Outdoor seating

When we walked in we were greeted by not just one employee, but two employees. This is what makes people come back! The hospitality and kind staff made the visit so nice. The food was OUTSTANDING. Fresh ingredients and quality ingredients. The pricing is very reasonable but the only thing I didn't totally agree with, a small cup of soup or $5.95. I thought that was pretty steep considering you only get a few bites out of it! Overall, the sandwich was incredible! The quesadilla was also good and the salsa.. whew! So dang good. A great experience and we will definitely be back!!

Napoleon on an croissant

I got a napoleon on a croissant and it was DELICIOUS! All the food was very fresh. The workers were very homey and happy.

The food was amazing!! There was about a 45 minute wait but it looked like there were only anout 2 servers, so it's completely understandable. 100% worth the wait though. Our server, Daisy was absolutely amazing! So sweet and nice.

Sort of off the beaten path, located in Copper Ridge, across from West Jr. High on Silver Lake Rd. The view is panoramic, very cool. Open for breakfast and lunch. The "Breakfast Skillet" is amazing! Potatoes, scrambled eggs, cheese and the very best homemade salsa I have had in northern Michigan as of this morning. My aunt in Texas makes something very similar, using a blender to make a salsa "sauce,' for lack of a better word. Tomatoes, onions, cilantro and peppers give it a nice "bite," which is hard to find up here. They offer a variety of both hot and cold sandwiches. The sandwiches I've had were excellent, very fresh and flavorful. Prices are reasonable and service is excellent. Designer coffees and teas served as well. And they have the biggest rice crispy treats, big enough to share with three other people!

Chai latte! Yummy and served piping hot

Slabtown is an…read moreabsolute 'must' for any burger lovers visiting TC; especially in the summertime when you can sit outside on their porch or surrounding patio. It's an old house that has been transformed into a burger destination. The inside is cramped, especially in the order area when they're busy, and indoor seating is tough to come by at peak times. The service has never been anything short of excellent on our visits. The staff is welcoming, helpful, patient, and friendly. Service is quick, even when they're slammed. Phenomenal burgers, O-rings, tots, and sweet potato fries. The Northwood's DRAFT (not fountain) root beer is a perfect pairing with their burgers. Slabtown's menu of specialty burgers is enormous and the BYO options include different protein choices and excellent GF buns. I've tried many of their burgers, but have to say that the Slabby Patty on a pretzel bun and the Pungi's Pepper Patty really stood out as a couple of my favorites. For a really sinful (and unhealthy) treat, ask for the gravy tots. Oh brother...insanely good but definitely a guilty pleasure. We've sent tons of our friends and family here, and I can tell you that every one of them has thanked us for the recommendation and raved about their burgers. So what are you waiting for? The bartender Curtis is on fire each and every time we are there. I hope you are paying him what he is worth. He works his a$# off and you would be in a world of hurt if you ever lost him. He does it all and with a smile on his face. Our waitress Alicia we have had the pleasure of her service 2x and she is our favorite waitress! She always has an eye on us regardless of how busy she is, we never feel forgotten about. She is kind, efficient and friendly! We always look forward to her waiting on us. Simple two sided menus, with drinks on one side, including breakfast/brunch appropriate cocktails, like mimosas and Bloody Marys, and food on the other. Ordered the Eggs Jenni with tots and it was excellent. Kind of dish I'll be craving. Service was perfect, attentive without hovering. Very clean as well. We were here previously with the fam, and everyone was happy then too. No reservations, so if you're coming on the weekend, or during tourist season, be prepared for a wait. Weekdays off season, easy to get a table. It is really a lovely place for brunch, especially if you want a cocktail. Not too many places like this in town. Worth the wait on weekends.

It has a beautiful brick interior which makes the space unique and quite cozy. There are two parts to the restaurant, a back seating area and a hallway seating area. I made a reservation for Sunday at 11:30am which I'm thankful I did as I overheard the hostess say the wait was over an hour to another party checking in. Our waitress was super friendly and took our order shortly after we sat down. The biggest downside to this experience was how long it took for our food to come out. It took 45 minutes for my group to get our food and when it did come out there was an error with one of the dishes, so it had to be sent back. Due to this error that group member ended up waiting close to an hour for their food, which was disappointing. Although the wait was long we all throughly enjoyed our food. I ordered the western omelette with fruit and rye toast, all of which were flavorful. The portions sizes were great for 1 person as well. Overall I had a good experience but would caution anyone going to allow ample time for the meal!
