This is a family run shoe store in Ashland and after my visit I wanted them to adopt me. When the daughter talked about the latest shoe designs she saw at the International Shoe Show, I got a little misty. You know that commercial on TV about the "Mystical Island of Shoes." I ended up with a new pair of sandals from a company called Zumfoot, which is an off-shoot of Birkenstock, since they were running a great promotional sale. I've stopped by this store for years since they carry some of my favorite lines including Dansko (now Sanita), Keen, Naot and Beautifeel, but now I might even take advantage of their free shipping offer and order shoes on-line (http://www.lithiaparkshoes.com/prostores/servlet/StoreFront). They usually have a cat in residence at the store, so you can say hi to Lolita while you browse. The only reason for the four stars instead of five is that during my subsequent visits they rarely have items on sale or just a very small assortment. While I love the personal service, it is too easy not to pay full retail elsewhere.

I'm not sure when they moved to their 2 level shop on Main street, nor do I remember what was here before. Afterall, Gayle and I have been coming to Ashland every year (except COVID) since 2006. I found a nice short and nice fitting sleeve button down shirt for 40% off and a useful Fjällräven travel pouch. There was more to consider, but that will have to wait for the next trip or closer to a future ski season. Store staff were more than helpful in leading me onward.

The employees there were very nice, but there are only two of them with this big store. I understand that it's a very touristy kind of place, but I wish I brought more money. So I was interested to visit the new 'costume shop' in the Railroad District that opened this summer to see what they had in stock. Renaissance Rose offers a variety of themed costumes you can rent or purchase. They have packaged costumes similar to what you'll find around Halloween at other retailers, but also some more interesting pieces. At this point their website seems to be pretty basic, so hopefully that will expand in the future. After visiting both stores, I think the main location still has the broadest selection of items for purchase. Especially wigs, hosiery and accessories. But, if you are looking for a more unique rental, then the costume shop is worth a visit. I was most interested in the hair pieces near the back of the shop.

Well YES they FkYING did work on them and they ruined my boots to where I cannot get them to slip on! they then tried to charge me to fix my boots after they destroyed them! HORRIBLE! WON"T BE BACK!
