I was nicely greeted by Chris and he helped me out with my situation. The store carries high quality men's and women's clothing and accessories, most of which are made in the good old U.S.A. Chris was attentive to my needs and I appreciated the fact he was focusing on what I needed, not trying to force sell me anything he can in the store. I ended up buying a really nice 4th of july inspired button down shirt, some hair products, soap and candles, and an amazing filson leather belt that's made in seattle! I am glad i found this spot. This is definitely a unique spot like no other in the area., and the service is top notch. Definitely not rogue valley mall type of retailer!

Gayle looks pretty fabulous in most everything she wears, so I wasn't worried about having to validate any of her wise choices. However, she does need to take me shopping, because perhaps on a few levels, I don't have a clue. From my perspective, Earthly Goods is a very attractive store that consists of a main floor and 2 mezzanine areas. There were also a couple of nice "male seats" available along with reading material. Gayle liked the selection, along with many of the styles and how they looked on her. However, she was not quite ready to "pull the trigger" on any of her choices. Big Mistake. Big. Huge. I have to go shopping now." I also had a two year old in tow. The bathroom policy is the stores, I think, and not the salespersons. I have tried to supporth this local business even though many people I know will not shop there because of the salespeoples snarky and condescending attitudes towards people they think are "tourists". Does this place ever end?! Geez, you could spend an entire afternoon here! Three levels of…read more(women's) clothing, kitchen tools and accessories, toys, home décor and more! I was able to find a device that had been eluding me for weeks: a spiralizer large enough to handle the stupid huge zucchini that my garden churns out every year, and finally, I found success here! I've seen less selection of cooking doo-dads at big box stores, even those that specialize in culinary contraptions. Now, I'm going to have to pray there's a Paddington Station closer to home when I'm looking for the next gadget, or I'll be making frequent trips to Ashland. My wife had similar success, leaving with a dress for herself and our daughter, as well as a couple of cute flower rings. The selection here is almost overwhelming, but if you're like me, and at least *try* to avoid buying everything on Amazon these days, skip the big box stores, and make a stop at Paddington Station. If you can wear it, hang it up, or use it at home, it's probably here. (FYI, Yelp has two entries for this store in Ashland, so if you're experiencing déja vu reading this...now you know why!)

Three Penny Mercantile was probably the most fun shop we visited throughout our Ashland…read moremini-vacation. From the get-go, the staff were welcoming and friendly, engaging us in conversation about all sorts of nonsense that had nothing to do with the shop, such as roller skates (which one of the ladies was wearing), sci-fi, and life in general. It was a nice personal touch that really endeared us to the store, and stands in stark contrast to the blasé, unaffected state of "customer service" we so often encounter at other shops. Everything in the shop oozed with unique or distinct design, hand-picked by the eye of someone with an eye for flair, flamboyance or fun. Prices were all very reasonable, which came as a surprise in a tourist town like Ashland. While my wife perused the clothing racks, I plumbed the various paperback books on the shelves, picked one out and walked away happy with my choice, for $5 bucks! Not intending to name drop, I asked the attendants if it was OK to take pictures for Yelp, to which they happily agreed, and seemed very thankful. So much so, in fact, that the owner (my guess) told me to pick out another paperback for free! Sometimes, there are perks! My wife also purchased a cute pair of key earrings. Another great perk about the shop was that it stayed open late...like, really late, compared to everything else but the bars. We walked by a few minutes to 11pm and the doors were still open, and music could be heard thumping from within. Had we not been en route to somewhere else, we probably would have popped in again, just to say hey! We'll definitely be making a return stop the next time we are in Ashland, if for no other reason than I'll likely be expected to provide a detailed review of the books I purchased!

Jeans are in good/great condition and found a few designer brands. The prices are similar to Poshmark or ebay. Macy's & designer branded Jeans for $9-$15 is a deal! It's a consignment store NOT a thrift store; selection is based on the population selling their stuff. That being said, there are still some great finds for the under 40yr crowd. A LOT of jeans sizes 0-6. A decent selection for jeans size 6-14 and several racks for "plus sizes". Not a great variety of men's clothing. It's there, but slim pickin's. It's worth a visit just to check out the constantly changing inventory; new arrivals on the front racks. It feels better buying previously purchased clothing vs buying new and better for the environment too!! Today was a sale "buy 5 items, get 20% off your total" I'm a fan :D

The floor is glossy AF. A sign on the window advertising the "Paddington National Park" collection brought me in. People used to ask me about it when I worked in Yosemite, so I was curious as to what it was. I was surprised to find that this store carried dozens of the same exact products as the Yosemite Village Gift shop-- same brands and everything. They also had products I'd seen at other various gift shops around California, like the Smokey Bear backpacks I'd seen in Shasta. They had some cute national park themed outdoor blankets on clearance for $29.99. In the upstairs section, they had all kinds of local Oregon jams. Downstairs, I found a display full of huckleberry candies. I searched for the huckleberry dark chocolate bar that was discontinued in Yosemite last year, but to no avail. They had super cute jewelry from a New York designer that looked just like Betsey Johnson stuff, but cuter. They had some of the cutest floral dresses I've ever seen. I might have to come back for one. They had the best selection of magnets, stickers, and keychains I've seen anywhere so far. I seriously wanted to buy everything here. Would definitely stop by again.
