The food was delicious. They source all their food from a local organic butcher in McLean -- you can immediately taste it when you take your first bite! This location is built mostly for take out orders, so the dine in option is limited and small, especially if you have a group larger than 5 or 6. However, easy garage parking that is free. They also have a ton of promotions on Uber Eats so highly recommend you take a look at ordering via that platform.

I used to love Roll Play, but it has gone downhill. It used to be so cute and funky inside and now, after a renovation, it's just dull and corporate. Staff is still very friendly and I appreciate their hours. I still love their magnum rolls (or whatever they are called these days). I ordered egg rolls recently and gone are the deliciously addictive, crisp appetizer that I once loved; now they are bland and limp. I'll probably still return, but it's just sad to see what has happened.

Came here with a friend and we decided to order via Uber eats because I saw they had a lot of good deals online. It was buy one get one free for the majority of the items. Of course the prices are a little marked up, but I think the deals were worth it. If you spend more than $25 you get a dessert trio or a chili set and we decided to get the mango Sago dessert. We also ordered the chicken rice bowl, which was good. It tasted very fresh and light with a lot of different vegetables. The spring rolls were hot and fresh, but I would probably pass the next time. I got the notification that my order was ready, but it still took a couple more minutes nonetheless it was still pretty good.

Great food, but pricey! This sandwich with beef was $24. Great flavors, but get your wallet ready!

It is hard to tell in this picture but Roll Play will load up your bowl with protein, noodles, and veggies. I got the beef combination pho and enjoyed all the different cuts of beef, especially the oxtail, so tender and flavorful. I grabbed oyster sauce and siracha but did not use it because the broth was seasoned SO WELL. I plan to come back soon for the oxtail bahn mi! This location recently changed their interior and now has plenty of seating inside. It is always clean and service is always swift and friendly. Don't worry about coming here when it is too hot outside because the AC is strong too. The mango sago dessert was not my favorite, texture was a little too slippery for me. However I did enjoy the coconutty/tart flavor and the oats in the bottom!

If your friends want to go out, but you're trying to stay on a diet, I think I would recommend that you go to Roll Play. The reason why is because you can just get a bunch of meat and summer rolls and it doesn't hurt your diet too much. While the prices are admittedly on the higher side (except for the summer and egg rolls) the flavor is good. The oxtail and American Wagyu is a bit of a buzz word dish in the sense that it just means that the meat that you're getting has a higher fat content (hence wagyu). Tapping said the meat is very tender, and it has a very mild meaty broth flavor. I honestly couldn't taste the difference between the beef brisket in my summer roll and the pulled oxtail in American Wagyu meat. The summer roll was filled with crunchy vegetables and came with a lovely spicy peanut sauce, but I would say that spicy peanut sauce was not very spicy at all. I almost thought that they just accidentally gave me regular peanut sauce. That being said, it is still a good and rich watery peanut sauce. The Vietnamese iced coffee is bold sweet and creamy, and it will make you have to use the restroom. There seems to be only one restroom, but it is well maintained. It is located off of 7 and that can be a little bit stressful because traffic is there is unrelenting and getting out is kind of annoying. However, there's a good amount of parking on off days a.k.a. a rainy Sunday.

Omg loving the new remodel and the 90s themed song track during lunch today! It seems less urban and more modern industrial vibes now. I love that there is always something new to try on their menu too. Today I ordered the banh mi dip (which is just a extra pho broth side). I typically order a side of pho broth to do this anyways so I love that they added an option for it to be combined on the menu. I was very excited to see on Uber Eats that they had more freebies with certain order limit. I had tried their slow oats creations a couple months ago which were fun to try but hit or miss for me. Today I scored chili crunch and more chili sate to cook with! I love scoring these roll play sauces to cook with and my friends always ask me about them when they come to my house. Great advertising Very tasty food! Everyone in my party enjoyed themselves and left happy and full!

Roll Play has become a preferred take-out option for Vietnamese fusion dishes. I think the kiosk self-service is great as you can choose exactly what you like, or you can order in advance. If you're not in the mood for pho, the summer rolls with pork belly or shrimp are yummy. This place has a casual and fun vibe. Be sure to ask for the Vietnamese dipping sauce if you're getting the summer rolls! The only downside is that indoor space is limited and a bit cramped (3 tables maximum) so it's much easier to do take-out. Also, parking is limited near the front of the restaurant but you can go to the garage (entrance just to the left of Roll Play) and have your ticket validated. Hope to return and try their beef or chicken pho at the restaurant during the winter months (at an off-peak time).

I have been a huge fan of Roll Play ever since they opened, and even though I left the DMV, I always hit it up when I visit. The quality of the food and portions are consistently good. It's great to see they now have other locations.

Oxtail pho. DELICIOUS!
Rizma W.

You have got to try the oxtail pho. It is absolutely divine! It comes with a good portion of pulled oxtail meat, and of course all of the customary veggies. I think that some of the juices from cooking the oxtail are added to the pho broth which just gives it this incredible depth of flavor. Despite the description, it's really not spicy. There's some chili flakes in the broth but it's way more for flavor than for spice. I don't like spicy food and I would tell you if it was spicy. The service was quick and the staff were really nice. They also offer free bottled water for customers, which is also nice. Parking is a little tricky. There are limited parking spaces in the parking lot, but the garage is free. Throughout the day you can also walk through the glass doors in the parking garage: once you exit the second set of glass doors, turn right and you'll be right at the restaurant. It's easier and safer than walking along the parking lot ramp to get to the restaurant.

This is very much a to go (fast food) spot for Vietnamese food. If you're looking for food on the go or delivery, it's a decent spot. Otherwise, I wouldn't really go out of my way to dine in here. For one, the spacing is pretty tight, but the overall aesthetic is also kind of gloomy. Service is okay. They take your order at the counter and then bring it to you. The rest is available to grab (plastic utensils, water, etc.). This is one of the sadder phos I've ever had, so definitely encourage others to try other dishes. There is a free parking garage, but it's a pretty small one.

It was Saturday afternoon between 2-3 pm and it was raining. The place was packed! I was noticing that the food on the real plates and bowls, no more papers!!!! You guys listen, I was so excited to eat hot pho in a real bowl!!! I think this place needs a bit more room to move around, crowded today and everyone were nice moving around and taking turns to pass each other bc two people cannot fit while walking, very intimate bc we were so close to each other. The food was delicious and the pho soup was jut perfect, very hot, love it! One thing about the pho rice noodles, it was cut up or overcooked this time, noodles broke apart so easily and not as aldente. Maybe it will be better next time.

Are there gluten free options?

I think so...

What is the parking situation (knowing how congested Tyson's Corner is)?

There's not a lot of parking right in front, but there is a parking garage to the left that they will validate parking for! Just remember to have them validate it before you leave the restaurant.

My family and I were in the area and decided to online search for dinner recommendations. Fortunately, we stumbled upon this gem! It was easy to find since the shopping center is right by the metro, and seems very accessible by both car, bus, and metro due to its location. We were seated promptly and our orders were taken in a timely manner. Food came out in ~10 minutes (fast service!) and served warm. We tried the egg roll appetizers and one order each of their banh mi, pho, beef/rice, and egg roll/vermicelli dishes. I personally loved my egg roll/ vermicelli dish and felt it was a good sized portion. The egg rolls were served nice and crunchy, while the vermicelli was cooked so well, not clumpy or mushy at all :) Overall, we were very happy with our experience and would come back!

Not the most convenient location for Pho if driving but glad commuters have this option near the metro stop. I've came here on some late nights and I appreciate them accommodating my order close to closing time. I've try various meat combinations for their pho and their mango smoothie. Flavors were on point and the large size does have quite a lot. But wish they provided more bean sprouts. Everything is pretty pricey for pho and the drinks, hence the drop in stars.

Nue was the fine dining recommendation, and I have to say it was a great introduction to Vietnamese cuisine. As far as parking, there is a garage within walking distance of the stores and restaurants, so parking was pretty convenient. The restaurant itself was beautifully designed. It was dimly lit, spacious, and had a really nice atmosphere. Our waitress was also very knowledgeable about the menu and offered some great suggestions, which was especially helpful since I wasn't very familiar with Vietnamese food. The menu was pretty expansive, and I have to say some of the cocktail descriptions immediately caught my attention. I tried the Lychee Sunset Fizz, made with Hornitos Blanco Tequila, lychee liqueur and lychee, calamansi, yuzu and grenadine. I tend to go for sweeter drinks so this was a nice balance. For food, the Seafood Chả Giò was one of my favorites. It had wild Gulf shrimp, lump crab, Berkshire pork, taro, carrots and fresh herbs. It definitely seems to be one of their headlining items because it was something I noticed quite a few people ordering, and I can see why. But my absolute favorite was the Snow Crab Fried Rice. It had hand-pulled snow crab, shrimp, shallots, eggs and oyster mushrooms, and it was so flavorful and filling. Honestly, I regretted not ordering another portion to take home because I would have happily eaten it again later. All in all, I would definitely return to Nue to try some of the other items on the menu. I'm definitely not finished with my Vietnamese food journey yet, but this was a really great stop along the way. If the Snow Crab Fried Rice is any indication of what's still waiting for me on the menu, I have plenty more to explore.

I'm a big sandwich fan and generally make them at home because most shops don't add enough meet or toppings. I think I found my new sandwich shop. Checked out the menu and had to decide between the roast pork and broccolini or panko breaded fried chicken sandwich. Both sounded good, but after I found out the roast pork shoulder is made in house, the decision became really easy. My friends ordered the fried chicken with double chicken ($4.00 upgrade). The staff were very friendly and efficient. It was close to closing but everyone was super nice. They called us to pick up our orders and I was somewhat surprised by the feel of my sandwich. It has some heft to it. I sat down, opened it, and you can see what I had in the photo. Good bread can make or break a sandwich. My sandwich roll was slightly toasted with a good crunch and the inner part was nice and chewy. The sandwich had the perfect ratio of pork and broccolini and was covered in melted cheese and had a mayo/mustardy sauce. There was also just a touch of what tasted like crushed red pepper which just set the sandwich off. I was thinking Reading Terminal Market level of good. My buddies chicken sandwich was ridiculous. Two fried chicken breasts with all the toppings on a nice roll. It was tasty. This place is a real deal sandwich shop. The have the standard sodas and also have Dr. Brown's, Perrier water, San Pellegrino, draft beer, and other beers and seltzer drinks in cans. The chips are the Dirty and Route 11 chips. It's like they selected the best things to go with their sandwiches. Location is a little tricky to find and parking is tight, but it's totally worth the trip. I will definitely be back, but probably get everything to go. If you want a really good sandwich that is stuffed with filling for a fair price, you need to come here and try it out. You won't be disappointed!
