Mini Sticky Buns
Andrea P.

This is an absolute must stop when in Traverse. The staff is very friendly and it smells absolutely amazing when you walk in. There are SO many bread choices, bagels, cookies, cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, the choices are endless. Come early as they sell through a lot of their inventory in the morning. Also make sure to check out their day old rack.

Wall of homemade breads..10/20/2018

I know I'm late on my review which is currently one year ago after stopping in here. I'm excused ...It's been a long stressful 2019 since March. We Stopped inside on a rainy Saturday morning October 20th, 2018 for their famous "Cherry Walnut Bread" and "Apple Pie Crumb Bread." I was told to stop in here after visiting my cousin the night before. She is a weekly and faithful customer in the city of Traverse City. I could smell the bakery outside before walking in. There was free coffee of course with 3 different flavors: Regular decaf and snicker doodle. It was enjoyable to start off with coffee while deciding on what I wanted to purchase besides the breads. I'm a scone gal so I enjoyed their scones.( photos always attached). While sitting enjoying my coffee and scone, I noticed a lot of local residents walking in that enjoy this neighborhood bakery since everyone knows each other by name. The owners are Steve & Stacy Wilcox. They sell retail and wholesale and many artesian breads. There is also an upstairs restaurant too! We were waited on by employee "Tiffany". she knew the varieties of bread and all different types of cookies, cakes and delicious baked goods made early daily at 4:00 am in the morning. www.baybreadco.com is their website. Most of their breads are priced at $5.95 the scones at $1.95. It's a very quaint, relaxing atmosphere and local corner Bakery. They also make homemade soup to dip in with a sandwich made from scratch on the breads. A Lunch time visit here would be comforting with a coffee and a dessert item as well especially in the Fall months. Stop in this neighborhood bakery which is right by the Bay !

Heartwarming box of fresh breads delivered in day of a funeral.

Amazing! This is not your everyday bread store, they leap to take care of every customer. We had an urgent delivery to send to a bereaved family and they delivered the most heart warming box of breads, scones, cookies, and brownies. Thank you Crystal and team, you made a difference today. You brightened the day during sad circumstances.

Great bakery. They have awesome fresh baked loaves and have a slicing machine so you don't have to slice it yourself. I highly recommend their whole grain loaf. The breakfast sandwiches are great too. They're made on the spot and are incredibly rich and filling. Definite spot to visit on a TC trip.

Huge Cinnamon Rolls

I have only been once but loved the experience. Was craving a breakfast sandwich was recommended Bay Bread Company. It was perfect, not too heavy sandwich. While I waited I got some treats for the house. The cinnamon buns were amazing. Took it him threw it in the microwave for 30 seconds, warm and soft like it just came out of the oven. Did the same thing the next day (usually second day it's not the same) it was just like the first one. I saw they make hot dog and hamburger buns. Looking forward to my next cook out, will make a special stop just to try some freshly baked buns with burger.

The selection at Bay Bread.

I've been coming to Bay Bread ever since it opened back when I lived in Traverse City, and have been coming back each time I'm back in town. The owner has developed a tremendous business by providing great bakery items made fresh daily with top quality ingredients. Her little shop is a gem in Traverse City. If only we had a bakery like this in Grand Rapids! Someday perhaps. Anything you buy at Bay Bread will be fabulous.

Good food, sandwiches are amazing. Rude staff every time I order a sandwich though. They make you feel like it's a huge burden.

Went in for sourdough bread and a lunch sandwich, no sourdough left at lunch time and only breakfast sandwiches. Very disappointed.
