Talk about a great store. I have not seen anything like this in CA. Plus the one me there just closed last month. The stuff here is more relevant to use anyway and actually useful. Oh boy...well I have to say, this store is pretty much the Holy Grail of Military Surplus stores!! One could easily spend hours browsing their humongous amounts of inventory that have no doubt been curated over years and years of collecting! No joke, the store is packed from floor to ceiling with all things military/survival/outdoors/backpacking/tactical/weaponry/what have you! They have the usual surplus uniforms from all services and all nations throughout the ages (which is pretty cool if you think about it...I found a WW1 helmet, and some really cool Russian hats...ahem, excuse me, covers), and of course camo gear to outfit the entire population of Medford. Lots of signs, patches, stickers, and pins as well from all branches of the military (their pin case is enormous), and I believe they said they were the largest supplier of paracord in the area (of course, we had to get some)! Lots and lots of tactical gear as well, along with an awesomely large selection of backpacking gear!! Lots of water purifiers, lightweight containers and gear, bug sprays, repellents, eating utensils, outdoor cookwares, and such. And of course, the beloved MRE's. Couldn't forget those! There are also parachutes, tents, mosquito netting, Ghillie suits, and backpacks...its pretty much a store you have to come in and experience for yourself! You never know what you might find! Lots and lots of interesting and unique gear, and in rifting through the quantities of inventory you might find something you just can't live without! A super fun place, and the guys behind the counter are pretty cool as well. I definitely recommend stopping in here, if nothing else just for a browse and a history lesson! read more

I wish I could reply to all the leftist socialist bolsheviks on here against these great people who work hard for their masking policies. There is too many people with nothing better to do then "report them" etc etc. Well I'm a disabled veteran who CANT wear a mask and I am refused service almost everywhere I go. I fought for this country and now I can't get groceries or go in a restaurant?! EF YOU!!! I say "EF you" to all of you people who would try and destroy what others have built. You know that if you're vaxxed and if you're masked then you're protected and it doesn't matter what someone else does. On checking out I asked why the cashier was not wearing his mask-it was around his neck. He made a joke about how he didn't need it. Well my husband, a 77 year old veteran and I at 73, thought his response was irresponsible and disrespectful. They were also letting others walk around with no mask in place. read more

This is a big and very popular store for those seeking weapons (not firearms), tactical and survival supplies plus military clothing and accessories. If you are looking for a night-vision device, they have a good selection and a dark room where you can test it.. They have a huge selection of knives: I like the K-bar knife for a general outdoor knife, but when I don't want to carry a heavy knife, the Glock survival knife is excellent. I prefer it when snowshoeing. Always carry food, water, signaling device, survival blanket and sheath knife, maybe shovel too when taking trips on the snow. We first tried snowshoes as part of a one-hour free class given by an outdoor store. Our guide/instructor got lost and we had a three hour hike. read more

Dropped my Grandma off at Bingo and decided to check this place out as I'm visiting from out of town. They have a huge selection of all military related gear and survival items... Think next visit I'll be coming here to get everything I need to create my earthquake survival go bag (I'm from California.) Great customer service! The team is very friendly, helpful, and they check in often to make sure you're finding everything alright. I've been to surplus stores in CA where they're surly and don't give a f--- about the customers, so it was quite refreshing... Though I found folks are just nicer in Oregon. I have been to so many Army Navy stores claiming to be well stocked. This placed is amazing!! Such a huge selection of many products. Was looking for a sharpening stone and found not just 2 or 3 but 30 different choices. This goes for all the other items. So many choices within a given product line. As far as the mask issue goes, suck it up you pansies. If you don't like it don't go in. Don't chastise a business for making their choices. Just like they didn't chastise you for wearing one. Decent for what it is. By no means the best mil surplus store, but they have a wide variety of gear and literature. Would be nice to see them stock more quality gear and not so much of the Chinese crap. They do have a fair amount of older actual mil surplus from many different countries, which is a nice change of pace. I don't know what that Amanda M. lady is talking about as racial profiling goes. Their employees tend to roam the store and help people. Maybe she has a guilty conscience or simply an SJW disposition. Then again, she's in the chair force so go figure. read more

The boyfriend and I are both active duty Air Force, and used to enjoy coming to this store. At least twice now, several different employees have followed us through the store while we browse and try things on, repeatedly asking if we needed help. We were the only customers they offered to take the merchandise up front while we continue to shop. Customers with lighter skin did not receive that "courtesy", despite having merchandise in their hands. These folks need to catch up with the times and work on their biases. read more

I want to support my children and their interests while supporting local businesses. However, after my first visit, I was disappointed for numerous reasons. Firstly, a sign on the door states masks must be worn by all. The singular mask worn by staff was by the lady vacuuming, not a single cashier wore a mask nor did they enforce masks with the bare faced customers. Given the county made national news for our COVID rates, it was sad and maddening to see. Secondly, a majority of the goods were foreign made knock-offs. After a fair bit of digging I made a purchase, my young son has entered the age of military fascination and intrigue. He wants to go in-person desperately to this store. I went first to scope it out, but it doesn't feel safe. Lastly, they have many southern flags scattered throughout the store, it makes me feel unsafe, again, for a different reason. I would gladly throw my money at the store if had better quality goods and felt safe, physically and ideologically, to go shopping there. My veteran husband agrees! read more

This place is outstanding! First, the staff and the owner are exceptionally kind and helpful. I was surprised to see such incredibly large sizes available. They have mud boots up to size 21. Most of their shirts and pants go all the way up to 5X. The inventory is massive. And just because I'm mentioning large sizes they have all sizes and plenty of them. The camping gear, hats, beanies, clothing and many many other items are affordable and great quality. I really liked this place and it's a big store. It was my first time in buying size 17 mud boots and I'll be back! Plan on at least 30-60 minutes to troll the store. Very enjoyable experience. read more

Customer service here is outstanding. The prices are fantastic. Whenever my boys grow out of their clothes I bring them here. Pants last way longer when bought here than anywhere else. So im new to the area i came to this place in hope of purchasing my first shotgun.. So i walk in and first thing i notice a fellow that looked like the kid everyone hated for not letting them copy the homework.. Yea that kid... By the way we're not interested in why you couldn't get your license to sell firearms, listening to this specific person made my mother in law sound like chirping birds on a warm saturday morning.. As we kindly ended the conversation, we walked to the back to look at some coats. That's when we start smelling a weird odor only to find out it was one of the teepees that smelled like a hobo's bum on a summer day.. This has to be one of the only places that is trying to sell knives for $200 when you can find the same style and material for $30 or less at walmart i usually say support local but today i say support big stores like Big 5! read more
