It's a walk up window specializing in soft serve treats like cones, sundaes, flurries, shakes and malts. The ice cream is smooth and dreamy! I had the turtle sundae and it was divine! My mom went for a soft serve with strawberries and we were impressed that it was chunks of fresh strawberries, not a fake syrup. My husband went with an orange float and it was made with local Northwoods soda. It was all so good! They also have a menu of savory snacks like soft pretzels, nachos, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, and sloppy joes. We kept talking about stopping by for a pretzel but it didn't work out so I can't speak much to their savory offerings, unfortunately. The stand itself is adjacent to the GT Butterfly House & Bug Zoo and, upon looking the place up online, I learned that Kettlewell's is the name of a groundbreaking moth researcher and that's the kind of nerdy trivia that I live for.
