Dr. Sherwyn as a Surgeon: Extraordinary surgical skills, honed over thousands of cases with consistent results focusing on YOUR safety as the absolute #1 priority, good aesthetic and 1000% precision. You will have to seek long and hard to find someone who will take more time to explain everything to you in absolute detail before your procedure, patiently answer every single question, in marking up a patient for surgery, in stitching the perfect sutures - all of which by the way is just the tip of the iceberg since he utilizes superhuman skills to put on the brakes during surgery to meticulously manage your surgery which not only has to look aesthetically phenomenal, but also avoid all possibilities of any damage. His bedside manner is beyond expectation, and the staff is so helpful and caring. Post op care is also top notch, he is from the old guard and calls his patients to check in on them post op with very regular visits for progress. Let me begin by saying that I don't write reviews. However, my experience with Dr. Sherwyn has been worth any amount of time that it takes to share my journey to find him. I consulted with Melinda Farina about an abdominoplasty last year. She recommended a surgeon in Nashville and I went for a consult. I had seen his work before and agreed that he was a good choice for me. I'm still not sure how my case turned out so poorly, but my belly button was horrific! I consulted Melinda again and ask her to give me any surgeon ANYWHERE that could possibly do a revision. That's when I met Dr. Sherwyn. Let me just say that he has the hands of a magician! He took 1 hour during our virtual consult to go over in detail my medical history, explain the procedure to fix my belly button, and go over all the questions and fears that I had about the outcome. To say I am ecstatic...would be an understatement! I am two months out from a breast lift and axillary (armpit) liposuction with Dr. Jonathan Sherwyn. My results have absolutely surpassed my hopes and expectations! I had never been comfortable with the shape of my breasts and after years of contemplating, researching and consultations, I finally came across Dr. Jonathan Sherwyn's practice. Before ever even meeting him, his work stood out to me. Each of his before and afters demonstrated a meticulous eye for natural, balanced and aesthetically pleasing results that truly suited each woman's unique anatomy.  Upon arriving for my consultation, his calm, to the point and professional demeanor put me at ease. Dr. Sherwyn walked me through each step of the procedure from start to finish in great detail with clarity and a remarkable breadth of knowledge. Here are just a few of the details about his practice that stood out to me. 1. Dr. Sherwyn is the only one to close your incisions. Many surgeons have assistants who close the final layers of the incisions as it is an extremely time consuming process. His technique is impeccable and it shows in the consistency of the neat and nearly imperceptible scars he creates. 2. Dr. Sherwyn takes his time. And this is what you want in a plastic surgeon. He is a perfectionist, and it takes time and patience to make sure your results are stunning. You don't want a surgeon who boasts about how fast a procedure will be. You want amazing results the first time. 3. He works with the same amazing small team of nurses and anesthetists. This means they work together effortlessly because they have great rapport, and know the procedures and routines like the back of their hands. No large rotation of nurses and assistants here. Getting to meet everyone who will be present on the day of surgery gave me great peace of mind. During my consultation with Dr. Sherwyn, he informed me that I would be a good candidate for a vertical mammoplasty or Lejour technique. This breast lift technique only requires a lollipop shaped incision and no scar underneath the breast. This was an option I had hoped for, but no other surgeon had offered this technique to me. I left our meeting feeling confident in my decision and that I would truly be in the best of hands. So much so, that I finally felt my excitement to have the procedure overcome my nerves. Leading up to the surgery, I was given clear instructions. I always felt informed and there was never a delay in response if I had a question. Jon Katz the anesthetist (who was so knowledgeable, professional and hilarious) was generous enough to speak with me one month before the surgery to walk me through everything and tailor a plan to help me feel reassured and safe. On the morning of the surgery I was feeling nervous but more so excited that the day had finally arrived. Dr. Sherwyn began to mark me for surgery and based on the care and precision demonstrated in his drawing and measurements alone, I knew I was going to be in love with my results. Once in the operating room, Jon, asked me for my favorite genre of music. He proceeded to sing me an Earth, Wind & Fire tune and I fell asleep with a smile, and in a blink! When I woke up their amazing post-op nurse, Noreen, was there caring for me. She was so warm and comforting I felt like I was being taken care of by family. I had no nausea or pain after waking, only some mild discomfort at the most. I was surprised that I didn't need anything more than Tylenol for the first few days. My recovery has been incredibly easy. I actually had to remind myself a few times to follow the post-op guidelines because I felt so good and had forgotten I had surgery! Dr. Sherwyn has kept in close touch with me after the procedure. If I have any questions, I always feel I can reach out to him, as well as Nurse Carley and patient coordinators, Samantha and Stephanie. Everyone has been incredibly responsive and supportive. Dr. Sherwyn and his team care about their patients long after the surgery has taken place and this means so much to someone who is feeling a bit vulnerable and is healing. Fast forward to now, and I could not be happier! I'm absolutely over the moon...My incisions are already light and delicate and my results are natural and youthful. Seventeen years ago I was approved by Medicare to have eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), but I decided that if I was going to have my face operated on, I had other spots that could use 'improvement'. My quest for a plastic surgeon began. I interviewed recommended surgeons from Yale, New York, etc. After the 4th one said she 'wouldn't touch me with a ten foot pole', I asked her who would? The best of the best!!!!!! Miracle worker! I have had two major surgical procedures with him and the results are breathtaking! As a mother of 3 young children, worried about putting vanity ahead of their wellbeing, I spent many years researching my surgery.  I met with all the big-name superstar surgeons in NYC and London, read medical papers, scoured Real Self and scrutinised literally 100s of surgeons' before and afters. Of all the surgeons I met, Dr. Sherwyn was the absolute stand-out.  I had finally found the meticulous, perfectionist, caring professional who would be as driven as me in achieving the best possible surgical outcome from both an aesthetic and safety perspective. I am still amazed at the level of professionalism and meticulousness of Dr. Sherwyn. I was very nervous about my procedure (I had a 7cm diastases and umbilical hernia), as I've always wanted to have a natural aesthetic. The office is nice and everyone was friendly. She took the time to talk to me and explain other options for fillers etc. I has 40 units of botox and he did a lovely job. It looks very good and not frozen. I do not have many lines at all but I just wanted to keep my face looking fresh and I feel that was accomplished. Dr.Sherwyn is incredible. This is my second procedure with him (2 very different areas). He is conscientious, exacting and exudes the expertise that he is. I had surgery with Dr. Sherwyn in August, I met him two weeks prior to the surgery and he went above and beyond to fit me in. Tiffany is everything for botox. I have done it a lot. Office is lovely, clean I didnt have to wait, which happens often. Tiffany (very attractive "ill have what shes having) was knowledgeable and easy to talk to..
