Glen Arbor's secret - a real deal Jewish deli shop with enormous sandwiches and variety of bagels. Get there before 10 AM because they do sell out TIp: order the half sandwich or if you and your dining companion like the same sandwich just get one and split it. At about 14 a2 to $15 apiece this is one of the rare exceptions where it is a good value because you will get two meals out of each sandwich. We ordered a Tripoli (ham, turkey, salami, and provolone, lettuce, and tomato) and a Gaza ( curried chicken, lettuce, tomato, shredded carrot, and peas) both on rye bread. Both sandwiches were made with high-quality ingredients and we would definitely recommend either of them. Again, I cannot stress it enough, the sandwiches are enormous, and you really should share. it feels like a grammar school, kind of a cafeteria, it's modern and clean, but not particularly in inviting or appealing or charming in any way. Service was patient with his first time, kind, and very helpful. Recommend!! I'd like to return in the future and try their bagels. I'm disappointed that I came at lunchtime and all they had left with cinnamon raisin and I'm not a fan of raisins so... Next time! read more

This place is the perfect place to grab a breakfast bagel when visiting Glen Arbor! I went two days in a row. I had the onion bagel with egg and cheddar, and it's perfect! I would love to try to lunchmeat sandwiches on my next visit. Highly recommend this. Don't expect it to be a go, grab and leave. It's a busy place so even if the line isn't long, you'll be waiting for a bit to get your order. I'd say, it's completely worth it, as long as you have the time! read more

This deli is an absolute gem. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and OMG the sandwich was fantastic!! I had the Tel Aviv on a cheese crusted bagel (I don't remember exactly which one it was) and it was so so good. My husband opted for the same sandwich but choose to keep it on their grain bread and also loved it. They have a large selection of bagels and sandwich options. Something for everyone! The molasses cookie was amazing! My family stopped here on our way to the beach to grab some deli sandwiches to go. The were loaded with yummy meats and very big. I am very glad I got the half size as it was more than enough. They were able to make plain sandwiches for my kids with no problem. It wasn't too costly and the staff was super nice. read more

Everything was just so subpar--the staff, the coffee, the bagels and baked goods. We had high hopes for this deli as the sister location in Glen Arbor was very busy and busy is a good sign. The Frankfort location was not busy. We were ignored and stood by the ordering area for several minutes before being grudgingly acknowledged. The coffee tasted like Folgers. The cherry scone was extremely dry and contained one cherry. The bagel was a run of the mill bagel. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Me and my sister stopped by one morning because neither of us wanted to cook on our vacation. There was already a line out the door when they opened and the 2 girls working were doing an amazing job! The young girl on register was bubbly and happy to answer questions. The girl working on the sandwich's was able to quickly get the sandwiches ready and out to us with only a 10 minute wait. The place is definitely more of a deli than a sit down restaurant but was still a cute little local place. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone in the Glen Arbor area. read more

This bustling bagel shop recently added a new location in Glen Arbor. I've had the pleasure of visiting the one in Frankfort before, though I haven't had the chance to visit the location in beautiful Beulah, yet. You order at the counter, the menu is above the counter to the left. We ordered: 1/2 Reuben on rye, egg salad on a plain bagel (me), and corned beef and mustard on an everything bagel. The later you come in the day, you may have to be flexible re: bagel or bread choices. But, the shop is okay with you making minor substitutions- I wanted mine on a bagel and originally it came on seven grain. It will add up, but it will be delicious. My mom tried the tabbouleh- she loves middle eastern food, but she said it needed more lemon juice or maybe, she didn't like the green pepper. read more

My sandwich was just ok. A bit dry but plenty of meat. Out of 9 grain bread. Husband's ruben was cold, not warmed. Never had a cold reuben before, so was not great either. Girl working counter was rude. Wouldn't return there because of her. But in the event you do go, drink needs to be ordered separately, and I guess chips do as well because I saw them in the corner. We spent $70 (including 15% tip) for a family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teen and 1 child). 3 sandwiches, 1 bagel, 2 drinks, 2 chips and 2 cookies...Their food was good. I ordered the Syrian (Hummus with all the veggies rolled inside a honey wheat pita). The veggies were a piece of iceberg lettuce, one slice of tomato and a handful of raw red onion, yum...not. I was starving after climbing the dune at SBD's and opened my sandwich to much disappointed...so I asked the clerk if this sandwich was supposed to be like this and he said yeah, didn't think much of it. I said well can I switch or get a discount or what do you suggest? He said let me talk to my manager. She was 5 feet away and told him no. So I paid for a new sandwich. She should have came over and talked to me herself, she looked at our family and saw everything we had gotten. I'm in the restaurant business and her manager skills are very poor. I know times are tough finding good employees, but if she was my employee I would have been disappointed with her customer service skills. I could have talked to her myself but I wasn't in the mood and I didn't want to be a 'Karen'.
