What a store! I'll stop here every time I co e trough Ashland. Astonishing ing selection and advice and they were happy to wind my yarn!

I visited this yarn spot for the third time (visits 2 & 3). I originally came in Aug 2019 and was overwhelmed by the selection. Unfortunately I didn't have time for a return visit. What I loved is that I was greeted upon entry and I was taken care of (asked about) but not in an intrusive way. But this time, I got to talk to a couple of people who worked there, and yes, revisit the source of my overwhelm. In a good way, though. What I love is that this place reminds me of the places that we have had here in the East Bay that closed. And the people working there work with yarn, so the conversation was easy. i went back on my third visit and snatched up the colors that I was looking at the previous day. I look forward to going and having time to myself there. This definitely is not a place that people will "wanna get out quick." This place has a lot to offer and deserves to be perused. I just needed a size of knitting needles for a project that I didn't have. I knew the size and they had them in double pointed (which would do, but can be a pain) but I couldn't find them in the circular needle size. When I started to ask if they had them in the circular needle size, I got a lecture about looking at the pattern and going by the mm size. She never did answer my question if they had the needles I was asking for in stock. I didn't buy the double pointed needles. I can get what I wanted from Amazon easier. read more

What an absolutely beautiful store! WOW! Prettiest, biggest, nicest fiber/yarn store I've ever been to. It's right by the park in Downtown Ashland. Park on the street and spend the day here. But don't miss The Websters! The employees are so kind and helpful - showed me around and taught me about some new fibers. Explained about felting, etc. The building is gorgeous brick inside with high ceilings. Any kind of yarn, string, twine, fibers, felting, wool....that you would want. I had a hard time choosing something to bring home from our trip. If we are ever in the area again I will be sure to come back. How lucky they are to have such a great store in the area!! read more

I love this store. The selection is wide-ranging and fabulous. There are many knitted samples of the yarns. Staff have been incredibly helpful to me every time I come in. They are very willing to discuss ideas for my project, show me possible yarns, and give me technical tips. I've been shopping here for years. With the demise of the local yarn store in Medford, Webster's is now the only place I know of that sells yarn and has a knowledgeable staff. read more

I was burned out tired as I just stepped out of the car after 6 hours of driving and I know I wasn't making much sense, but the girl in the pic was so sweet and helpful, considering there were other, probably more lucid, customers! They have gorgeous yarn, but the staff seems disinterested in helping it's customers. I'm new to the area and every time I come in, they are stocking or just standing at the counter, or chatting amongst themselves. Coming from the Bay Area, this is rather shocking to me, that no one takes an interest in what you're knitting, what project you are buying yarn for, etc. It's more fun to buy yarn online and get sweet thank you notes for your business. : ( Very disappointing. I bought 3 skeins of yarn and a set of needles for $54. I pain $6 for an instruction sheet I really didn't want (they are FREE elsewhere). My friend couldn't wear any knits so luckily I returned 2 of the skeins. They reluctantly gave me a credit in spite of it being "against store policy". The yarn I kept requires I carefully undo it and roll it into a ball, although I saw a machine in back that could do it in minutes. I guess I wasn't worthy of that service. Yes, the store is full of ambience and nice yarn but that's it. Spend your money elsewhere unless you want to get rid of it. read more

An excellent selection of yarns, notions, pattern books, jewelry, beautiful and unique garments, leather goods and project bags. Very friendly staff and a great location, just next to Lithia Park. If you're lucky, you can snag a parking spot in front. Otherwise, park where you can nearby and enjoy the stroll through the area, with lots of interesting shops and great people watching. read more

This yarn shop is wonderful. Lots of different types of yarns and accessories, including books. The staff are the biggest selling point - they are both knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. I come and browse and when I get a gift certificate or have something to celebrate, I stock up for a special project. The staff are always a big part of why I walk away with exactly the crochet yarn for a project that I will wear forever. Isn't it great to wear clothing that you created yourself? It doesn't have to be perfect - it's yours and you created it. Human agency doesn't get any cooler than this place. And the energy of the place stems from the calm, happy employees. Just heaven. One of my favorite places in Ashland, full of wearable art I can't afford but love to admire. At the very least I press my nose against their front window and yearn, but usually I go in and drool. Wonderful yarn store. Great selection of yarn with a really helpful knowledgeable staff. They helped me find the yarn in a some patterns so we could determine gauge since the pattern was open lace and it didn't specify. We looked all over the store for 7 different types of yarn for 7 patterns. They are incredibly knowledgeable and make good suggestions. They followed my friend around for 30 minutes while she made up her mind. They were amazing and have been every time we visit. They talked to me about the loom classes and about a special class to design my own sweater. Love them!!n love their yarn selection. We stop here twice a year. read more

This is one of the BEST and FRIENDLIEST yarn stores I have been into in years. The staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and excellent with color selection. This was my second time in the store since I live in Southern California and can only go here when in the area. The service, selection and inventory are so over the top in quality. They have a lot of samples if you are going into the store and not sure what you want to make. When a salesperson waits on you they are not looking around to help others you have there full attention. I love this store and would give them 10 stars if I could. read more

Biggest selection of Habu yarns I had seen (hint: Gossamer in Bend also has a large selection of Habu. Different stock than Websters, so it is great to plan your trip to hit both stores). They give fantastic advice. As a moderately new knitter, I went in wanting to make my first pair of socks and I got great advice on which yarns would be best to learn on and which patterns they recommended most.
