Rollervile Cafe is a great place to go to eat. The decor is not that great and the food took a little long to get but the food tasted good and it was placed nicely. The biscuits in the gravy were a little stale but the eggs gravy and hash brown tasted great and you could also tell that the vegetables were fresh. read more

I stopped by this cozy little cafe after leaving the Point Arena Lighthouse after a local fisherman at the Wharf recommended it. It has a welcoming vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the regular-sized Fish & Chips, which came with 5 pieces of flaky cod, fries, Asian-style coleslaw, lemon, and tartar sauce. For about $20, it was a solid portion and definitely hit the spot. The kind woman brought me check while I was still finishing up, it wasn't a big deal. We were driving to see Point Arena Lighthouse. Looking for a good burger along the way. We found this awesome place. Super friendly when we walked in. Seated, brought drinks right away. Amazing service throughout. This little place rocked the best burger we've had. The flavors of these juicy burger was unbelievable. I ordered the frickles (fried pickles) with mine, and my fiance ordered his burger with fries. Whenever we visit Point Arena we make a point to eat at Rollerville Cafe. It's a little rustic inside but the food is always delicious and the servers are very friendly. One of their specials, which isn't always listed so you'd have to ask for it, is the Jalapeño Cream Cheese burger. It is so good! Burger, jalapeño, and a huge brick of cream cheese. Try it!! My other go-to is the Apple Burger, which is a hand made patty with apples and rosemary. It is great and a change from your normal burger. Even the fries are delicious, perfectly crispy and salty. Don't forget to try a milkshake too! The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. The parking is very limited however so get there fast for a spot! read more

We ate here twice while staying at the Lighthouse Resort (little single-wide rental cabins on the same property). The food was tasty, well-executed, reasonably-priced diner fare with no frills, and was served up by friendly staff. For the first meal (lunch), my wife got a fish taco that she described as "perfect," and I had a chicken strip basket. Her beer-battered fish was cooked perfectly, and my chicken-and-fries combo was simple but delicious. We had breakfast the next morning - we shared a half-order of biscuits and gravy, along with each getting the basic breakfast. The hash browns were crisp, the eggs cooked perfectly to order (you know it's a good diner when the cook delivers on the difference between over-easy and over-medium), and they kept the coffee coming. If you're looking for something cutting edge, this might not be the place for you; however, if you're staying at the cabins, or passing through Point Arena, and you just want some solid diner food, this is a gem. Have been going to Rollerville every time we come to the area, it has been a few years. I was so looking forward to going here again during this trip. The fish and chips have gotten so small and same with the prawns. The fish looked more like chicken nuggets with a thin piece of fish. The tartar sauce just tasted like mayonnaise. We don't like coleslaw so I asked if we could substitute something else. The waitress said it is just a small amount, I will just have them leave it off. I was headed to Better Place Forests with my friend to celebrate my birthday on Friday, May 16th. We'd determined earlier that we'd have lunch here since it was only 7 minutes away from our destination. This Cafe was a delightful surprise! I had the 3-piece cod fish and chips which I thought was excellent, just the right helping size, with a crispy crunchy outside and firm and flavorful inside without tasting "fishy" (to me, that's the sign of a great cook). And since I'd read another person's negative comment about the Asian coleslaw, I decided to add some of my tartar sauce to it and then the coleslaw became terrific and yummy! So remember this trick if you ever get their Asian coleslaw--it IS tastier with the tartar sauce! My friend had the plain hamburger which easily looked 3 inches tall! But she said it was quite flavorful even with the tomato, lettuce, sliced pickles, and onion within the bun. Neither of us left any crumbs on our plates! It's a tiny cozy little place that also has a nice outside deck--it was overcast the day we went, so we stayed inside. Service was quick and we had a very pleasant waitress. Roller Energy Dining options are at a minimum out here in Pt Arena, and my unwillingness to schlep over an hour away to the next "decent" restaurant led us here to Rollerville Café (RC) and it turned into a delicious experience. Located adjacent to the Lighthouse Pointe (sic) Resort, RC has been serving tasty diner-style dishes in this neck of the woods for over 15yrs now. Their slogan "The Last Café Until Hawai'i" is catchy--and technically true! The Good: *These boiz know their way around a fryer! The Frickles (deep-fried Pickles) and Baja Fish Tacos were both some of the best deep-fried dishes I'd eaten in a long, long time. Perfectly crisp beer batter and not greasy or oily at all! *Clam Chowder was quite good; tasty broth with the right amount of thickeness and fillings. Was it the best ever? No, but I will say out of the three clam chowders we got over our week vacation here in the North Coast it was by-far the best. *Chai Milkshake was a bit sweet on its own, but once the fried, savory and spicy goodies came out then it was the perfect foil to combat them. *Try the locally-made Chili Gods® hot sauce! *Friendly service and loved our dining companions. :D The Meh: *$1 surcharge for credit cards. Ummm... ok...¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Ugly: *Parking lot(s) are shared with hotel guests so you might have to do a few go-rounds to find a spot. Don't panic it's not DTSF on a (pre-covid) Sat night. You'll be fine. I promise. :) TLDR: Five stars might seem a bit extreme for a roadside café of this ilk, but when you can fry food this well, turn out an excellent chowder and provide excellent customer service--then I ask: why not five-stars?! This place is conveniently located at the corner of Highway 1 and lighthouse Road. It appears to be located next to a hotel/resort and has plenty of parking. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The service here was really great! She was friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. This felt like a local favorite. People with their families came for lunch. I was there with coworkers and ordered a jalapeño cream cheese burger. It was really good. It was on their specials menu, but perhaps should be a recurring item. It was delicious. Came here for lunch on my way through to Manchester KOA. The fish and chips were fantastic! Well seasoned, large portions and amazing tarter sauce for dipping. Wow! Had lunch that was SO delicious that had to try the breakfast! Ruben sandwiches were outstanding and the Frickles were a highlight! Fried pickles*. The fish and chips were just perfect as well, almost a tempura type breading and not greasy at all- fish was tender a flaky. Went back this am to try the breakfast offerings and they hit it out of the park once again! The 'Country' breakfast had the best sausage gravy we had ever tasted! I had the corned beef hash and it was just savory goodness. The mother and daughters that own this place, not only serve terrific food but are so friendly and welcoming! We will miss Lynne and her crew at Queenie's but now have a stellar alternative. Happy campers! read more

The food is relatively standard diner flair but there is clearly someone creative in the kitchen. The place is usually busy, and for good reason. Their lunch and breakfast options are delicious.
