I initially contacted Mia Aesthetics for a mommy makeover and submitted photos as requested. I was told a doctor had reviewed them and confirmed I was a candidate for the procedure. Over the next 2.5 months, I received repeated calls from representatives following up on paperwork and clearance. Nearly every interaction felt scripted, and basic questions about my procedure went unanswered. Communication was extremely frustrating. From the very beginning, I repeatedly asked when I would meet with the surgeon. I was either told I'd have to pay an additional fee just to see him (with no guarantee of availability), or reassured that I would meet him at my pre-op appointment and have all my questions addressed. After submitting a negative survey based on my experience, I was contacted by a "customer care specialist", Robert, who assured me everything would be resolved at pre-op and that I would feel confident moving forward. That did not happen. At my pre-op appointment, I waited over an hour, was pressured to pay my remaining balance before ever meeting the surgeon, and ultimately was seen by someone who was not the doctor. I was then told, at that point, that I would not meet the surgeon until the next day which was the day of surgery. Completely unacceptable. The day of surgery was even worse. I was prepped, in a gown, IV started, and STILL had not seen the surgeon. When he finally came in, it became clear he had never reviewed my original photos. He immediately began suggesting entirely different procedures (breast lift, fleur-de-lis tummy tuck) and told me I would not be happy with the results of what I had been approved for months prior. This was the first time I was hearing any of this; minutes before surgery. I was left in tears. How does a facility approve a procedure without the surgeon ever reviewing the initial photos? Who made that decision? No one could answer. To make matters worse, the alternative procedures came with additional costs, of nearly $20k that were only presented at the very last minute. This felt incredibly misleading. When I escalated the situation, the response from management was dismissive and unprofessional. There was no empathy, no accountability, and no attempt to resolve the situation appropriately. I ultimately canceled my procedure on the spot. This entire experience felt like an assembly line operation where patient care and transparency take a back seat. I also overheard another patient canceling her procedure the same day, which speaks volumes. If you are considering surgery here, I strongly urge you not to do it. Not meeting your surgeon until the day of surgery and discovering that he never saw my original photos in addition to major changes being suggested at that point is not just frustrating, it's unacceptable.

Isn't that what they show all day everyday via their post ? Millions of post of women straight off the surgery table with perfect butts and that's not my experience millions of women 1 day post op with such " wonderful " results also not my story and again I understand everyone's body is different but there should be some resemblance of a " double bbl" idk if they have certain lenses on their cameras or what but it's seems I've been sold a false narrative. My " double BBL " took 1 minute because with all the fat extracted I was pumped with half filled dip hip . Literally only half of my dip hip filled that's uneven. the right side of my hip is noticeably larger than the left. That's is all I got for a bbl . No fat transferred to my butt cheeks at all . Every cellulite, wrinkle, dent I went in with I came out with . I literally asked the surgeon and nurse umm that's it ? If it took one minute that might be too long smh. I've had several post op massages to this point and they have confirmed the only fat transfer I've received are on my hips . I spoke with someone that told me there was nothing that can be done until 3 month post op appointment??? And what will they do then ? Charge me more money to fix work I didn't receive? Just under 5,000 dollars to feel more insecure than before . I came out wider , uneven hips with no butt to match. I can only hope someone can fix this . DR Perkins was my surgeon and I will say good bedside manners and kept checking in on how I was feeling.
