I understand that the service the company provides is very important in many circumstances, but how a company's employees conduct themselves should also be taken into consideration. I will say up front that I am very much an environmentalist and want trees preserved. I came home to see the Patriot Tree Service truck across the street. I was really upset since we have lost so many older trees in the city. I asked one of the crew members if they were taking the tree down and he said, "No, no!" I said, "I'm so relieved! I look out the window at that tree every morning, it's so beautiful." That same guy was throwing the tree in the back of a chipper within an hour and the tree is gone. I'm heartbroken. Had a 60+ft hemlock come down during the storm last week. Shaun and his crew came out quickly. Extremely quick, efficient, careful, very polite and curteous to my neighbor and me, because we had to use my neighbor's driveway to access the steep, steep hill behind my property. Our contact's name was John, and from the minute he started the job it was obvious that he has a violent temper and disposition. He was yelling and cursing at the amount of work they had to do, even though he had come twice to give us an estimate and already had an idea of the job. He started changing the quotation on us and refused to stick to what was clearly written. He made a mess in our yard and almost hit a car in front of our house. Ok, called Sean yesterday for an estimate on trimming a tree in the back yard which was touching the roof, etc. Gave me an estimate of $350.00 which I thought was very fair as not a huge job. They were at the house this morning by 9:00 and did a FANTASTIC job pruning what I needed to get done - cleaned up the ground and gone in an hour. I called Patriot Landscape the Sat before Hurricane Sandy and asked them if they could come Sunday to cut down a tree. The owner didn't even flinch at the fact the Hurricane was in 2 days, there was a football game Sun at 1 and I lived 30 miles outside of his area - he told me he could be there at 8 AM. He even matched the price of a previous estimate a year ago from another company and did not up charge me for the hurricane He showed up at 8am with two other guys and was done by 11:30 AM. It was well worth our time and money. . I was afraid they would not clean up the site and when I returned home every single stick was gone!!!! I cannot say enough good things about this crew that works for Patriot tree service. I had them give me an estimate on a Thursday. The estimate was beyond fair! They came out the following Tuesday. They showed up at 730am. to setup and worked all day until 500pm. I was not able to be at my house during the tree cutting. I asked my wife how they were. Beyond polite to her and my daughter, no foul language, one guy had a rake in his hands and was cleaning up the mess as they were cutting. Just a very well put together team.
