My favorite women's clothing shop in Ashland. Two reasons for this; first, I love their clothes and second, the sales staff, especially Kathleen and Ramona, give you an honest opinion on the garment you are trying on. A couple of days ago I was trying on a tunic and asked Kathleen what she thought and she actually told me that she did not like it with the jeans I was wearing! When I returned the next day to try it on with leggings and high boots, she told me that the leggings and boots were better, but it was still not her first choice. I went on to purchase another top that she and several customers in the shop agree was more becoming. This is one of the only dress shops I have visited that will actually tell you that what you are trying on is not becoming, rather than saying it's wonderful in an attempt to sell the garment! read more

I come to Ashland once a year for the festival and after I check in the hotel Kixx is my first stop. I always find something which I love. Last year it was a pair of Foxcroft pants which fit like a dream and a great top. This year it was another cute top and an amazing dress which will be perfect for any dressy occasion. Best of all, it is lightweight and packs beautifully. However, my favorite part of shopping at Kixx is that the sales staff actually suggests items for you to try on once they understand your style. This is really helpful. They are also very honest about what looks good and fits you. This is a great place to shop! read more

I frequently find very good quality clothing in KIXX. Many are made in the USA. The sales people are knowledgable about their inventory and provide attentive service. They are not intursive, but are readily available and helpful when I am in the dressing room if I need a different size, or a different top, etc. They have nice accessories which are reasonably priced and fashionable. The shop owner, Alice, also owns a store in Jacksonville, The Cotton Broker. If they don't have a color or a size I need, they may be able to get it at the other store although the inventory is different. I think you will like it if you visit! read more

I, too, always make a beeline for Kixx when I am up in Ashland. I have many wonderful garments I have bought there. This time was no exception. I always walk in and think "Oh no, this time there is nothing in my style" and then I walk out with several garments! I like it that the sales staff bring things to the changing room that they think you will like and that I would not have noticed otherwise. Prices are middle range I would say. I have spent much time in this store while Nina shopped, but today is the first time I bought anything. Their stock is lovely, but it's more Nina's style, colors and size than mine. I love that there are two comfy chairs in the front flanking a table that has a variety of books as well as Festival publications, so I can sit and read while Nina checks out their clothes. Today, though, there was a fantastic scarf displayed on a black outfit right near the chairs and that scarf called to me. It was only $39 and now it's mine. Nina bought a lovely soft green boucle sweater and admired another piece, a blouse that was just a bit too big on her. Their other store out in Jacksonville had it in a smaller size. We're having dinner in Jacksonville tonight, so we're going out early and Nina will try it on. The staff were friendly and accommodating to arrange for the blouse to be held for her. read more

I am pretty clueless about colors and rely heavily on their taste and suggestions. Recently, Ramona and Shelly teamed up to help me choose an outfit for an upcoming event. I love Kixx! It's a "must visit" shop for every time I visit this charming little city in southern Oregon. Alice and her very friendly and capable staff are friendly and very helpful without being pushy, and they know their inventory well. I dislike shopping in department stores because one often sees many versions of the same old thing and the sheer volume of merchandise is overwhelming. Not so this place. From an amazing long red raincoat ( even though I bought it in the middle of our terrible drought) to the most perfect pair of black ankle pants, this store never fails to deliver. Prices are reasonable, clothing quality is great, and when you wear something from this store you get compliments. I couldn't ask for more in a clothing store. read more

Every time we are in Ashland my girlfriend insists that we stop at Kixx. The service is great, she loves the selection and value, and they just went through a "freshening up" re-modeling that has enhanced the store even more. I just discovered Kixx on my last trip to Ashland and already I'm looking forward to going back. The sales staff is fantastic: not pushy or aggressive but friendly and helpful. The shop carries a number of casual/chic lines not regularly found in department stores and the staff knows their merchandise so are able to suggest you try other pieces once they understand what your style is. The good news and the bad news is that the store is chock full of merchandise, making it a bit of a challenge to navigate the narrow aisles when the store is crowded and everyone is searching the packed racks. I guess I'd rather have the choices than wider, less congested aisles. read more
