Iron tree used our property to cut down a huge Elm from our neighbors property without our permission. I was shocked to see a huge trunk swinging feet from my window. We also had to ask them to put proper driveway protection down before dropping large limbs. There seemed to be no foreman or manager on site and if there was, they weren't managing the project well. No permission and no communication. Update: the owner reached out. Empathetic and took accountability. I want to acknowledge this as many businesses wouldn't. He knows it doesn't erase the past frustrations but I'm grateful he reached out and listened. read more

Our experience with Iron Tree was perfect. They responded to our request for a quote promptly, they sent a talented person out to give us the quote. They gave us advice as to what trees were important to remove. Then they kept us informed of the date we would be seeing them, and they were here on time on that day. The crew was excellent and very congenial. The climber was very careful and paid close attention to where things would fall. The tree being removed was 120 feet from the truck and so required a large crane. Heavy tree trunks had to be lifted over our house. We were nervous, but they were perfectly competent. Dennis came and spoke with us as to what we wanted he is always polite and professional.The office gives cheerful service regarding your appointment. Need to get rid of a dead branch in my backyard as well as cut back branches to my fence line. There is no driveway around that tree and most of the tree company need to put a car on my neighbor's lawn. I'm going to say No. Iron Tree Service is the only company can do it with their spider drive through my fence gate and expand in my backyard. The price is reasonable and competitive, got the appointment scheduled 2 weeks earlier, they arrived on time, did the job in a fast and professional way. Wonderful experience! Recently removed a 200+ year old Oak Tree from our backyard in Medford. This thing was massive. Towered over the neighborhood. The stump cut is about 7 foot in diameter. We have a very tight backyard. The driveway is too narrow for any of their trucks. They had to park in an adjacent street a few houses over, angle their cranes over the electrical wires, and navigate various neighboring trees to take our oak out. And yet they managed it in half a day and were consummate professionals from start to finish. Shout out to Tim who managed this project and worked with me to get it all set up. Iron Tree wasn't the cheapest of the quotes I got, but their price was more than fair for the quality of the work and competence of the workers. I live in a fairly dense neighborhood with Pine trees that tower over the 2 story houses here. Iron Tree gave me an estimate for removing one a day after I called and managed to squeeze a crane between the houses. The removal was an extremely efficient process - within 30 minutes it was like it was never there. Not a twig on my neighbor's yard nor on the street where are the grinding and branch removal was done. I highly recommend their service. read more

Ok. So I didn't actually use their service to cut down my tree. Why? Because I got other estimates that were between 50-40% off what Anthony quoted me. Maybe they would be prompt and clean (hence the two stars) but he either didn't look at the job completely or thought that I (as a woman) would be fool enough to pay $2k for the takedown of one mid sized tree. We've had a few tree services in the past. All good but had an exceptional experience with Iron Tree. First to mention is that this work was performed in 2021 when we anticipated scheduling challenges with all the labor shortages. The reason for calling Iron Tree was seeing the job they did just around the corner from our house. Fast, efficient and had the site cleaned well after the job was complete. We called and asked if they had an arborist on staff which they do. Steve returned my call shortly after and was at our house that day. We discussed the job and he gave me a quote within the hour. Unfortunately, we were not there the day the work was done but we chose to have it done anyways because the next date available was months off. Work was done and when we returned, I only wished that a few of the limbs were removed (no one to blame but us for not being there). Still satisfied but was going to ask them if they could return in the spring. Received a call from Iron Tree a few weeks after to ask if we were satisfied. I explained the above and she said she would have someone call me. Long story short, the crew came back on site (when we were here). The foreman explained why he didn't take off the limbs I wished were removed but said he could do some additional trimming. Bottom line is, they did everything we hoped to have done, were extremely customer focused, and professional from beginning to end.
