My friend and I came here on a recommendation and we are so happy that we found this place. We came on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all so it was perfect for us to take our time and have a little afternoon sake as well. There is an all you can eat option, but we both decided to do a-la-cart and honestly it was enough food for each of us. The quality was so good and it went so well with the nigori bottle that we chose. I forgot which bottle we chose, but I believe they have two options and we can't go wrong with either. The girl that worked there was so sweet and was so fun to talk to you, especially since it was not too busy at the restaurant. She had the best playlist going and we just talked about music and it was great!! Can't wait to come back!!

We have eaten at most of the places in the Anaheim packing district. We decided to try Rolling Boil for the first time before an evening of cocktails at The Blind Rabbit next door. This hotpot place is located downstairs on the south side of the packing district. You can either sit at the main counter, or at one of the standalone tables on the right side. Ordering involves selecting a broth, proteins, and sauces and rice. They have a la carte and all you can eat protein options. They also serve beer, sake, and a few cocktails. I chose the spicy Szechuan broth, the eight piece New York steak protein, brown rice, and the toasted sesame sauce ($23). They can adjust the spice level and I went with mild since I didn't want to blow out my palette before cocktails after dinner. It was pretty mild, and I would definitely order at least medium spice level next time. They also have hot drops if you want to add that to your broth. I was afraid that only eight pieces of meat would leave me hungry, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the cuts of meat were a good size. You also get a separate bowl of noodles and veggies to add to the pot. Without asking, they offered to serve us all three sauces to try. She chose the savory veggie broth, the eight piece chicken protein, brown rice, and the toasted sesame sauce ($20). She's picky about her chicken and did a little fat trimming before I could take a picture, lol. Our favorite sauce was the toasted sesame which had a nice nutty flavor. I also loved the citrus sauce. The sha cha sauce was good, but came in third. I enjoyed the protein in my bowl, but hers ended up being a little smaller serving after trimming some fat off the chicken pieces. The veggies and rice were good. The staff was friendly and checked on us often. Overall, it was a good meal at a reasonable price.

3 sauces on the menu and a secret house sauce, Beef belly and chuck roll, half and half spicy Szechuan and Thai coconut.

This wonderful restaurant is on the lower level of the Packing House. It's a very intimate setting especially when the employees slice the meats to order each plate. They are very attentive and kind with their service and portion sizes. They are also very patient for first timers (me!). We met two employees both named Alex who really made our experience special and personalized. I enjoyed mixing the Spicy Schezuan and Thai Coconut broth for a great balance of heat and flavor. They even let you decide the ratio for each broth in mixtures! 4 plates of meat later, I felt satisfied and full. 5/5 would bring family and friends back!

Our first time here and won't be the last!! The broth delicious and the service was WAY BEYOND our expectations!! Alex and Pepe were AWESOME so darn friendly and attentive. They made us feel welcomed they are a great team, the owner should be proud to have them represent his business!

Not a great experience unfortunately... I got the Thai coconut soup base which turned out to be very citrusy. I could hardly taste the coconut flavor. The citrus flavor itself wasn't bad, but it's just not what I would expect from a Thai coconut flavor. A huge downside was that my soup arrived fridge-cold. And my station took FOREVER to heat up my soup, hardly took it to a boil. When it eventually started boiling more, it was over ten minutes. Later, it was still barely boiling, just hot. I've never had this happen to me at a hotpot place before. $35 for the basic AYCE (all you can eat). Not a lot of meat options for that one( 4 choices). The first plate I got with the chuck rolls and pork tenderloin looked really fresh. However, my second plate with beef belly and chuck rolls was unsatisfactory. The beef belly had a lot of fat on them, and the chuck rolls this time were super thin slices and they even have brown spots in them. Not very red and fresh like the first plate I got... It also came with a bowl of white or brown rice and a plate of veggies with noodles and tofu that is refillable. Was surprised to see a hot pot place at the Anaheim packing house. Tiny space, seat felt a bit crammed though. The staff member was friendly. I would not go back, don't recommend.

Here at 12:55 pm, close to an hour after listed opening time. Talked to a very nice woman in the kitchen who made a phone call and said someone would come by in 5 minutes. Ten minutes later, still no movement. Phone call went straight to voicemail. Photo taken before we departed for something actually open. Perhaps the size of our 6 person party was too daunting?

How many of you have experienced #ShabuShabu, a subset of #HotPot? Along with #Bulgogi and #Pho, this is one of my favorite dishes while residing in SoCal. Check out all that meat!!!

AYCE Premium

TLDR: There is always something charming about dining at a bar table. There is also something charming about hotpot. This place provides both. The ala carte options are good, and the AYCE is a nice addition for parties with various appetites. The price is $5-10 more than the chain hotpot spots, but I'd pay the extra for supporting a local business. AYCE Premium: I chose the miso based soup just because it was familiar. You get rice, a plate of napa cabbage, noodles, mushroom, and broccoli to start and you have 7-8 choices of meat. The sesame sauce seems to be the restaurant's top choice, but I thought the meal would have been fine without it. The turnaround time of how often the staff would take your fresh set of orders is heavily dependent on how many people are eating at the bar, but they'll keep you in mind via mental queue if you let them know that you're ready to order again. Best cuts for me are the Ribeye and New York, which is important since those are the additional slices you get access to if you opt in for the premium. Beef belly was good, just to change things up a few rounds in. Service: It was alright. It's not the best, but it's far from being the worst. They found this fine balance of being able to take in a Friday rush with as little staff needed while providing what folks need without waiting too long. Ambiance: Anaheim packing house is already a good place to be. Pair that with a hotpot place that serves good food and it's a pairing that is hard to beat. The Friday night DJ also played a set that I enjoyed, which helped with the vibe. The conversation with my group was a touch challenging given that we were sitting side by side, but I don't mind.

You have to remember to rub the cat for good luck! Haha I took a selfie as proof that I rubbed the cat for good fortune. Hopefully it works for 2025! Lol The food is good. It's your typical hot pot place. You pick everything that you want in your hot pot, and it cooks right in front of you. It's really good and filling! Service was fine, no complaints there. It was very clean too. And luckily, no wait time or anything when I arrived. I was seated right away. I enjoyed a good meal.

Salmon Hot Pot

Hot Pot at Rolling Boil is good and piping hot! It's a different vibe and not the usual hot pot experience in a Chengdu or Szechuan style restaurant. The veggies were fresh. However the chicken and salmon were teeny tiny. Being in a place in buzzing Anaheim Packing District Food Hall, Rolling Boil is a good alternative to beat the crowd.

Ayce was GREAT! Server Donna was super helpful and explained everything clearly. Ate as much as I could in a beautiful little restaurant!

Surprised that this is part of the Chubby Group because their other restaurants are pretty good and known for their high quality so what happened here? It honestly just tasted like any other frozen dumplings you can find at the grocery store. To be honest, even some of Costco's frozen dumplings are better. I'll give it to their wontons in chili oil though. Started with those and thought it was pretty good. Their soup dumplings, har gow, and sui mai were nothing special. It wasn't terrible as in taste, it was just so similar to frozen dumplings. It just wasn't worth going out of the way to pay for that type of quality. Quick? Sure. Service was fine. Most likely will stick to their other Chubby locations but will skip on their dumplings.

Not necessarily, but they definitely have some dishes worth coming back for. Their wontons in chili oil are really good, and the crab roe noodles are delicious! Those are definitely two dishes I'd recommend trying. My biggest complaint is the pricing. I understand everything is getting more expensive these days, but some of their prices feel a little steep for the portions you receive. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least give customers portions that make them feel like they're getting their money's worth. Overall, the food is good, the quality is consistent, and I'd definitely come back. I just think a little adjustment to the pricing or more generous portions would make Qin Cuisine an even better experience.

Chow fun: super chewy noodles with tender beef and great color and not bland. Some of the best chow funs i have had recently 9. 5/10. I was a little upset we only got half and not the whole duck as it disappeared quickly. Not sure how it could get any better plus the presentation was just beautiful 10/10. The place was empty at 6pm for dinner on Wednesday. People must be sleeping on this spot, make sure to come out and give it a try, you won't be dissapointed.

First, we found…read moreout the restaurant is changing ownership, so there are a few things worth noting about the current dining experience. Some menu items are being discontinued, my rice came out cold, and a few of the decor choices seemed a little tacky. Meizhou is a great option for special occasions because the interior feels upscale and is one of the nicer-looking restaurants in the area. Today, we ordered the Sichuan Cold Noodles, Vegetable Fried Rice, Angus Beef Filet With Black Pepper, Chicken Pot-Stickers (six pieces), Dongpo Pork Belly With Preserved Vegetable, Garlic Stir-Fried A Choy and white rice. Unfortunately, the white rice came out cold, almost as if it had been sitting in the refrigerator. Thankfully, our server replaced it immediately, but it was still an odd experience. My favorite dish here is the Angus Beef Filet With Black Pepper. The meat is high quality, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. Meizhou is also well-known for its duck. We didn't order it today, but the half duck is always another great option! The meat practically melts in your mouth, which is one of my favorite things about it. Service has always been hit or miss here, so I think your experience really depends on which server you get. I love the food overall, although some dishes feel overpriced for the portion sizes. That said, the quality of the food is generally great. One last thing I noticed today, which isn't a huge deal but stood out to me, was a cup in the women's restroom containing a hairbrush, toothpaste and a toothbrush for customers to use. For a restaurant with such an upscale atmosphere, this felt a little out of place and tacky. Overall, Meizhou is definitely worth trying if you love duck or are looking for a nicer restaurant for a special occasion. I still enjoy the food here, but I'm curious to see how things change under the new ownership!
