landed. Overall, I couldn't be happier with their job and wouldn't hesitate to use them for anything else and they do quite a few different things.

I noticed ASAP Tree Care working in the area and also received a recommendation from a friend, so I gave them a call for an estimate. I got a prompt callback with a scheduled site visit. When the owner arrived, he assessed the tree's condition and provided a verbal estimate on the spot, which I later approved. He followed up with a written estimate, and payment was due upon completion--no deposit required. During our conversation, he mentioned multiple times that he was a retired Marine, and it was clear he took great pride in that. On the day of the job, he ran into some traffic delays but gave me a heads-up, which I appreciated. When he arrived with his crew, they brought an aerial bucket truck and a wood chipper, making quick work of removing the tree. While there, he also pruned another tree about 20 feet away. The cleanup was excellent--the site was left in better condition than he found it. I even had him head to another property down the street to trim a tree there. Impressively, both jobs were completed in under two hours. His professionalism, efficiency, and fair pricing really stood out. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ASAP Tree Care to anyone in need of tree services.
