We spent the morning posted up while our guide tried calling, but we didn't hear any gobbles. After not getting any responses for over an hour of daylight, I told the guide we should move locations or hike around. We hiked a bit and did come across some turkeys, but they spooked from far away (they seemed like very pressured birds), so we went back to the original spot to try to call them, but still no responses for an hour. So we drove to a new spot which ended up being on public land, where we sat for another hour with no gobbles being heard from anywhere. At 1030am the guide decided to give up and ended the hunt.

I said 'Guide' above because Dave told us he was not being paid for his services because Rich had recruited him days before our hunt and Dave was not yet sure that he wanted work for Rich and Webfoot Outfitters. Recognizing the situation and our disappointment with the lack of cover/blind/dog, Dave did take the initiative to buy some fast grass, stakes, netting, zip ties, and buckets, so we could help him construct a blind on the levee road for our hunts on Tuesday and Wednesday, where we did manage to get a few birds, although we lost a greenhead in a ditch behind us, no more than 6 ft across, 3 ft deep, and 40 ft from our 'blind'. My hunting partner and I expressed our disappointment with the experience and lack of resources and Rich did apologize and offer us a 50% discount for a future hunt, which was kind of him.. This experience did teach us a lesson: we learned to ask specific questions when dealing with an outfitter, whether on the phone or at a show: 1 - are you the outfitter? 2 - will you be the guide for all of our hunts? 3 - do you have a trained and experienced dog the will be used for all of our hunts? If any answers are 'no' above, then I'll move onto another outfitter....If all of the answers above are 'yes', then ask: 4 - what style/type of permanent blinds will we be hunting? 5 - where will we be hunting (specific locations)? Good luck and good hunting! Rob Coulson

They custom make everything so there is a minimum 4-8 week lead time. These are extremely complicated and precise tools used to make precision rifles, so average firearms enthusiasts in the precision rifle world will probably not understand what PTG does. I have personally purchased many chamber reamers, resize reamers, and headspace gauges and several rifles I have that use Stiller Actions have PTG bolts. PTG replacement bolts are almost the ubiquitous option for a trued Remington 700 action. You have to know what your doing before you order, if you don't understand any of the concepts then ask your smith to help explain what these tools do and why. Not a business recommended for mindless consumers.

They have great prices and when it comes to service after the sale you can't do better. As an example; bought a new EDC Glock 43x moa. The trigger was 7 pounds at the "wall". John the manager and Glock armorer installed a three spring kit at no charge that immediately dropped it to 4 pounds and gave it a cleaner break and a nice "floor". I love it. That also helped me get the first shot on target. Great prices, excellent service, friendly folks! Please pay no attention to those reviews left by "out of towners". Makes me question why they stopped by Welburns, but I doubt that they were there to buy anything.

Secondly i enquired about a specific pistol, which not only did they have, but they beat every other local gun shop anywhere from $15-40, and they didn't charge for the background check! Two of the competitors were a couple of the highest volume sporting goods sellers nationwide, you can likely guess who I might be referring to! Both employees, a manager and a young lady were courteous, highly professional and knowledgeable. It's a tiny little shop, but they have an excellent inventory, including some hard to find ammo. If you are in the Rogue Valley and haven't checked this place out yet, you are missing a winner

Don't worry when you follow the directions on where to park and see no business or signs. They literally meet under the bridge next to the parking lot. Before the boats arrived we started seeing others gathering and a random woman approached us to check us in and arrange the people waiting by how many are in their party. We finally boarded the boat and the fun began! The captan made sure to offer speed boat thrills on the way to Discovery Park. We were drenched and our backpacks soaked after a few minutes. We were cooled down from the extreme temperatures of 119 that day. Discovery park was surprisingly a strip of land that straddles the rouge river and an enormous pond. The land area is a few acres with a full bar/snack bar, covered tables, gift shop, porta potties, misting coolers, trees for shade, grassy places to set up a picnic blanket, music and more. Of course the main attraction is the huge pond with a floating dock, slide, pedal boats, paddle boards, life vests, etc. We enjoyed 3 hours of water play, snacks, and relaxing in the shade. Overall, the Discovery park is great for families.
