4 stars mostly for their kimbap. Can't go wrong with them! Made fresh to order with a nice rice to fling ratio. Tteokbokki was spicy but the sauce isn't as thick as I'm used to but still tasty. Lots of fish cakes if you're a fan! Would prefer more veggies in it but that's just a personal preference. We like the soondae here as well! Would like to try their gimmari next time too. Solid spot for simple Korean style street food!

A taste of Korea! This unassuming snack shop serves affordable, tasty eats. ++ Regular roll: a solid 10/10 Odeng: good fish cakes and a good broth Kimchi: properly ripened kimchi is so rare, and this was a pleasant surprise - - Chicken fried rice: I know I know, no self-respecting Korean person would order this, but my non-Korean partner HAD to go wth this as the safest option that is not too spicy or too weird. In short, it was a disaster and a waste of hard earned money. Frozen veggies were all too familiar to us and seasoning was MIA. I'd absolutely go back, but stay clear of chicken fried rice.

COVID-19 Note Staff are all wearing masks and gloves. They prefer if you pay with cash which is not COVID friendly. The Food Food here is always good, definitely worth the visit for some take out. Most recently I went back and got some ham kimbob. Definitely not disappointed and they still have the same quality. The Service Their service is good, nothing too fancy either.

Rappoki and korean spring rolls (gimmari)

I stumbled on this place by mistake when my friend and I were looking for a place to eat. We didn't have any restaurant in mind so we were just walking around and decided to try this spot. This is a small restaurant, seems like most of their customers order food delivery or takeout. Nevertheless, we sat in the restaurant and ordered a combo with rappoki and korean spring rolls (gimmari). The food was delicious but hot! Not spicy, but the temperature was literally HOT. The tea was also served basically at boiling temperature. In terms of the taste the rappoki was on the sweeter side but still nice and spicy. The gimmari was fried very well, crispy on the outside and willed with hot noodles inside. Everything I would've expected from these dishes. It seems that their signature item is kimbap, unfortunately this time we didn't try any but I definitely would like to next time. Anyways the food here was good, not too expensive and a quick way to satisfy your cravings. If you're looming for a casual, no frills kind of restaurant, check this place out.

I've walked past this restaurant thinking to myself that I'd try it, and I finally had the opportunity to do so! In terms of seating, space is extremely limited given that the seating arrangements appear to be a bit close or clumped. Service was good as the server took our order right away after we took some time to decide. We had ordered one Combo Menu item and an assortment of Kimbap. We had the Tuna Kimbap, Shrimp Kimbap and the Kimchi Kimbap; all of which were delicious and were filling. I personally liked the Tuna Kimbap more, but the others were pleasant as well. For the Combo menu item, my friend ordered C09, which is the Roppoki (with Cheese topping) and the Dumplings for us all to share. The Roppoki was really good, it was a bit salty and sweet but it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be (probably due to the cheese topping). The dumplings were good, nothing too unique about them, and there was the Korean Spring Rolls that were ordered on the side which was different as I've never tried them before. From what I can grasp, the food is worth trying as I'd definitely come back here for the Roppoki and the Tuna Kimbap. It is good to bring a group but at best you'd have maybe like 4 people given that their tables are limited (we had to push two tables together to accommodate 4 people) so I wouldn't bring too big of a group here. So feel free to give it a try because it was a fun and pleasant experience for me.

    Beef Kimbap Roll

This review is just for kimbap! I've been here a few times already and consistently I've always got their beef kimbap cuz I like my beef! Their kimbap alone though is my all time favourite besides the fact that I haven't tried anything else hahaha! I've always loved kimbap in general and their's is perfect and easy to grab-and-go on days you want to have some along the way. A couple days ago, I revisited this place for some takeout kimbap and decided to try their tuna kimbap. Little did I know they were not using the tuna sashimi in the kimbap but instead tuna salad! It was a bit disappointing because I was looking forward to the tuna sashimi but I should have known given the price and should have checked yelp too...nonetheless the ingredients tasted pretty good and has been quite consistent every time I came. I also ordered my usual beef kimbap of course! In both rolls, I added kimchi too. Yuuuummmmzzz! Finally their service has been consistently friendly and patient. No change in that which is definitely a plus. I don't think I've come here during a busy time but they don't have too many tables so it's good for 4-6 people max for groups. But the number of people they can fit in the small restaurant I'd say is max 10-15? Regardless if I'm ever around and want some kimbap, I will always come back here. You guys should try it too if you haven't already!

I always order from here. I usually eat the cholmyun which is good and order two kimbap for lunch the next day. The kimchi and tuna kimbap are good. There is nothing to complain about taste. However, while eating my kimchi kimbap today I noticed that there was something hard in my mouth. I take it out. It's a freaking rock. Gross. I'm not sure how a rock was in there, but I don't want to know. I noticed that there was another review that had a similar experience to me - didn't realize it would be a reoccurring thing. I like the food, but I will not order again. That was gross.

Cheap and good. Ordered the kimbap, topokki and kimmari. The spice level of the toppoki is perfect for me. The rice cake very soft. The kimmari goes really well with the topokki sauce. Yummy.

Let's just say even though it was -17 and snowing outside... I still traveled to this place. Whenever I have a craving for a snack, it's a must! The place is quite small so there's not a lot of room for dine in but takeout is worth it too. The prices are surprisingly not too bad and below average even though the servings are generous. Service was very friendly and polite. Recommendations: kimchi kimbap and rappoki. Even though I'm not a big fan of kimchi, the kimchi kimbap is a must have every time I go. The texture and the taste fits so well together. As for the rappoki, I've noticed that the sauce is a little different then the ones you order from other places. Their sauce was a little sweet but the after taste and effect will numb you! Spicy but so good!

I had to double check the photos and address to make sure I wasn't reviewing the wrong restaurant. Not sure why the reviews are so high. Between a 2-3 star for me. Anyway, I loved that the prices are very affordable, but that does not mean you will leave feeling full. Went here with two elites and we were able to get a table right away on a Monday evening. However, we only received two appetizers. Perhaps they ran out of apps that evening? I ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice. It was very tasty but the portion wasn't that big and I was actually able to finish it all. Quite a bit of mosquitos lingering our table. Please don't bite me... I would not recommend eating the ramen here as it seems they might be using the noodles from the spicy Korean instant noodles. I saw a bunch of the packages stacked inside the kitchen. You can get this at any Asian supermarket for a $1 ish. Waitress was friendly and helpful.

    bulgogi gimbap
    Tuyet Anh Đ.

These people do Gimbap right 5*s for ONLY their Gimbap. Everything else that we tried they don't really do justice. We ordered the bulgogi and the kimchi gimbap and it was so bomb. This isn't your average get full korean restaurant, its more of a snacks and chill. If you want like good hearty spicy dishes you'll get full from you'll be disappointed (or at least I will be). Neither of their gimbaps were overpowering when it came to flavour and they offered the classic pickled yellow radish and kimchi with soy sauce as dipping which was amazing and on point. We also ordered deokbokki and rabbokki and it was okay, I've had better but the Gimbap here is definately the best. That's what theyre literally named for.

    Fish cakes noodles @ Roll
    Cindy L.

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? Damn I should have tried the Kimbap. Didn't appreciate that they didn't have lots of non-spicy dishes so ended up ordering some noodle with fish cakes. I was first eyeing the kimbap but decided not to since the ingredients didn't really stand out to me (Tuna or cheese or beef?). I guess I'm not really used to these ingredients in a roll. There were only a few side dishes and they weren't my favourite so I didn't really have any. My elite friends ordered a Korean instant noodle and Kimchi fried rice. The Fried rice was actually not bad. My noodles portion were really big but seemed to be lacking some flavour. I didn't end up finishing it because just seems a bit boring the dish. Seems like a noodle dish you just whip up at home. I kind of get a feeling this place provides "Home-cooked"-like Korean dishes and seems to be a favourite amongst students and younger people. The prices were very reasonable. The decor left more to be desired and there were flies and bugs everywhere. That's probably because they left the door open for better ventilation. The waitress wasn't that fluent in English, we had troubles communicating. Overall, the food was okay, nothing really stood out to me. It's another one of those Korean places for people with a more spicy palate. Needless to say I will most likely not be coming back.

Cheese kimbap, Rappoki with cheese and beef Kimbap
    Christina W.

Love their kimbap. I have spent many years walking by this Korean restaurant only to find out that I'm missing out on really great Korean fare. Ordered the rappoki with cheese and cheese and beef kimbap. Between 2 of us, we were super full and had leftovers to take home. The only complaint I have is that there was not a lot of rice cake in the rappoki! Maybe like 8 pieces in total. Everything was fresh and had the refreshing quality you would expect though. TL;DR Order the kimbap for a cheap meal.
