This is not one of the restaurant's location. Drove to it and it's only a werehouse and a bunch of food trucks parked here.

The atmosphere is great and the food is even better! We go almost everytime we're back in the DMV.

With FB, you're fortunate to explore a sampling of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai & Vietnamese dishes respectively. The DIFFERENCE from most Asian fusion places is that each dish is a cultural stand alone. For example, if you order Kim Chee fried rice, you'll get a Kim Chee fried rice that you'd get at a Korean restaurant. Fried pork chops? Classic Vietnamese flavors. Their presentation may be a little different, but it is the flavors you'd get at a Vietnamese restaurant. Don't be intimated by the chili next to the menu items...it can be adjusted for the non-spicy friends joining you. The besties said they found a restaurant right down the road from where we live. We were there on a Sunday at 11am. It was fairly empty, but I heard it gets quite busy and I can understand why. They also have a bar so they serve drinks there.

We laughed about the item I wanted to order not being available. They were attentive to the older ladies I was with. No complaints. The server is why this is two stars instead of one. Sadly, the food. Sigh. I know all these fusion places are disappointing, but mom wanted to come here. I asked if I could get the salad I wanted without the beef it comes with, but the answer was no. After reading the way too big menu twice, I ordered what I knew would be an incredibly sad drunken noodle. I'm not sure the restaurant knows what drunken noodle is. Does Fuse Box exist in an alternate pocket dimension where drunken noodle, with no listed fusion on the menu other than a strange "contains peanuts" warning, is drenched in a sweet peanut sauce even though it's listed as spicy with two peppers next to it on the menu? Where the noodles are just weird soggy mush? Where the spiciness rating scale might actually be a sweet sugar scale instead? Yes. Yes it does. Don't eat here. Just don't. I refused to eat my food. And not even mom suggesting it again in the distant future when she thinks I've forgotten, or she's forgotten my reaction to the food, will get me to return.

Kumo is a family favorite even for my friends the live out of town. When they come in they want to come Back to Kumo. We have never had a bad experience here. The staff and waiters are always nice and welcoming. Service and food is never slow and the food is always prepared well and consistently. My favorite dish here is the shrimp tempura it's THE ABSOLUTE BEST and the reheat ability is also top tier with an air fryer. They have a wide variety of sushi and appetizers, and also have hibachi. Which is awesome when you want that dish without the show and the price premium. Everyone certainly will find something that they like here. The inside is nice, but can get slightly cramped when it's busy but it's cozy. The music is lively, the locals love it, and it's also great for birthdays. I highly recommend giving them a visit.

While the people working were nice and checked in with us many times, the issue was with us receiving our orders. We had a larger party, and expected a longer wait for food, which was fine, but the food came out at different times. By the time the last person got their food, the first few people were already finished eating. For food, I ordered a spicy salmon roll and a salmon skin roll. The fish-to-rice ratio on these was good, pretty typical order. This isn't the best salmon skin roll I've had. The salmon skin wasn't crispy because they left some of the meat on, which could be seen in the roll, so it was hard to chew through at times. This is serviceable sushi, but doesn't sit high on my list.

The atmosphere: The restaurant is spacious, and I like it when the outdoor area is open since it has a shaded setup and a fire pit. Otherwise, there's still plenty of indoor seating. The food: We started with the Korean Fried Chicken in the soy garlic flavor, which was probably my favorite part of the meal. It came out hot and crispy. We also ordered two rolls, the Double Toro Roll and the Double Salmon Roll. Both were drenched in a Japanese dressing or soy-based sauce, which caused them to fall apart almost immediately after picking them up. The flavor was overly sour and salty, making it hard to taste the freshness of the fish. Overall, the balance of flavors felt completely off. We also tried the Spicy Crunchy Tuna Bites, and to our surprise, the only crunchy element was a small part of the outer rice shell. Everything else was chewy and overloaded with mayo, so it wasn't a favorite for us. The service: The service was a bit touch-and-go throughout the meal.

The food was excellent and the reason why I gave this place 4 stars. We stopped here for a brief & small dinner of appetizers before going to the movies. We ordered summer rolls and calamari. The food was well prepared. The calamari was the best I ever had. The summer rolls were good but not the best I ever had. These were the highlights. The downside: Glasses & dishwater looked old. Scratch or wear marks on rims of glasses. The ice water they gave us tasted like it came from a faucet or unfiltered. There were no happy hour drink specials or dining specials. Service was quick to seat us yet slow in taking our orders. Even though the calamari was the best I ever had and the highlights of this restaurant, I was not compelled to re-visit this place as soon as possible like other restaurants in the past. There are other Thai places in the area that offer excellent prices for excellent & larger quantities of food with dining specials. Yet this place is convenient and close to the movie theater and stores . The food is excellent to good for fair prices as well

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I feel people…read moreshould know what to EXPECT. The service was very poor from start to finish. WE MADE A RESERVATION as we came in to celebrate a birthday, yet we were told that we had no reservation and then later in the system found our time slot. Our waitress repeatedly gave us incorrect information and then tried to argue about it later. For example, we asked how many skewers came with the chicken satay because we were a party of five. She confidently told us 5-6 skewers. When the dish arrived, there were only four. The Thai tea was also the worst I've ever had. It was unbelievably sweet, almost like drinking syrup rather than tea. The biggest issue was the "special of the day," which was a pampano fish priced at $35. We ordered it and then waited...and waited...and waited. We asked the waitress multiple times about it and received no clear update. After a long time, we finally decided to just get the check because the dish still had not arrived. At that point she suddenly told us the fish could not be canceled because it was already cooked. This was the first time anyone mentioned anything about a long wait. The dish had still not even been brought to our table while we were having this conversation. Instead of acknowledging the delay, she insisted that she had already warned us about the wait time, which simply was not true. What made the situation worse was the attitude. Once we politely pointed out how long we had been waiting, the waitress became visibly annoyed and started speaking to us with a tone. At one point she said, "This must be the first time you are here." I'm still not sure what that was supposed to mean, but she's correct about one thing. It was our first time there and it will definitely be our last. To make matters worse, the bill was shockingly high for what we ordered. For a table of five we had three appetizers, two entrees, and the fish special. The total came out to about $200 before tip, and around $225 after tipping. For the quality of food and the level of service we received, the price felt completely unjustified. Between the poor service, confusing information about orders, and very high prices for what you get, the entire experience was disappointing. There are far better Thai restaurants in the area with better food, better service, and much better value.
