Iron Tree has done my tree trimming for me for several years now and every time they have done a superb job. Today the crew appeared early in the morning to shape and prune a beautiful Japanese maple tree which is the focal point of the yard. It is absolutely beautiful now and also more healthy due to their expertise in shaping and pruning this tree, which my grandfather and I planted together when I was about 4 years old. The people who work for Iron Tree are arborists and also artists. They are not just "guys with a truck and a ladder as I have had prior to discovering them. No one will ever touch my trees except for the folks at Iron Tree. read more

Iron tree used our property to cut down a huge Elm from our neighbors property without our permission. I was shocked to see a huge trunk swinging feet from my window. We also had to ask them to put proper driveway protection down before dropping large limbs. There seemed to be no foreman or manager on site and if there was, they weren't managing the project well. No permission and no communication. Update: the owner reached out. Empathetic and took accountability. I want to acknowledge this as many businesses wouldn't. He knows it doesn't erase the past frustrations but I'm grateful he reached out and listened. read more

If you leave a bad review the owner will call you and demand that you take it down. They are extremely over priced too. read more

Great experience with Austin who came out to look at a mature oak tree on a property we're considering buying. He gave us a thorough no-cost assessment of the tree's condition, pointing to healing rate and new growth as key indicators of health. Austin was very easy to talk to and he answered all of our questions about projected tree care down the line and potential signs to look out for - we will definitely be using Iron Tree Services for future tree assessment and maintenance! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Iron Tree! Anthony who came out to do the estimate was very careful to review the area that needed to be cleaned up (due to a neighbor's tree that fell in our yard) and sent me the estimate promptly via email. They made a very quick appointment to come take care of all the damage and the workers were prompt and on time and cleaned up every bit of debris. The guys worked constantly and were polite and thorough. I was extremely please with the results! Thank you Iron Tree! (the photos below do not show all the mess behind and on the side of the shed plus hanging over my fence which also had tree limbs) read more

The crew was polite, respectful and most of all very thorough. They did such a great job of cleaning up. I highly recommend Iron Tree service and would use them again. Very reasonable price as well. read more

The best of the best! Everything went great from start to finish. Polite and very clean workers enjoyed working with this company.

Iron Tree Service did an outstanding job cutting down two trees on my property. The office was very friendly and scheduling was easy despite some unique challenges on my part. The crew, led by Justin B., was efficient, professional, and clearly experienced. Their pricing was fair, and they delivered exactly what they promised. They also took great care with the cleanup--leaving the site neat and tidy--and didn't leave until I was completely satisfied. I highly recommend Iron Tree Service and will definitely call them again if I need any tree work done in the future! read more

OUTSTANDING in every way. Highly recommend. They went over and above what was expected for the job. Left it cleaner than before doing the tree cutting, pruning and removal. Nice to see great work ethic and to have English speaking Americans. Thank you! read more

Everything went great. I would recommend these guys to anybody. They did a great job. Very polite did everything and more cleaned up I couldn't be happier. read more

Our experience with Iron Tree was perfect. They responded to our request for a quote promptly, they sent a talented person out to give us the quote. They gave us advice as to what trees were important to remove. Then they kept us informed of the date we would be seeing them, and they were here on time on that day. The crew was excellent and very congenial. The climber was very careful and paid close attention to where things would fall. The tree being removed was 120 feet from the truck and so required a large crane. Heavy tree trunks had to be lifted over our house. We were nervous, but they were perfectly competent. Everything went exactly as we hoped. They left our yard and our street as clean as they found it. We would definitely recommend Iron Tree and use them again when the need arises. read more

Our guess is that these people just want LARGE amounts of money and to heck with everyone else....We are retired....we needed service which we were prepared to pay for...this guy lied to us stated he would get right back to us! Right....never did...we didnt wait anyways....had somebody from the neighborhood assist us....Iron Tree..? read more

I just had Iron Tree Service come to our house. We needed 2 trees trimmed desperately. There were 4 guys, they were so pleasant and a great sense of humor. I was watching how they did their work and it was amazing to me how quickly it took them to do the job. By the time they were done the cleanup was fantastic. I would recommend them highly. Great bunch of guys and the price was reasonable. Thank you so much for your great work. Gina Dunn read more

My very tall trees needed to be trimmed and I once again called Iron Tree as they had done several jobs for me and they are the best. Dennis came and spoke with us as to what we wanted he is always polite and professional. The office gives cheerful service regarding your appointment. Chris and his crew arrived on time and did a terrific job it was exactly what we wanted. They too were friendly and professional. They cleaned up so well before they left there was not a leaf or a twig left in the yard and not one leaf entered the pool which they had to work around. It was perfectly done. I will never ever use another tree service because in a world of hit or miss service they are first rate. Thank you folks at iron tree the trees look terrific read more

Need to get rid of a dead branch in my backyard as well as cut back branches to my fence line. There is no driveway around that tree and most of the tree company need to put a car on my neighbor's lawn. I'm going to say No. Iron Tree Service is the only company can do it with their spider drive through my fence gate and expand in my backyard. The price is reasonable and competitive, got the appointment scheduled 2 weeks earlier, they arrived on time, did the job in a fast and professional way. Wonderful experience! If you need take care of some tree which is not accessible through your driveway, and you don't want to drive through your neighbor's lot, definitely give them a call! read more

Recently removed a 200+ year old Oak Tree from our backyard in Medford. This thing was massive. Towered over the neighborhood. The stump cut is about 7 foot in diameter. We have a very tight backyard. The driveway is too narrow for any of their trucks. They had to park in an adjacent street a few houses over, angle their cranes over the electrical wires, and navigate various neighboring trees to take our oak out. And yet they managed it in half a day and were consummate professionals from start to finish. Shout out to Tim who managed this project and worked with me to get it all set up. Iron Tree wasn't the cheapest of the quotes I got, but their price was more than fair for the quality of the work and competence of the workers. You could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. read more

Great job trimming one maple tree and removing the other maple. The crew were fantastic. The office staff are fantastic. I recommend them highly. Iron Tree even calls after the work was done to check if there were any problems. Iron Tree did great. This company and its people & owners clearly take pride in their work and their reputation. Five stars. read more

This company is in a league of its own ! We had a major residential project done yesterday here in Newburyport. It's been a long time coming and a big decision to have finally removed a number of trees that were approximately 30' high. They were diseased pine trees and really needed to be removed. This project required a police detail and closing off part of the street. The crew was impeccable, polite, conscientious, friendly and professional. We can't saw enough about how happy we are with each and every one of these individuals. Thank-you Iron Tree Service ! Debra D. read more

Love Iron Tree - we were very impressed at the work they did at our neighbors house across the street so we had them take down 6 trees in our yard - great workers and everyone knows their job which made for a smooth operation - massive equipment that they had made it look so easy- also one other thing Dennis worked with us and answered all our questions and concerns and gave us a great price - absolutely 5 stars read more

The estimate man is not recommended or the office personnel. The tree cutters are good. Find another service. Communications poor with estimate man and office. Way overpriced read more

Shortly---almost immediately--after posting a negative review of Iron Tree, I received 'phone calls from Anthony and John. Seems that I was incorrect in stating that I'd not heard back from them regarding an estimate they gave me. I was wrong and apologize; their estimate was indeed posted to me the day following Anthony's visit. I see many good reviews of this company's work and have no reason to believe they are anything but serious in their approach to their customers. Therefore, I withdraw my prior criticism. read more

I live in a fairly dense neighborhood with Pine trees that tower over the 2 story houses here. Iron Tree gave me an estimate for removing one a day after I called and managed to squeeze a crane between the houses. The removal was an extremely efficient process - within 30 minutes it was like it was never there. Not a twig on my neighbor's yard nor on the street where are the grinding and branch removal was done. I highly recommend their service. read more

Iron Tree has done work for me twice this year, both times they were punctual, professional, and extremely skilled. They worked from the street and removed trees in my backyard. They do a great job at cleaning up as well. I won't hesitate to call them again for any further tree issues. Excellent service! read more

I highly recommend Iron Tree! I recently hired Iron Tree to remove several trees and also grind the stumps for a fence project in my yard. Iron Tree was affordable, prompt and courteous. Even though we did not choose Iron Tree to do our tree cutting job, we were impressed with how timely they were coming out to look at the job. The arborist was very knowledgeable about the problem and the particular kind of tree and gave us good information. read more

Ok. So I didn't actually use their service to cut down my tree. Why? Because I got other estimates that were between 50-40% off what Anthony quoted me. Maybe they would be prompt and clean (hence the two stars) but he either didn't look at the job completely or thought that I (as a woman) would be fool enough to pay $2k for the takedown of one mid sized tree. Didn't even ask him to match the price because he was trying to screw me in the first place. read more

I can't say enough about Iron Tree Service. We were in a dangerous situation- Eric got back to me immediately and was here in an hour, when other companies were talking about coming a week later. Excellent crew and estimator. They did a great job cutting all the trees down. They were booked well in advance. I had to wait about 2 months! Worth it though for the price. They did everything they said they would do and clean was excellent. A+ read more

Iron Tree Service are amazing! I needed to have some trees pruned and one was pretty high up. The communication with sales, support, and service were all outstanding. The crew showed up and were very friendly. They explained what they were going to do and did the job well. No damage to anything and some of the branches were significantly higher than the house. Just amazing work! They cleaned up and took care of everything. Outstanding job with a very reasonable price, really impressive equipment, and truly excellent staff all around. I reward great service and this is the epitome of great service. I'll definitely be calling Iron Tree Service again in the future! read more

I am a local from Hamilton, I am cheap. Iron Tree worked with my cheapness and catered to it!! They understand, they dropped all the hanging limbs and let me deal with the rest on the ground, all the while treating me like a VIP even though I am not. Hard-working crew communicated with me directly on the day of service and the salesman followed up after, all for $350.00! These guys get IT, they really do!! Thank you Iron Tree read more

My neighbor had Iron grind a stump in his yard. He provided me with with Dennis's number who responded to me immediately. A few days later, and for a very fair price a crew came and were respectful of the surrounding yard. Couldn't ask for more. read more

I called in for a job position and spoke with Gerry on the phone. He was very unprofessional and dismissive and was quick to hang up telling me he had a more important call he had to take. I've heard amazing things about this company and understand if the position was already filled but the way Gerry handled the phone call and spoke to me was just very unprofessional. I felt disrespected by Gerry himself with the way he handled the phone call. After reading all the amazing reviews, it's disheartening I had that experience. I hope this doesn't speak for the company itself read more

Great Service... the crew removed a big ol maple. Very professional ! There was minor damage to the siding, but a few days later they repaired it no problem! read more

We've had a few tree services in the past. All good but had an exceptional experience with Iron Tree. First to mention is that this work was performed in 2021 when we anticipated scheduling challenges with all the labor shortages. The reason for calling Iron Tree was seeing the job they did just around the corner from our house. Fast, efficient and had the site cleaned well after the job was complete. We called and asked if they had an arborist on staff which they do. Steve returned my call shortly after and was at our house that day. We discussed the job and he gave me a quote within the hour. Unfortunately, we were not there the day the work was done but we chose to have it done anyways because the next date available was months off. Work was done and when we returned, I only wished that a few of the limbs were removed (no one to blame but us for not being there). Still satisfied but was going to ask them if they could return in the spring. Received a call from Iron Tree a few weeks after to ask if we were satisfied. I explained the above and she said she would have someone call me. Long story short, the crew came back on site (when we were here). The foreman explained why he didn't take off the limbs I wished were removed but said he could do some additional trimming. Bottom line is, they did everything we hoped to have done, were extremely customer focused, and professional from beginning to end. Highly recommended and we will have them back when needed. read more

Iron Tree did a great job for us! Our landscaper saw that one of our trees was dying and recommended Iron Tree to remove it -- at over 100' tall it was too much for the landscaper to handle. I made a request at their web site and they sent someone out the next day to give us a quote. Their team is completely professional, both on site and at the office, and the whole process went smoothly. I would definitely work with them again! read more

These guys are top notch! Had two trees taken down, one got hit by lightning and the other was about to fall on neighboring house. I can describe Iron Tree Services with only one word EXCEPTIONAL! They have done an amazing job removing 17 gigantic pine trees that ware located literally just a several feet from the house. Showed up precisely on time for the estimate and for the job itself and did what ever they promised to do and even more. The ground was left sparking clean without any noticeable signs of the tree removal.
