He has strong arborist knowledge and is hands-on, so you're talking directly to the person both knowledgeable and responsible for the job. The job involved removal of two dead 60 ft high oak trees in awkward locations, and some tree limbs that needed to go, especially as a storm was forecasted in coming days. They completed the work within just a few days of the estimate and were professional, careful, and well-equipped. They lowered pieces carefully with ropes, cut the stumps super low, and did an excellent clean up. Communication was excellent with quick responses by email or phone. I'd definitely use them again.

I had met with another company right before Arborway and they were the same price, but wanted to sell me on a bunch of other things that were probably very legitimate, but it wasn't what I wanted to address at that time. Arborway came, took a look, said they'd have no problem doing what we needed, offered to give us a Neighbor permission form (which sounded like a great idea, i.e., in case neighbor came out when they were cutting and were wondering what they were doing). They even pointed out previous pruning that had been done to the tree which looked like a hack job, and they said they would do better than that. The first company couldn't guarantee that the job could be done quickly, but that they'd try. Arborway said that it was a pretty quick and easy job and could be done soon as they could do it as a "filler job" since they did a lot of work right down the street. The only small negative was that after the initial consult, I didn't hear from them right away (the first company gave me a paper quote same day) with the official quote and the neighbor form. I emailed them the day after and they did email back right away saying they would get the arborist to send the quote out as soon as possible. When I look back, the overall turnaround time was actually pretty good. I contacted them the morning of 1/18 (a Friday), they came on Monday (!) and sent me the quote on Thursday. It took me a few days to get the paperwork back to them (waiting on the neighbors to sign the permission form). I got the paperwork back to them on 2/1 and because it was filler work, they couldn't give me an exact time and date. However, they were AMAZING when they knew the big storm (2/8) was coming. They got out here the morning of the storm at 8am. I don't recall if it was Steve or Chad who came, but the gentleman who came to the house was extremely professional and polite and pointed out what they would do and that they would clean up after themselves. I came back an hour later and the pruning was done beautifully and not a trace of branches were on the driveway. Would definitely recommend these guys!
