My latte was amazing, and my husband and I both got the bagel breakfast sandwiches and absolutely loved them. My husband isn't gluten-free or dairy-free, and he thought his was just as good as I did. This place was walking distance from our motel so we came here for some coffee. They specialize in vegan and gluten free items and they only offer nondairy milks for their coffee. I ordered an iced sleeping bear latte (love the name), which was espresso, milk, and lavender vanilla syrup. I typically only drink dairy milk but I chose almond milk as my choice of milk. All syrups are housemade, which I always appreciate. The latte was okay, but there wasn't much flavor and it wasn't as creamy as I would have liked. As someone who has celiac and struggles to find bakeries I was so excited to find this place. Their food is not only really good quality but tastes amazing. All of the employees were really sweet and helpful in taking everyone's orders and seemed to have a good rhythm. The location as a whole is such a cute little place both on the interior and exterior. I wish I could give third coast a higher review but every single item has coconut in it. So if you have a tree nut allergy it's important to know nothing they have is not Nut free. Gluten-free AND dairy-free is hard to find. This bakery is EXCELLENT. If you eat gluten, dairy or meat, you may or may not like this - depends on what you are getting I guess. My Lemon donut and pumpkin donut were outstanding- maybe a tad sweeter than necessary, but I was just happy to indulge in a gluten-free and dairy-free baked good. I am so glad Third Coast Bakery exists! Walking in knowing I'll have plenty of dairy free options was a dream. While in town for a few days we stopped for a morning coffee and donut. They were busy with quite a line but once they got another person on the register, the three person team got through the orders efficiently. We tried the donuts and I tried a breakfast bagel sandwich. All of it was delicious and just what I was wanting. The gluten free bagel was the best texture I've had from a gluten free bread item. Staff was friendly and helpful. Inside there are a few tables or outside they have a little picnic area if you want to stay to eat. Seems to be a popular place, had a long line in the am. They have quite a few interesting items on the menu. Went in for the lavender lemon scone, but they did not have it that morning. I had the lemon blueberry cake instead with the sleeping bear coffee. The coffee was great, the lavender is noticeable and more of an acquired taste. The cake was dry in my opinion. I visited their brand new store front this past weekend while in Traverse City. I have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to try their gluten free baked goods as I've been following them on social media for awhile. I was pleasantly surprised that the timing of my trip coincided with the brand new store. It is centrally located closer to downtown with plenty of parking. After seeing all the delightful treats on their Instagram page I was a tad disappointed that they didn't have quite the variety I was hoping for in the store. Everything here is gluten free, soy free and vegan which is awesome and very accommodating for many people with dietary restrictions. However, like many places that do a lot of vegan cooking or baking I noticed many of their items contained nuts. Sadly, I can't have nuts either :( I did end up getting a chocolate raspberry donut which was truly outstanding. It was moist, flavorful and had a good consistency. I brought my friend back a lemon glazed donut and he really liked it as well. A few of my friends tried the cookies and also the edible cookie dough, they all enjoyed everything.
