I am one of these people who get extremely anxious when I go through any medical procedure. I waited until two months after my procedure so I could give an honest review of my experience. I had earlobe repair done on both my earlobes. My ears were previously gauged to an inch. I allowed them to shrink back down to an 8 gauge. When I realized they wouldn't shrink anymore, I contacted Dr. Rayham's office. Setting up the appointment was very easy. The receptionist was very friendly, thoroughly explaining everything and providing me with the cost. When I showed up to the appointment, the office was immaculate, sterile, and had a wonderful aesthetic. I spoke with the same front desk receptionist, and she again was very nice. When I met Dr. Rayham, he was one of the funniest, friendliest, and most knowledgeable doctors I've encountered. He explained the procedure thoroughly, and as he was prepping me, he explained everything he was doing. The procedure took around an hour. They gave me aftercare instructions, and I went home. The healing process went very well. I returned to Dr. Rayham in two weeks to remove the outer bandage. He showed me in the mirrors, and although slightly swollen, my ear lobes looked terrific. Two months later, the swelling has subsided. I can say Dr. Rayham did an impeccable job. The minimal scar is not noticeable, so you would have to study my ear closely. My ears do not look like they were ever gauged, and the lobes are the same size pre-stretching. Last but definitely not least, his nurse and nurse assistants (I forget their names) were warm and funny throughout the process. I highly recommend Dr. Rayham for earlobe repair!!! I cannot speak highly enough about the care that my four year old received from Dr. Rayham. A medical student in the ER had sutured my son's chin after a fall. A few days later it appeared that the stitches had not been done properly. I was in a panic because the healing clock was ticking and my insurance wouldn't cover an in-office visit without prior authorization, which entailed a 5-day wait. Even though my son was not his patient Dr. Rayham counseled me by phone, then agreed to see my son free of charge, squeezing an urgent appointment into his busy office schedule. The nurse who greeted us was kind and funny, taking care to ease my son's nerves by making him laugh. My 82 year old father had an accident where he broke his hip and his hand and Dr. Rayham performed hand surgery on my dad two days after he was hospitalized from the fall. My dad was in a cast for 6 weeks. Dr. Rayham took the cast off and took the pins out of my dad's hand. My dad's hand was as good as new after he underwent the entire procedure as well as the healing process. Additionally, Dr. Rayham was able to get the price of the office visit down from $500.00 to $100.00 since my dad didn't have any money. We were very happy that Dr. Rayham was working with my dad to get him the help he needed while taking into consideration our lack of financial funding at the same time. When he found us in the emergency room with our bloody 3yr old who'd tripped and fallen head first into a metal gate, he immediately put us at ease with his wonderful bedside manner and assurances that he would be our advocate when our insurance company tried to charge us exorbitant amounts for using a plastic surgeon to take care of our son's face. My very first procedure was done in September and the results were flawless. I am 2 months post op and there is barely a scar and I am still in the healing process. I was involved in a devastating truck accident that hurt my back, neck and left my cheek bone fractured and pushed in. I went three weeks after the accident with my cheekbone that way and was worried that it would heal and stay that way. Luckily, Dr. Rayham called me and said who would be more than happy to perform the surgery with the bone almost healed, which a lot of surgeons would not dare do.
